  1. I'm also guilty. I made a post that was not "kid-friendly," which ignited his response. My apologies to everyone who I may have offended.
  2. I think the problem was not so much the opinions of other GMs about Justin as the unusually large number of quality quarterback options available this offseason, many of which are obtainable without giving up draft capital. I'm not sure I ever remember so many quarterbacks moving to new clubs or, at the last minute, resigning with their team. Supply and demand. Although there was a huge demand, there were too many options available to fill the demands.
  3. We almost always get fleeced on trades. The worse was when we got a 3rd round pick for future HOF Greg Olsen. This one is a close 2nd. We got garbage. Should have kept him and gambled on a better trade in future.
  4. I see your point. He should have been motivated. Let's hope we have a round 2 selection to begin with. LOL
  5. If SearSTower has an inside source, we'll soon know who it is when Warren announces the Bears have fired and replaced 'the source.' If he is just jacking us around to get likes and followers, screw him and his momma.
  6. If he has motivation & self-pride, the Bears trainer & dietician will get him in condition to be a 3 or 4 down 3T,

    Free Agency 2024

Because they are in our division, they'd have to pay a premium. 11 & 23 from this years 1st rd PLUS, a minimum of a 1st in 2025 and a 2nd in 2026. Otherwise, screw them. Sorry, no love loss for the Vikes.
  8. What you smoking, man? They'd never accept that deal unless we included V. Jones in the package. 🤣
  9. After watching this video, I wouldn't mind seeing Jayden Daniels in a Bears Uniform. Very impressive. Warner commented on how he understands why some execs consider him the #1 QB prospect. Kurt's QB Insider: Jayden Daniels' strengths and weaknesses
  10. I'd love to see Scott turn it around this year. Most of us had high expectations for his rookie season. For whatever reason, he struggled. I am hoping that with the rookie year behind him and with the addition of KA, he can become a productive WR for us.
  11. One of the reasons for this is the fantastic trade he crafted with Carolina last year. Will the enormous success of that trade influence him to repeat trading #1? Or does he cash out, accepting his bounty without going for the gold via trade 2.0?
  12. I like Allen, but his age is a concern, and giving up another draft pick, cripes. If this keeps up, we won't need to turn in to see the Bears draft; we won't have any picks after the first round (unless his tossing picks around so freely indicates his possible trade of our first-round picks).

    Free Agency 2024

Solid move, 2 good options at Center, both an upgrade over last year's debacle Roster Move: Bears agree to terms with veteran OL Coleman Shelton
  14. But will Poles want to pay starting LOT money for him to resign when his rookie deal expires?
  15. My memory sucks, but I know for sure these are in the "Keep Fields" corner: Chase Daniels Jared Allen Vinnie Iyer (of Sporting News) Joe Broback (of Pro Football Network) I think for every "Keep Fields" advocate, there are two who insist we need to "Trade/Cut Fields" Me? Keep Fields, but draft a top QB prospect, preferably with one of the picks from a record-setting trade of #1.
  16. Sorry! Unintentional, I assure you.
  17. A waste of valuable resources.
  18. Or maybe Justin has no idea what Poles will ultimately decide to do and is, therefore, on vacation, which he said was his plan while things settled, and has nothing to tell reporters.
  19. My favorite combo that I think is reasonably possible is Caleb Williams QB & Rome Odunze WR
  20. Do you think it is possible that the Bears will be so bad that they will fire Flus before the end of the 2024 season?

    Free Agency 2024

It seems Poles is staying true to form. He has said in the past that many players in the first wave of free agency are quite often overpaid because of teams' frantic efforts to outbid each other for specific players. With his emphasis on improving the Bears' roster with player upgrades, he is doing so with players from the second and sometimes the third (after draft) FA periods. Sitting here today, I see so many players I would have loved for Poles to sign. However, if he had signed all of them, the Bears would have been back in Salary Cap Hell. LOL
  22. Watching FA coverage on NFL network, it is obvious no one knows what the Bears are going to do. I heard one 'expert' say JF would be traded before FA Another said before the draft, yet another said best value would be during the draft One said it would be fine if JF shared the Locker room with a QB drafted, another said it would be a disaster All of this on one telecast. LOL
  23. Damn, he signed cheap. I assume it's because he will still rip off Denver for big $$ remaining on the contract. I just saw on NFL network he signed for 1 year at 1.2M Pittsburgh could be dangerous this year.
