Last drive was disorganized. I must admit, this was probably his best game he has played for some time. By far his best performance this year. I thought he would choke big time and the Pats would kill the Giants. As it was, the Pats were lucky to win this one.

I was expecting a boring game, turn it off at half time. Oooops, great game!! I'M glued!!
-
He actually pancaked a DL for the Giants on the TD run by LM. Unbelievable!!

Collingsworth is a real tool. That desperation pass by Brady that Moss was not able to catch, Collingsworth thinks he should have made the catch, cripes, he was lucky to get as close to catching it as he did. I have no love for Moss but give him a break, it was NOT a catchable pass!

This is costing NYG too much, Injuries, could effect their chances next week.

I would like to see Turner for the Bears. I do not want to give up anything silly to get him. Last year he was looking to break the bank. I do not think his stock is as high this year in that he was used so little.
-
I would have to say NEP just to spite MIA, certainly not because I like the Pats, I do not! Maybe a close one, and followed by a loss in their 1st playoff game, LOL (sorry Boston Bear)

Well if he definately goes, and does not get a HC offer, I have to believe Lovie, if considering replacing Turner, would jump on the opportunity to reunite with Martz BIG TIME!

I just did a search on the net for 2008 Mock Drafts. I think I viewed over a dozen. I would guess 9 of the 12 or more had us drafting QB Andre Woodson, 1 or 2 had QB Brohm, only 1 had a non QB and had us with Clady. I am disappointed I could not find a good multi round mock that did not have us taking someone other than a QB round 1. I know QB is a great need and if JA finds one in RD 1 that he thinks is a must have - can't miss - prospect, well, maybe he pulls the trigger. I am still hoping to pick up a workable vet in FA, draft a QB later in the draft, and go for OT or Safety in Rd 1.

I am totally confused here. Why would Detroit fire Martz? It would seem the Lions are progressing. It is their defense that sucks wads. With their starting RB injured just about the entire year they did look good on offense. I am sure Martz & Lovie were on very good terms in STL. Would Martz want to come to this team would be the question. To fix our offense would be a heck of a challenge!

I do not think weather will be much of a factor in tomorrows game unless NOS players are a bunch of wussies that cant play in low 30s. I do believe the Bears will win, I think we will best them by at least a td.

Hey, if you see any of our regulars stranded out there at another site be sure to give them the heads up about this forum. I am hoping everyone who was active on the old forum makes it over. We sent out emails but a lot of guys did not update their emails on the Bearstalk.com forum and many were returned (or inadvertently wound up in spam folders).

Great to see you join us!! I know things are a bit different but if you play around with the options available you will be surprised how smooth this works. We have lots of amenities here we did not have before and no commercial ties for the first time EVER, so hopefully this will be the last stop on the long line of sites since Da Shrine first launched.

Connorbear, I have never had any objection to your signature, nor have I ever seen any of the hundreds and hundreds of posters who posted tens of thousands of posts on Bearstalk object to it. It is a-ok in my book. I can't understand why it should be an issue with anyone.

I must admit that when drafted I thought Sanders was over rated. I was obviously wrong. When it was mentioned he would be a possible FA I was in the "dream mode" hoping the Bears would make a move for him. Obviously, this is not going to happen now he is resigned. M Brown needs to return and stay healthy for the 2008 season. His presence on the field automatically makes our defense so much better. Knowing there is a good chance he will not remain healthy for the entire 2008 (if history means anything), it worries me. We need a better contingency plan for 2008 if he goes down. Our safety play this year I feel was the main reason for the downfall of our defense.

Tough choice, went with Long, but would be thrilled with McFadden, Clady, or Phillips. Unfortunately, as you said, many of these will not be available to the Bears and I certainly do not see JA trading up, not his M.O., and this year we have too many needs even if he did want to trade up, it would be inadvisable.

Is that a bit of sarcasm I am reading, LOL.

Yep we are FAMILY - we fight just like brothers & sisters, LOL. I agree, we are all avid football fans and Bears fanatics but everyone here has their feet on the ground and realize values in life. Welcome Aboard!!
-
LOL, your probably right on that, but at least it takes away a big part of their bragging rights and still keeps the Pats from another SB. Trying to have the best of both worlds since the Bears will unfortunately be spectators.
-
AHH, come on now, BB you know I'm your pal, just can't stand the Pats, LMAO!!!!

With all this speculation of Url moving to Will, I must admit I doubt seriously if the Bears would make such a move. I guess it depends on just how bad his back is and if he himself would feel comfortable in such a change. Still an interesting idea.

I have been looking for stats on WR dropped passes for 2007. The only link I have is for a site called sports.iwon.com where it gives the top 20 players in each conference. On that listing (use link above to view) it only shows D Clark of CHI in the top 20 with 6 drops (bad news since he does not get as many looks as many others on the list). What would be interesting is a listing of WRs showing drops in relation to looks, or in otherwords, the percentage of drops compared to receptions/catchable passes. How would Moose & Berrian compare to others around the league? I think we would be surprised to find they are no where near the leaders in this area.

I wish I had caught the interview. I will have to check the Score website to see if it is available as replay. A High School who has players study game film? Wow, how things have changed. Never heard of HS players doing that, certainly not something we did in HS (of course, I played HS Football back in the 60s, LOL).

There has been a lot of speculation among us Bear fans that Mushin & Darwin need to depart, overpaid in comparison to production. According to this article both are due bonuses in March. Looks like we not have to wait very long before we find out their fate!! In regards to Berrian, I say resign him using the money we save cutting Moose and then move forward. Maybe pickup a veteran WR to go along with the rest of our WRs who we are developing but are struggling to do so because of the OL/QB play.

An interesting article from Profootballweekly.com: I am also anxious to see Mike Okwo next season. Hope both he and Dusty can shake injuries!!
