  1. If Martz is hired, I see them either taking off or going through the floor with no middle ground. Most likely, it will prove to be a disaster and we will be getting a new GM and coaching staff next yr. Peace
  2. Tice has 1 more year on his deal with the Jaguars. He was their TE coach. Peace
  3. I was refering to this statement that you made: Good candidates that come here know that this isn't where they want to be and aren't truely interested in coaching for a Lame Duck and the quacks leading this mess.. I would argue that Tice is an outstanding candidate for OL coach. So how does that fit into your statement? Why would he come here? Peace
  4. Can't do that. Don't you know the Bears are the laughing stock of the league!!!!! The funny thing is this reminds alot of when Jerry Krause was trying to get top tiered free agents to come to Chicago. I remember them bringing Benny the Bull to the airport to meet Tracy McGrady. I wonder if Staley greets our candidates at Halas Hall??? I agree with you. Let's just wait this out and see what happens. Peace
  5. More power to him. At least he is not waisting there time. Peace
  6. This is nothing but conjecture. No way, in my opinion, do they have any kind of an arrangement with Cowher. If they wanted him, a change would have already been made. Peace
  7. Playing devils advocate to this statement. Please explain Mike Tice. Do you think he is not a good candidate for O-Line Coach? Peace
  8. I'd like to see you say that to him in person. Peace
  9. I would love to see Zorn hired as QB coach. He did a great job with Hasselback. Peace
  10. The Bears should contact Indy and ask what the situation is now, if possible, so they can move forward if necessary. You would think the Colts would have the professional courtesy to let us know either way. Peace
  11. Wow. Now you guys are listening to Hub Arkush. I thought most everyone felt he was a tool????? Crackerdog would be very disappointed in you. Peace
  12. Correct. That is why they didn't clean house this yr. Peace
  13. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,7152430.story Peace
  14. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...y-thursday.html Peace
  15. I do not want a college coach that does not have NFL experience. Same with AFL. I simply think Plank needs a couple years as DB coach before he is a DC. Just my opinion. Peace
  16. Everyone does realize that this is just speculation, right? Peace
  17. Rivera was the Linebacker coach at Philly. I get the Plank love. I get the whole from the Buddy Ryan tree idea. I am simply saying I believe he needs more time to develop. I would love to see on our coaching staff as the DB coach and then, in a few years, DC. I simply see no way this will happen with Lovie as head coach. Peace
  18. That why I said 'perceived' strength. Peace
  19. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2010/01/be...e_cignetti.html Peace
  20. Why don't you ask Larry Meyer on the Bears site? I'm sure he'll give you a canned, fluff answer. Peace
  21. Hoke has experience calling plays which Marinelli does not. If the Bears end up promoting from within, I would much rather promote Hoke than promote Marinelli. Promoting Marinelli would be we weakening a perceived strength. Peace
  22. How do we know what defense Babich ran at North Dakota (we didn't even know he was head coach)? When has Plank ever shown knowledge beyond the cover 2? He was the assistant defensive backs coach at NY and Atlanta. He was like Gill Byrd now on the Bears and their is no way I would promote Byrd to DC. I would be willing to promote him to DB coach and then see how he does. Same with Plank. Peace
  23. Jerry did mention waiting for the recruiting period to be over so they could interview some college candidates. http://www.csnchicago.com/pages/blog_moon Peace
  24. Connorbear posted a topic in Bearstalk
If the Bears promote from in, Hoke should be the man. Check out his bio. Haugh says he is definately an in your face coach which should make many of you happy. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/coach.asp?coach_id=28 If he is promoted they could promote Gill Byrd who is currently the asst. defensive backs coach. Peace
