  1. When it comes the Bears, I am not media. I don't cover the NFL unless were talking Bulaga who went to one of the four high schools I cover. Peace
  2. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/03/28/baf...ion-of-loyalty/ Peace
  3. When I say past his prime, I meant he was no longer the superstar he once was. I still think he is a viable return man but the way the position has been devalued I don't see him worth more than the vet minimum. The only returner I see being worth more that vet minimum is one who is above average and can reliably play another position or Hester in his prime. Peace
  4. I never said he wasn't good anymore. I said he wasn't worth more than the veteran minimum - there is a difference. Peace
  5. Great signing. I am very happy with this. Peace
  6. Alrighty then!!! Peace
  7. I would love to see him make the hall so I wouldn't mind if he got another four or five to secure his place. Peace
  8. Any return he has in the post season wouldn't count. He would already have the record if it did (i.e. the Superbowl). Peace
  9. Because I don't believe a 32 year-old kick returner/punt returner that is above average (we agree he's not great anymore) is worth any more than the veteran minimum given the fact that kick returns are being legislated out of the game. Peace
  10. Trestman did not. That's all that mattered. Maybe five years ago he could have done something with him but not now. Peace
  11. Hell no. He's not worth that anymore. Peace
  12. That's why I said this - "I agree he's going to be held accountable for the decline in defense and special teams if he doesn't right the ship." Peace
  13. I'll agree on this. If Donald is not there in the first, I would take him. Peace
  14. I'll trust Trestman's decisions on offense over you. I agree he's going to be held accountable for the decline in defense and special teams if he doesn't right the ship. Trestman saw no value in Hester playing offense and obviously felt his skills at special teams have declined enough to move on special teams. Peace
  15. What does Hester not playing WR because Trestman didn't want him to have to do with the defense or special teams? Peace
  16. Connorbear replied to madlithuanian's topic in Bearstalk
    Outstanding - thanks!!! Peace
  17. I joined the original site back in the late '90s. Peace
  18. Trestman, the guy who turned around our offense, did not want him to play WR. It's really that simple. Peace
  19. He didn't know where to line up on the field (do you not remember this?). Trestman did not want him to play WR or he would have. I trust his judgement with the offense. Peace
  20. I actually thought DJ Williams was playing very well before he went down (at a much higher level than Url's final year). No way, no how would Hester be playing WR on our team unless you're going to bring back Mushin to line him up. Peace
  21. Corey - Thank you for being the player to end Brett Favre's career. Good luck. Peace
  22. Yeah, we know about your amazing draft prowess. You always remind us. I'm glad the Bears moved on. Loved Hester in his prime but he is not the same player he was. I hope he breaks the record this next year. Peace
  23. In your humble opinion. Let's see what happens if the proposals fail. Peace
  24. Damn. Should have paid Hester $2 million to stay and have his return work cut in half. Peace
  25. Would love this draft. Peace
