First, I want to let everyone know it was nothing anyone said directly that caused me to step away for awhile especially not Mad. I enjoy the arguments we have on the board. Someone mentioned it wasn't the negativity but the overreaction we see here and I think they were right. I simply needed to step away for a while to clear my perspective. It's good to be back and I apologize if I offended anyone. I have been a member of this board and the previous board for almost 15 years and I'm not going anywhere. Peace

Cheap dollars trying to be made off Walter...

Whatever. You know my opinion. I think everyone's obsession here with the media is ridiculous. Keep on posting. I am about done with this sight because I am simply sick of the negativity. I think you all are good people but after a while the constant criticism and negativity is grating. Maybe I simply need to break away for a while. Take care. Peace -

I don't understand why people get so upset about stuff like this. You don't like, don't read it. Walter was a great football player. I loved him as a football player; nothing more. He wasn't perfect off the field. Who is and who really cares? This gentleman has a right to write his book and you have a right not to read it. I have no interest in reading it or getting caught up in it. I write for a local community newspaper and I had someone from our school district office complain to me about a negative story we ran on the school district. He said he was disappointed and thought we were trying to be a positive influence on the community. My response - we report the news, good or bad. Don't like, don't read it. End of discussion. It would have made it a 3-point game with 51 seconds left. We would have still had to convert the on-side kick. Peace

Corey Graham admitted he grabbed a player going by him at around the 40-yard line. It was just for a brief second and had no impact on the play but he said it was his fault and he should have let the player go by. In the end it makes no difference. We would not have won the game. However, I will say again that Dave Toub is a genius and is the one coach I never want to leave this team. Peace

They need to win 4 of the next 5 IMHO. Peace

I watched the replay a couple of times and it looked as if Graham grabbed the defenders shoulder around the 40 yard line. It was very quick and fairly ticky tack. I have seen much worse never called. Peace

Alex Brown was let go after we signed Peppers (we originally signed him to an extension). Mike Brown was let go after multiple injuries (we originally signed him to an extension). Harris was traded. Columbo was injured and we had carried him for a year and a half. Orton was traded for Cutler. Olsen was traded. Kruetz was offered a contract larger than the one he signed. Holdman was part of that tag f/u Angelo's first year (10 years ago). Bears tried to sign Colvin but he signed with the Patriots for more. He was done a few years later. No idea on Parrish. Peace

Your choice. What player have the Bears drafted and developed that they have not signed that we wanted them to keep? The only one I can think of is Berrian and he was completely over-paid by the Queens. Please let me know who else they have let get away. They screw up a lot of things but they have done a great job retaining their talent IMHO. Peace
-
He also drafted Forte but I guess you don't want to give him credit for that. They offered Forte an extension that was based on the fact he is still under contract. They will obviously offer him a different contract if he becomes a FA. Everyone just needs to relax. Peace
-
Worse case scenario IMHO they will tag him and then work out a deal. He is not going anywhere. Peace
-
He's playing under his rookie contract that is not finished. The Bears met with him and tried to negotiate a new contract. It didn't work out and will most likely be dealt with after the season. I am 99% confident he will remain a Bear after next season. Peace
-
The GM tags the player. If a deal is not reached, they will tag Forte. Barber and Bell are no where near the talent Forte has. Peace
-
So he's going to screw the deal to fxxx with the fans??? Extremely doubtful. Why would he do that? The Bears can still franchise tag him as necessary. No way he is going anywhere. Peace
-
Who was the only Bear player that Angelo let walk that was worth a darn? Berrian who signed a ridiculous contract with Minnesota. He will sign Forte. You all need to relax. Peace

I hate when anyone says we were lucky last year. I think it detracts from how well they played. They played damn well last year after the break and almost came back in the playoffs with their 3rd string qb. Peace
-
Bennett is clearly their best route runner. With him out they are in trouble. Peace
-
The fact that the Bears were playing Cutler will 6 minutes to go in a game where they were getting killed should be a criminal offense. Pay Forte. Sanzenbacher cannot drop the crossing pass. The Bears are going to miss Bennett who I fear may be done for the season. I don't with the Hester starting experiment. He should get 15 to 20 snaps a game period. Peace
-
Have a great time! Pleace
-
Agreed 100%. Peace
-
The question has never been for the Bears whether or not to pay Forte. The question is how much. Peace
-
Props to Rex. He did what he needed to do to help his team win today. Peace

Are you one of the haters?????
