What is this post about? You think Manu has been worth the top $$$ we gave him in FA? Peace
  2. Connorbear replied to a post in a topic in Bearstalk
And they lost to Arizona. Don't forget that. Peace
  3. Connorbear replied to a post in a topic in Bearstalk
Agreed. Starters needed to come out earlier. Peace
  4. Connorbear replied to a post in a topic in Bearstalk
I agree. He wasn't worth the money. Peace

Good. Let them go and beat Philly and Atlanta to get to us. I would love to see a Packers/Bears NFC Championship game at Soldier Field. Peace

We beat the Packers when it mattered earlier this year. This game does not matter for us. I sure hope no one gets hurt. Peace

And if one of our star players is seriously hurt then how will you feel? I hate the Packers but this game means nothing to us. The only goal should be to stay healthy. Peace

I hope its true. I still say its 50/50 him coming back next year. Peace
  9. Benett was a 3rd rounder the year before Iglesias. Gilbert was a 3rd rounder the same year Melton was taken in the 4th round. I believe Moore was taken in the 4th round along with Melton. Knox was a 5th rounder. So for the 2009 draft, Iglesias and Gilbert (3rd rounders) are both gone. 4th rounders Melton and Moore make significant contributions along with Knox. I agree, overall Angelo has a below average draft record especially in the top 3 rounds. My opinion, however, is the coaching staff has done a piss poor job developing talent until recently. Peace

The benefit is he is giving Forte plays off. Other than that, he is a waste. Peace
  11. You are going to strike out every now and again. He blew the Iglesias pick but hit with both Bennett and Knox. The Gilbert pick was horrible but Melton looks like a stud. Peace
  12. Please have a safe and happy New Year!!!! Peace
  13. Exactly. Peace
  14. No way, no how does Dent deserve to be in before Favre. I hate Favre as well but he is a first ballot HOF. Dent is a fringe HOF. He will probably make it eventually but he was no where near the player Favre was. Peace
  15. FANTASTIC!!!! Thanks for posting. Peace
  16. Absolutely and I would also have Pete Rose in the baseball HOF. Peace
  17. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6346415.story Peace
  18. I hate Favre as much as any Bear fan but there is no way he is not a first ballot Hall of Famer. He's a turd and a dirt bag but a first ballot HOF none the less. Peace
  19. The bears have led the NFL in creating turnovers since Lovie took over as head coach. You can call it passive but it does exactly what it is supposed to do - generate turnovers. Peace

We are 11-5 and have clinched our division. The only loss in the last 8 games came to the best team in the league. We are pretty good. Peace
  21. This is the basis of the cover-2 which they actually play less than 50% of the time. You have to generate pressure from the front 4. Personally, I wouldn't call it gutless - it is just part of the scheme. Peace
  22. Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!!!!!!! Peace
  23. I will respectfully disagree. Hester is a great player - the greatest returner ever but I find it extremely hard to compare him to other positions that are on the field for 60 to 70 plays a game. Further, I would find it difficult to place him in the top 10. Here are some of the names I would consider before him: Payton Sayers Luckman Hampton Butkus Ditka Nagurski George Turner Singletary Urlacher Also, you can't compare contributions of Cutler to Hester in terms of wins. This is Hester's 5th year on the team and Cutler's second. Again, Hester is the greatest returner ever and their is really no arguing that point. I simply have a hard time saying he would be considered top 10 of all time. Peace
