Trading is not possible. The bonus money is guaranteed from the team that gave the contract.

There is something about coaches that have fire. The quite smart type just haven't got it done in Chicago. If Harbaugh gets fired, you have to consider it. Jauron, Smith, and now Trestman have that quite approach. It's worth consideration.
-
He audibled out of at least two other run plays in the first also. Time to take away the audible.
-
Not really, just say'n. Only because that is how this has played out. He was called out by Marshall, so maybe they light it up next week.
-
The Bears need to run the ball. Cutler can't be changing the plays to start the game off. Establish a run, short passes, and then take your shots. Forte is a top RB in this league and to be greedy by passing has alway burnt the Bears. Limit Cutler on his plays is what needs to happen.
-
Ha! Next week Cutler will look great and it goes back and forth.
-
As I said Lovie was tied to Urlacher, Trestman is tied to Cutler. Nothing will change because Cutler is not going anywhere with his contract. Best we can do is put pieces in place to draft a QB two drafts for now.
-
Unfortunately, we have to play out his 3 yrs. This team is bad.
-
I believe he was ticketed/charged for leaving the scene. Saying he was drunk is skeptical. Being young and destroying an expensive toy and then wanting it to be replaced by insurance could be his reason for running. Regardless, there has been worse and he's been good since.

So true. Draft one had a blueprint of the previous regime and I swore Angelo made that Hardin pick. I think one more solid draft will elevate the defense if we don't swing and miss on S. After that, we can target upgrades/playmakers. CB, LB, DT will need more depth too.

Re-draft challenge Today I went through the first 4 rounds, picked 30 players within those rounds including the guys we drafted and compared how they are doing. I would not change our draft at all. Guys that are performing Mosley, Donald, Barr, and maybe Pryor. Im mainly comparing players we wanted too. Other than those 3 our first 4 rounds Fuller, Ferguson, Sutton, Carey, and Vereen are doing as much or more than any of us imagined. Sure, Carey/Vereen not as much, but for fourth rounders in year one is great to see the field. Check out the draft, check out 6 weeks of stats, am I wrong? This effort by the scouting and front office is something few NFL teams experience. Lets hope they continue spoiling us and I think they will get some respect and patience with there next "who/what" pick.

Glad he is back too. This guy needs to produce because it sickens me to see how well Chandler Jones has been doing for NE (21 career sacks) and to think we had a choice. Regardless, he has made more progress at LB and hopefully it continues.
-
Never has. He is supposedly the highest paid rugby player and is leaving that pay dirt to pursue a career in the NFL. He has size and speed, 6-2 220 and his 40 time was 4.33 coming out of college. Worst case, he is a practice squad player, Middle case-Special teams contributor, Best case- RB (not a hard transition IMO) He has motivation to be great to go along with his athletic size and ability.
-
Just for SCS Since there is no answer I've seen yet for a kick off returner, how about bringing this guy in for a look. Jarryd Hayne 26 years old is a speedster rugby player. 6-2" 220 He would be best suited to play special teams if anywhere to start off. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11703333...chase-nfl-dream

The Bears biggest need coming into the offseason will be 1.) Safety, 2.) CB, and 3.) DT. I am liking the way Paea has played this season, so it would be nice to re-sign him. There is also a slight need for another TE, possibly a #3 RB, and depth at WR. DE is only a need if they plan on releasing Allen.
-
That almost INT almost cost us... Plus they never showed him looking at the ipad either.
-
This would be a good test, these 3 were good college LBs and it's time to see if they can play in the NFL. I would like to know if we can go into the next two years with these guys or have to draft one high or over pay one in FA. Does Jackson run over them or do we make it a passing game only?
-
That would be a huge issue. Glad he is battling through it. Maybe sitting a game would help, but it's not in his nature with every game as important as they seem.
-
Many experts warned that Marshall will have a down year due to the traveling for his NFL spot in NY. I didn't buy it, and I'm not an expert....
-
I've seen a Suh interview or two this year after a game. He is putting himself out there after games to talk and he has sounded respectable. I think he realizes his contract Is about up and needs to re-image himself in order to get a max deal.
-
Sounds like a great idea...one random Bears fan who will wear #12 gets to return one kickoff per game. Game check goes to charity of choice. DeCamillis gets promoted to 12th man return coach in this new promotion.
-
Cutler is not going anywhere. It is not possible for 3 years. Cutler would have to agree to tear up his contract to be traded also. They cut him, it costs the 50 million? Not happening.
-
I like our youth in McClellin, Bostic, Greene, and Jones. They are growing, but if a clear cut blue chip falls, I am ok with an upgrade. Our roster really don't have room for another, but if we can draft a probowl prospect at the mike you do it imo. Looking at our roster depth, I see additions at S, DT, and CB. Those three are thin with long term depth.

Free agency is always an option. I would prefer to avoid that route, but take it if it gets us over that hump then have at it. In time if Emery does his job right, we should start earning compensatory picks. That is a true sign of a team that gets it from ownership down to waterboys. Its too bad Jerry Angelo left this team bankrupt. We have lots of promise, but not enough to reckon with yet. A homerun next draft at one of those key posistions could be it and more creativity from a DC that has been up and down year two.

Just a little brotherly luv punch! If Slaussens ankle don't hold up, I wonder which way they go? I need to get used to Trestmans way of disclosing injuries. He seems to change words after being briefed.
