  1. I have no problems if the Bears see Mosely as a long term answer to making this d dominant again. I also would like to see if Bostic, Shea, and Greene can develop. Regardless, we will need depth, especially after this season. I also think our d will have a different feel to it next season. We will see different fronts and more blitzes, and I think 4 LBs on the field at times. I think that is why we are eyeing Barr if he falls as an option.
  2. My take-these are 6 he like, he'd be escatic if 3 are available. Donald Lewan Ebron Dix Pryor Barr
  3. ASHKUM BEAR

    WTF moment

a.) He fills a position of need (DT, S, CB) b.) He likes his prospects from the senior bowl that excelled c.) He has leaned more towards athletic/physical ability
  4. I'm not big on the need of a LB, but he would be towards the bottom of my RD3 players I would target.
  5. Emery also said teams have contacted him about trading down. But a player they are interested in will need to be available. He didn't rule out offense either.
  6. The all LSU draft, blah: TRADE #14 TO CLEVELAND for #26, (2015) 1ST RD PICK, AND 2014 4th RD. 1. Odell Beckham Jr. WR 2. Jeremy Hill RB 3. Ego Fergusan DT 4. Zach Mettenberg QB 4. Anthony Johnson DT 5. Lamin Barrow ILB 6. Craig Loston SS 6.0 Trai Turner G
  7. Donald/Hageman! Nice, you can have flexibility of rotating the two also. With fear of Donald not being an everydown guy and Hageman taking plays off. If Bucannon was there I'd question that. Fun to follow and keep it going
  8. Two TE sets is what this offense needs, but the defense needs to be the focus. If this draft somehow fell this way, I'd be ecstatic. It seems unrealistic but hey, it has me dreaming. I seen a mock today with Buccanon as the first S taken. This was done by ourlads, which were former nfl scouts.
  9. Being in the Bourbonnais area might be a little more interesting having cameras in town. I've never asked for autographs, but shared handshakes, beers, and games of bags and golden tee with many players. Not sure if they follow the players out, but if so i may get a cameo.
  10. I'm fine with Mosely, but like mentioned before I would prefer Donald, Dix, and Pryor before. Shutdown corners are a premium, thats why I think you take one before a LB.
  11. Detroit may be using Suh as bait to trade up for Watkins. Another trade possibility is SF looking to trade up for WR Mike Evans. If Evans makes it to 11, doubtful, the Giants would love to move down with multiple needs at TE, OT, C, DT. That may give the Bears a shot at Donald. But SF will be a player in getting Evans.
  12. Pick 11 is worth 1250, pick 11 is worth 1100. Our 3rd is worth around 200, there 5th around 50. It worked out value wise.
  13. That draft and many before, Phil's first draft sure felt like Angelo was still pulling the strings. At least they threw anchor before the boat hit shore. I think repairs could be made this year to float again and then they can start adding the upgrades to operate at full speed next year.
  14. I also see Detroit is shopping Suh, they might be in the DT market.
  15. If it was for Clowney I bet you would. The reason I'd consider this is Donald fills the one position we need the most. Some scouts have said he is a top 5 talent and if he had 2 more inches, he'd be considered the top pick. We still have the same amount of picks, just 100 slots down the chart.
  16. Would you trade your 1st and 3rd for a 1st and 5th if it meant securing Aaron Donald? It is worth a consideration if Tennessee would and we thought NYG would take him at 12.
  17. Same thing I thought. It is the offseason and players usually do take a break before offseason training. It was said last year at TC that Shea came in a little lighter. At that point, he might have been told to beef back up which would come with adding whatever weight comes fastest. I also believe the Lovie theory. Lovie had a big hand in player selection, which if he never took that power, he may still be here. Lets hope Trestman and Emery keep a good working relationship.
  18. Well prepare, I asked to be bold. I dont want to see you on here the week after saying yourthey were all your guys. Skov was slow, but so was Vontaze Burfict. You can't teach the skills they have. You have 12 days.
  19. nice work! I like TE Colt Lyeria and think he's worth a look. Long gets along with him. Maybe he can mentor him.
  20. We are under two weeks until the 2014 draft kicks off. The long wait will soon be over. Time to be bold and make some predictions. Who do you think the Bears will draft? You can predict one pick or all 7. Here is my take: Rd1. RaShede Hageman DT- I don't think Donald will get by 12. Hageman is still learning, athletically gifted, and has size. Rd2. Deonne Buccanon S - size, speed, and a need Rd3. Pierre Desir CB- lengthy small school talent with great understanding of work ethic Rd4. Shayne Skov LB- hard nosed LB that makes plays. One yr removed from injury and getting legs back Rd5. Walt Aikens CB- loading up on small school DBs, one will emerge Rd6. DeAnthony Thomas RB- Bears have interest, can play multiple roles Rd6. Marqueston Huff FS- another S to compete Next..
  21. I was one that thought it would be crazy for Shea to play LB, only bc he is a 3-4 OLB. I am now backing off that thought because he resembles a young Urlacher, with a smaller neck. If he and the coaches put in the work, he just might be something. Also, for all the talk about drafting the LB Barr, that would be making the same mistake all over again. Unless we do become a 3-4 base, it makes no sense.
  22. Cross Purifoy off the list, he is in trouble with the Po-Po.
  23. I agree a shutdown corner is gold, but we also don't know if they will turn gold or into coal. It will be a tough decision if Donald is also available.
  24. You know I was only kidding, I am number 2 on the Aaron Donald bandwagon. I just love the responses saying he is too small and he cannot play the run, yet he had 66 stops behind the line of scrimmage, meaning he is blowing by the dlineman and destroying the RB.
