The camp I attended, you couldn't see a whole lot. I think right now, they are more concerned on seeing proper technique and being in the right place. This coming week, they will turn it up and I think thats were we will see guys emerge. I suppose I didn't see much because Cutler, Marshall, and Jeffrey drew most of the attention. I did keep my eye on Ego n Will, them two are inseparable. Shea looked tall and lean, I seen him cover well against a TE. Fuller looked more like a vet, Not shy or timid being around the first unit.
-
Great read! I agree with this too. It will be interesting to see how this team comes together.
-
If Briggs can't hang, bring in Greene. Reports out of camp are Greene looks the best out of the group. I do think Briggs plays lights out, this is a contract year and that guy likes money.
-
I'm excited to see this years D, I believe coaching is a difference maker. I think Herring will have these guys ready and will make a big difference with the youth. We have McClellin, Bostic, Greene and Jones under contract for 2-3 seasons. If they can follow coaching, LB won't be a need until 2015-2016. Future picks can be used to fill S, DT, and CB next year.
-
They were excited on 670 the Score saying Fuller has two INT's. My thought...it's "practice"....it's only "practice" (Allen Iverson) Great to see he is making plays though, that's what we need.
-
Burn him at the stakes in Salem!!! The guy also said good things about the Bears. He is going to say good things about Julius Peppers regardless of were he plays, them two were teammates and had each others back. That loyalty has always meant more to Brian.
-
I think the Bears will play Jennings more at the Nickel myself, Fuller will get as much experience in the position he was drafted to hold down. My training camp surprise is Ego Fergusan, I believe he will challenge Paea and possibly take over with the first team. 8 Days until camp opens....

I was putting it as safe from not getting cut. Even if Vereen starts which it is looking promising, we still need depth like Conte who is on a cheap rookie contract.
-
A.) Mundy must have been mediocre so far in OTA's and mini camp B.) Conte is still safe
-
We have promise in Bostic and McClellin, Greene is right there too but a little he can use this year to hone in on WLB.

I've been to the last two Blackhawk parades and the feeling is like nothing else and a must on a bucket list. After seeing the Whitesox parade on TV, I said I will not miss another one. To see the Bears parade through town under ticker tape is at the top of my sports bucket list, well right under attending the Super Bowl game.
-
It would be fun to watch, but rather have them concentrating on 100% football and not trying to become a tv star. Not getting this will allow them to keep their heads that much more into football.

We really need to throw away our 2013 memories of the horrendous D. This is a new year and with luck, this unit can stay healthy and show us something. They are working on the flaws, which a lot of it came down to being out of position. The positive point on this is Bostic and McClellin are pushing themselves into possibly starters. If they fail, we have a vet DJ Williams who can step in. If they succeed, we have two young/fast LBs that can attack, which Tucker uses the Mike/Sam in his blitzs.

Looks like I threw a dart and hit a bullseye. Palmer has a strained pectoral http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,5863426.story Signs of Johnson and Fales taking all the 2nd team snaps led me to think something was not right with Palmer.
-
How great will that be if things fall in place and these two excel (Bostic/Shea). Give Greene this season to continue grooming into Briggs replacement, and you also have Jones developing.
-
Wait until the 2012 grade too. But I think we are good now. The old regime has been shown the door.
-
Exactly, just another dart that may or may not stick. Investing because he may have more to offer than any of the other 3 guys behind cutty.
-
What it says, is something is possibly wrong with Jordan Palmer. Fales and Johnson took the 2nd team snaps at OTA's. Also, Palmer only has like 12 completions were Claussen has 157, so NFL game experience is also a factor.
-
Definately a good guy. Our DB depth is forming nicely, and I can see another CB taken early next draft. If Fuller is as good as deemed, our CB line looks good.
-
Also, Bostic playing SAM with 1st team and McClellin paying Mike with second team recently. Tim Jennings still working at Nickle and looks good against the run. Frey rotated with Fuller at #2 CB and Hayden took Tillmans place since he was absent.
-
Sounds like the D line gained some insight. "Stephen Paea coming out & saying he's learned more in 3 weeks than his whole NFL career should speak volumes about this new coaching staff" Also seen Brock Vereen got first team reps at FS and looked good. Conte better be paying attention.

Remember all the noise when Cutler was signed and how the Bears were crazy to give him that kind of money? Well, looks like the deal will fall in line or look great as other QBs contracts renew. Kaepernick signs 6 year 126 million, Cutler 7 year 126.7. Kaepernick guaranted 60 of it; Cutler 54 million. Just wait to see what Cincy does with Dalton and then Seattle with Wilson. Our front office is right there with understanding contracts, glad we are out of the tunnel and finally looking up as a team again.

How about we move on and give this site some better Bears input? Realize that what you write is etched in stone, so give the WWW your best. Debate all you want and keep it friendly. Personal attacks and vulgar languange were not allowed on here before. This used to be moderated closely, and I think since this has been a classy forum, leniency was given. All I know is some great posters have moved on. I would like to see them back and see new additions. Peace

Being a 7 time perennial probowler and probably the Bears best OLB in there glorified LBer history. He has been nothing but persistant at holding down that posisition. As for a play calling leader, he may not be. But as a leader the players can rally behind, watch, and listen too, he is definately a leader. If he comes back healthy, there's no reason that he cannot play at the probowl level. Trading him for potential is for a team in rebuild, but with the moves Emery made, we are not there. Today I don't see the point on trading one of your better players.
