Training camp thread
. Kyler really didnt want to play football. It was out there somewhere. He is going to milk any injury and collect the last dollar until its figured out.

Who is going to be the biggest surprise.?
Monongai gets 1000 rushing, Burden breaks 1000 receiving, and Booker gets 15 sacks and silences the critics who dissed the Bears for drafting Caleb more weapons.

Bears Rookie Class
All DTs are FAs after this season except Jarrett and Gallimore...and the draft pick. The d-line will getting more attention next season and I hope it gets done right as Poles has seemed to do when he is in that position (oline, dbs..)

Bears Rookie Class
I think Super Bowl has to be the plan here on out. I think we are 2 defensive players away on the line. One DE and DT, that I think can be added in the next draft. Knowing BJ will have a voice, I see a top tier RB too.

Bears Rookie Class
I can agree with this assessment and will add the RB room will be nothing to write off either. Monagai might take the reins this season or split with Swift and with our line be a top unit. Their success will be if the game slows down for Caleb (it should) and the receivers can make more catches. Not that Caleb was bad, he may have went through progressions quick, and took the sideline option to throw the ball away too often. If he trusts his WRs, he may make some tight throws which could increase his ints.

Bears Rookie Class
Glad they are all signed and only 2 weeks until they report. I'm excited with this class. I think we should call out our picks to click before camp. We know Dillion will start, but after him they have to win time.

Bears Rookie Class
Mason Murphy, OT/OG Auburn. 6-5", 315. Versatile depth piece for future. If he makes the team, chances are Kiran gets cut.

Bears Rookie Class
There are only so many chips you can gamble with and we will find out if they played them right or not. The Bears only absolute need was S, and that was addressed with a 1st round and FA. Other positions needed upgrades, we will see if FAs and coaching can improve those.

Bears Rookie Class
It is the silence before the storm. This team still has deficiencies especially on edge, but I think the guys they added inside will help improve the front overall. The plus is the next draft has some better talent in that department that fit our profile type. If the Bears are pushing super, imagine the future with this young core and the players they can add. The league will steal their staff and copy their process.

Bears Rookie Class
The 2026 Bears rookie class could be one of their best as a whole. They added levels of talent to both offense and defense. There is a good chance this class along with some UDFAs contribute early and become playmakers on a team loaded with young talent. Thieneman has elite athleticism and instincts. He will be a playmaker especially paired with Bryant. Add Muhammad who will compete with Stevenson or maybe play NB if Gordon misses time. They are lining him both inside and out in OTAs. Van Den Berg and Elliott might see time in rotations, but have more competition to fight thru to find opportunities, but should find roles. On offense, we have one of the best minds in the league. His choices of players from the 2025 draft seem genius. I think he sees this crops potential as well. Logan Jones may not start, but should become a top tier Center. Sam Rousch, this kid is big, athletic, smart, and driven. He will turn into another fan favorite and become a scary dual with Loveland. Zavion Thomas has special speed that will be used on ST and all over on offense. Ben Johnson will find ways to implement them. It is going to get real exciting in a couple of weeks when camp opens. Attention to Caleb's accuracy, Burden and Odunze stepping up for DJ, Braxton at LT, the re-tooled D-Line, Jalen and Kylers comeback, new Safeties, gives a lot to watch and discuss. It won't be long, cheers my friends!

I see the link from X doesnt work but it has him moving pretty good. The sooner he is back the better, we need to get a player established at LT. I am hopeful Braxton, Kiran, or Willis can hold it down and make a name for themselves because we need to get a great start for the line and Caleb.

Ozzy Trapilo working on his strength. No braces on the knee. Good chance he can be activated mid season. https://x.com/i/status/207309857460166

QB Comparison 2024-2025
Shows you how bad our evaluators were over 40 years. Coach, QB and Oline is what it takes.

QB Comparison 2024-2025
I think those numbers will be his baseline from here on out. He would have had that if you eliminated drops, penalties, or miscommunication. We might have a top 5 this year and top 2 next as he and BJ learn.
-
Logan Jones
It is exciting that we have a talented prospect to build the line around. I'd be happy if we continue with adding a guard that can learn a year under Thuney/Jackson. Of course if we get a shot at a top prospect LT, that would be the cherry on top, but those are slim opportunities.

Schedule Release
Seen on X that Micah Parson is expected to be out half the season. We will see him game 2 for sure, and looking like he will be IR game 1.
-
Camp Notes
His game opportunities might not be great being behind odunze, burden, and Thomas and 12/13 personal, but he needs to show he can step in without missing a beat
-
Camp Notes
Camp bodies is basically what it is. Walker is WR #4 until he is passed by a udfa or vet.
-
Camp Notes
He cannot get off the snap or stop the run. I hope he over comes that, but hasnt yet going into year 4. If they can get a 3rd or 4th, that would be a blessing.
-
Camp Notes
He has 5 or 6 weeks to get himself ready. He needs to be in camp otherwise the Bears may be forced to add another player. You can figure only 10 maybe 11 d-linemen make the 53. If Turner returns healthy, could the Bears trade Dexter since Dayo and Turner can slide inside on 3rd downs? Sweat, Dayo, Booker, Turner, Daniel Hardy. Jarrett, Dexter, Gallimore, Lynch, Street, Van Den Berg.
-
Camp Notes
Last year they had no expectations started at 0, level 1... This year they come in and start at level 5 or 6 because they understand concepts, effert expectations etc. This will translate to them being a better team early on offensively and defensively.
-
Camp Notes
It sure would be nice to see him be a viable option. He had all the measurables for LT but needed additional strength. If he can overcome the injuries and take the coaching up, it would be a bonus since we probably will not have a shot at drafting a great prospect anytime soon.

Bears To Indiana? If They Go, Eat $h!t and CHOKE On it
I was lost too. Warren seems to be a yes sir type. Every clip Ive seen of him has been of him being that. To be honest, he seems to be worthless, unless he told the McCaskeys its Ben Johnson or bust.

Its 20 miles from soldier field, still Chicagoland. Indiana doesn't have the crooked politicians and unions trying to squeeze more into their pockets than what is reasonable. Bearville sounds like a great venue for the Bears! For me its good food tailgating before and then sometimes finding dinner on the way home.

Looks like the board decided on Hammond. We have a decision and can move on. Now lets see this state of art stadium.
