  1. Justin Fields, it was a nice thought but you are Nota QB. Maybe they keep you as a RB.
  2. I will be curious to see how Nate Davis performs. I hope he balls out and shows he don't need "practice" - Alan Iverson
  3. I did draft Herbert in a FF keeper league as my 4th RB. I wanted to get Roschon a little deeper, but he was swiped before I could make that pick. I still want to see Roschon win the role and more so now with the jersey change, 23 is magical here.
  4. Wow, bold move to make the change but I like it. 23 in this town comes with some weight so I hope he can carry it. I believe he will. I posted a while ago that he will take the reins come week 4, don't let me down.
  5. They found a way to beat the world champs. KCs WRs have all speed and no hands. Hope Poles can shake this pattern that he brought with(Velus and Scott). Not saying they have major issues yet, but the signs are pointing.
  6. I heard the Bears signed another G/C to the practice- Matt Farniok formerly with Dallas
  7. I think 7 wins is safe. Remember the Bears normally play 12 on 11 and were in most games regardless of being outnumbered.
  8. I remember the Arizona Denny Green game, Urlacher took over and the entire D followed. Lewis may have did so more often, but Brian played more so to his responsibility which was taking the center of the field out.
  9. If Whitehairs hand recovers, he might get the nod back at C. If Feeney is better at C as some predict, then he might play there. My thinking is he is the insurance policy for C/G for injuries. Once everyone is healthy, they have to decide who goes. Patrick has to play well imo.
  10. Record - 10 - 7 = all depends on game 1 MVP - Fields = if he can read and hit his targets the accolades will come OPOY - Moore was brought in to elevate the QB DPOY - Kyler Gordan leads team in INTs. The improved DL inside pressure helps ROY - Stevenson - he will get more targets and will end up taking some away. The Bears DBs will be one of the leagues best units Comeback -Claypool, have to follow again. Who else? Johnson or Jackson, but they really were not bad. Claypool came in lost and should be able to know his jib and execute.
  11. My early on favorite has been DE Trice for the draft. Greg seems to agree.
  12. If he doesn't have that understanding, they would cut him or will very soon. Year 1 is a benefit, year 2 will be an easy decision if he just don't grasp his duties
  13. I still have hopes Velus becomes our Deebo. I hope Getsy can get him playing time and run a few plays for him on jet sweeps, bubble screens, or a deep ball. The kid lacks that game confidence that only comes by doing it.
  14. Whitehair depends if his snapping hand heals. My gut tells me he has a fractured finger and playing C is out. Playing LG he can club wrap the hand, but banging on other big bodies might hurt the healing process. Typical healing time is 4-6 weeks, so it might be healed by the opener. Feeney and Patrick IMO are week 1 options at C. Patrick knows the system, so he should start and Feeney is the backup LG/C. You want Feeney to be ready in case either Whitehair or Patrick go down. That is safer than Patrick going in if Whitehair gets hurt. By week 4, you get Jenkins back and the Bears should know who to keep by then between Patrick/Feeney.
  15. Jenkins and Kramer to the IR as I expected.
  16. Kareem is more complete at DE in their eyes. Lewis and Gibson would be a pass rush specialist. That tells me come draft, look for bigger DEs that play the run well and set the edge. The sacks will come with greater inside pressure. As for Velus, the Bears are giving him this season to make or break. Ego might be in play and that is fine. They see something in his ability and we have seen a few glimpses even though his Punt Return ability lacks.
  17. I am thinking they move guys today to IR if we add anyone that was waived.
  18. The Bears have been running Dexter and Pickens at 3T at the same time. This makes the oline have to choose which one to double. I recall hearing the Bears have also lined them up outside, so maybe they get occasional snaps outside in jumbo packages. They also wanted Justin Jones to get snaps at DE last season at the end of the year. I think the d line will be flexible with many looks
  19. From reports I've heard, Whitehairs right hand will be an issue and he won't be snapping with it for a while if it heals My guess is Jenkins goes to IR and sits 4 games too. Kramers snapping right hand was wrapped after leaving the game, so he might go to IR too. Last year Patrick broke his right hand, he is almost ready to go now, so Center is Patrick or Feeny as of now. My question is what are they teaching the Centers to do to jeopardize their snapping hand?
  20. Danny Shelton DT KC- oops ? Not sure how I came up with Sheldon Rankins. QB Bailey Zappe might be another dinner to tinker.
  21. Tomorrow the waiver wire is ours to cherry pick. Any players you like or thoughts? Couple of names I seen. Colt McCoy QB - vet QB for Fields? Sheldon Rankins 3T Desmond King CB
  22. I think he is here to start at Center. Whitehair's snap hand is injured. Kramer left Saturdays game hurt and Patrick hasn't been completely healthy.
  23. I read Miami is trying to clear cap for RB Jonathan Taylor too.
  24. Cut them early so they can find a new team. Buffalo exposed how far we are. I can see the team being competitive but they are still not there. I hope Fields can do it, but he scares me. Get our oline healthy and show us.
  25. As the cut down begins, remember we are first in line on the waiver. The Bears could find a couple gems.
