On Twitter, many say JF cannot play in the 4th. I believe the coaches are handcuffing him by playing conservative to protect the lead or not risk a turnover. That has lead the Bears to 4 wins as of late. It has also brought a couple losses that we should have won. I still think by signing Fields to a 5th year option gives the Bears a vet QB and time to draft and develop another QB without disrupting the continuity this team is building. It might mean missing on Williams, but Williams has dropped hints he doesn't want to play here and what good does that do by drafting him. Sell that pick to the highest bid and take a QB down the board that would be happy to be Bear.

A WR1/2 would make a huge difference. Claypool was supposed to be that guy but he checked out of football a long time ago. I would be good drafting MHJ #1 or trading that to LVR for WR Adam's and 2 1sts. The slots we fall to wouldn't be as exciting but it reloads the Bears with more bullets for the future.

Then let players leave in FA and get picks from compensation, the pipeline could be endless. The Bears just need a QB that can win and we haven't seen it yet.

It is nice to see Mahomes and the Chiefs struggle for once. The league is hard to stay great and a team is more than a QB. I love the idea of making our #1 turn into a 2025 and 2026 first to keep the blood pumping for as many years as you can. We know Williams doesn't want to come here which makes a trade out acceptable and the Bears can still find a way with draft picks to get a QB.

Did coaches clean details up? Poles is watching and that cute 3rd and 1 wildcat was not clean. That might be more on Getsy but still has to be cleared by Flus.

Heck yeah, that was a huge kick.

I think the Bears can move down if they can see past Williams. I would love for Maye to blow up the offseason to keep him in the top 2 names so Daniels, McCarthy can be taken at 5 to 12 and even Penix 15 or after. Nix will sneak into rd 1 too for the 5th year option.

I think this is going to be a preview of the Superbowl.

That is something he needs to overcome with trust in the line. He knows he can bail, so it isn't coming easy for him. The sad part is the Bears did little years 1 and 2 for him and he had to rely on his legs. This year you can see he is trying to stay in the pocket but still feels the pressure as his first reaction is to bail. Watch his reaction as he shrinks and loses downfield vision when the pocket starts to shrink. His inability to release on 1st or 2nd reads is also an issue after the scripted plays are through. I think it goes back to him only trusting his legs which if he doesn't overcome will be his exit. I would love to see him with MHJ a good Center and see if he can become something in the league, here or elsewhere.

QBs: Purdy, Lawrence, Richardson, Stroud, Stafford, Smith, Willis, Murray, Howell, Williams/Maye/Daniels, and Young. The Bears could potentially trade down with NE, ARZ, or WAS and can help insure the have a bad record by giving them a loss.

Undoubtedly he would. I think they have started to put pieces together, but it requires yearly investments to keep it running at a top level. Like dirt track racing, you have a limited budget because it is more of a hobby, but if you keep putting in high end parts with a new or vet driver, you at least have a car capable of winning. A young driver will make mistakes and might wreck, but put in a vet like Jeff Gordan and that car wins almost every race. Jeff Gordan in a run down car with bald tires might keep the car in the middle, but that is by driving the car within its limits.
