  1. He also didn't get along so well with Brady. I would say he uses tough love to bring the respect and excellence put of his field generals. If he is buddy buddy, that allows slack.
  2. Thomas Brown most likely leaves next season as is. Making him HC gives you first hand sight at his ability to HC. That may take a little focus off Caleb but he will still call plays but on the sideline. As for Bellichick, bring him in a get his insight. Hire him if he seems good, even if for 3 to 5 years. He is one of the greatest of all time. I'll take a few years if that.
  3. Flip the order I originally put. I was naming them in order right to left not thinking how it looked on paper. Besides Jenkins big injury year, has he really missed as much time as the others? Shelton has been the only constant this year and the rest have missed games. At this point Kiran has been a waste and he won't develop until next season if they even try to get him developed. I would draft OLT with the first. Maybe try to trade Braxton Jones, if not let him walk after next season and Kiran can become a swing. B Jones/ Banks LT, rookie LG, Shelton/Majors C, Jenkins RG, Wright RT.
  4. Do you think the mckaskeys were going to let Warren and Poles fire the coach. Have the Bears ever done it? I think it goes hirer up. I like more of what Poles has done with the little resources he has had than the the previous gms since Angelo. Angelo started to sour once Lovie got more power in that dual. I do think Cunningham is more than Poles and would be fine letting flus and poles both go. The Bears have 3-4 years to win a superbowl and now next year will be about learning the new system, so time is closing fast
  5. Yep, someone was in his ear and it will be broadcasted next week on impractical jokers
  6. The thing with Poles is did he really pick Eberflus or was that who they interviewed before he was hired and he was encouraged. That has been the Bears issue on how they go about things. I am 50/50 on Poles. He found gems and a few turds. Warren needs to see what his future thoughts are. They have to have a short list of coaches, Poles gas covered bases better than most gms and I feel Eberflus is let go tomorrow and the reins given to Brown or Hoke. Great time to get a look at Brown even if he has little time to keep the offense flowing and controlling the team.
  7. I looked at oline prospects briefly tonight, they need Texas guys. It's early in the process, but get these guys 1 and 2. Kevin Banks OLT Texas Jake Majors C Texas or Bryce Foster C Kansas - bruce feldman freak - my second choice for C. Get another stud G in rd 2 or 3. I would give Jenkins a 2 year extension. Buy time and keep a little continuity. Wright, Jenkins, Shelton/Majors, Rookie, Jones/Banks.
  8. Yes, Trestman completely lost the locker room and the performance was obvious the players did not even try. At least these players care and still try.
  9. They have the keys to a Lamborghini, they need a secured garage to park that in, not a gravel driveway. If they want a fancy 4WD truck (DE/DT) to park in the driveway with it, they deserve to watch that car ruin in short time. As mentioned, good oline do not hit FA. Build your brick and motor needs with long term draft cap. Once solid it's cheaper to upkeep.
  10. Rd1 pick 5 - Kevin Banks OLT Texas or Mason Graham DT Mich I say get a future long term LT. You have to put all eggs into protecting the franchise QB. A havoc wrecking DT doesn't matter if your QB is on his back. Rd2a - DE/DT Rd2b- OG/C - they need a G and C,best to double dip here and the 3rd Rd3 - OG/C Rd4 - S - depends on Brisker and Byard, but they will need to dip into FA again and draft one. Rd5 and after - find diamonds - wr, te
  11. All neck to neck, this might come down to the only stat that really matters, Wins.
  12. The look on his face at the end shows how lost he is. He just is not knowledgeable enough to be a HC. Timeouts, challenges, going for it on some 4ths are all weaknesses that cost games. The players are close but even if they had the best at every position, Flus would be the handicap.
  13. Looked like Rome got held up on that play too. They wouldn't call that though because the last PI was questionable. It is completely on the HC. He needs to know the game and he doesn't. He can go be a DC or motivational speaker now.
  14. Don't speak too soon.. blocked fg is on my bingo card.
  15. Come on New York, blow the whistle for 12 men on the field. Detroit gets the officials helping almost every play.
  16. Caleb is a series away for getting the turducken trophy. If the defense gets the stop, watch out.
  17. I thought the hit on Caleb was a season ending one. He got up and the next play his tempo was intensified as he threw a laser to Allen. Seeing your QB get hit like that angered me. If Goff gets in the open field, payback is expected.
  18. Football is a game of inches or seconds. The Bears are close but just a little short. Caleb throws a second earlier to DJ and they could've got some momentum to match punches.
  19. The New Flus Muppet show. Staring the chicago bears "Get fired up Dragon Slayer. Ready Spider-Man. Ready to hit Sandman and Hitman, I know the Predator is hungry. Dino Dex, my man. Hey Bae, luv ya man, but we luv One too" "I told the locker room that at least we have each other, that is all we need."
  20. Now look at the DVOA for the Bears D. I believe they are around 19. Watch Eberflus fire his DC for that to try save his job. Thinking about it now, Washington was supposed to be a d line guru. Have we seen any improvements along the dline? Sweat, Dexter, Pickens, Booker, not one has elevated. Billings was rock solid and sorely missed.
  21. They are so close yet so far away. I am not sure if the personal we have will even fit a new regimes vision if Kevin Warren decides to keep it or tear it apart. To be honest, our 2025 draft class should be rich but the talent is not that strong this year and rookies normally do not make that big of a difference year 1.
  22. So many needs to build this team up. Caleb needs a speedster with hands to replace Allen. 2 or 3 or even 4 stud oline. 3T, Safety, CB has to be considered since Stevenson lost the juice.
  23. I am only for Brown if he makes the offense like we thought preseason on paper. If they do start exploding on offense, then blow the coaching staff up. I think Brown can help so it's a slim chance. Otherwise, I want to see a proven guy. Kingsbury is nagy 2.0 in my opinion. If he can't get the offense going, he loses the veteran Def 4 or 5 games in.
  24. Espn did a special on Thomas, that kid has drive and is smart. He will be a top wr for years.
  25. Add that his oline has been basically decimated with injuries too. The Bears do not have enough resources to fix that with needing a 3T, DE, S and WR too.
