Thanks for putting that together. I knew that Jay had zero turnovers and generally looked pretty good but didn't feel like saying anything because everyone crushing him. But the one thing that stood out to me during the preseason was the playcalling itself. We've all been crying to see bootlegs ever since we traded for Jay and we finally saw it. Some pretty good short and intermediate crossing routes as well. It seemed to put players in a better spot to succeed. Of course 1 glaring hole was the lack of receivers which hopefully we get alshon and co back to start the yr. Will this continue into the regular season? I sure hope so.

I'm just shocked at all the ppl defending clausen after this game. Truly shocked. If Cutler had the same exact game everyone would be pointing out the facts that we got helped by Detroit being dumb otherwise we get shut out. Instead ppl are looking at clausen as a possible starter? What world am I living in where everyone just rips Cutler to shreds regardless of what happens. The guy literally has to have an absolutely perfect game just to get 1 person to say he's good. While clausen has this kind of game and ppl thinks he's good. I'm mean seriously. Come on. I'm not sitting here claiming that either should be here. Just pointing out what I have seen. Serious question why in the world would any QB want to come and play in Chicago. This is how we have treated every starting QB for 20 yrs that I can think of. I know I wouldn't.

Amazing that ppl want to start clausen next yr now. Do I dare say that if it wasn't for 2 special teams blunders that Detroit made we get shut out. And it's not like clausen had a great day at all. He was OK. but that's as far you can really take it. I like Clausen as a back up. Being an Irish fan I liked him then. Though in college he was frustrating at times.

yeah. Can't ignore the play. But why haven't others been benched for poor play. God only knows there's at least a dozen players who should be benched. In my opinion Cutler is being the scapegoat here and trestman is going to attempt to save his job by going to someone who has done Jack since his college days and even in college his days were either good or horribly bad. Being a ND fan I saw those games lol.

Not saying that Cutler deserves the C. Cutler has nothing to do with this argument. But not a single player on that team is a captain. So your saying we don't have a single player that deserves the C. Not even tilman. Or forte. Has a team ever gone into the season with no captains at all. I can't recall but I'm guessing no. Therefore no leadership in the locker room and it's being proven out there on the field. I want the young players to look up to the captain's as they lead the team. Oh wait. There is so much blame to go around. There isn't 1 person to blame more than probably the coaches. In regards to Jay. He wasn't a leader prior to us trading him and has never been a leader here. Now for starters that's not who he is. Not everyone can be a leader. Some don't have the desire to be that guy. Problem is is that the team tries to force it upon him when it clearly isn't what's best. You can't just force leadership upon players. And please don't tell me that because he's the QB therefore he has to be that guy. That's bullshit. Sure I wish Jay was a leader and would get up in people's faces and smack them around but that's not him. Bigger problem this yr is go back to beginning of yr and trestman didn't name any captains and how we all thought that was awful curious. That looks like an awful decision now

It wasn't meant as an excuse or anything like that. Not meant to "get your vote". I was only pointing out facts based on real life experience of what I go thru. Even with pumps are drs visits all the time and being very careful with your day to day activities it's still tough. So many things can affect your levels that most don't know. I didn't know either nor would I believe anyone til it happened to me. Just sitting at work. Minding my own business not even talking to anyone. Sorry if you think I'm defending Jay because I most certainly don't intend to. Ask any of my friends. I stopped defending Jay before mid season. Now I want him gone also. I want heads to roll. My only question is how far do we want to take it.

Out of all the ppl to go on the record I've only seen 1 person stick up for Cutler for whatever it's worth. Only Tillman. In contrast how many ppl have stuck up for what kromer did. Tells a Heck of a story

it's something that is tough. You can do everything right and feel great and within 10 mins you can start feeling like shit. It happened to me at work once. It came on so fast I had no idea and could barely function. It's definitely a concern. My dad does everything right. Never indulges on those tempting treats and if things don't get better he may be forced into retiring. It really is a bitch to deal with. It's not an excuse. Just pointing out facts
