The sky is not falling
The old Cutler that pissed all of us off in the past was when he made that mistake typically he was unable to come out of it and everything went down the drain. Like most here I'd like to see consistency from our starters. However in 2nd game we don't know if he would have brought us back and redeem himself for the int that was thrown. Most agree that Jay isn't the future any more. He needs a change of scenery and we are unwilling to see him any more. The question going forward is how do we get that franchise guy all of us have been wanting for our entire lives here. And even worse the college game isn't spitting those guys out for the most part. In most cases the college guys come in and they are unable to make reads which is mind boggling to me but it is what it is.

By far and away worst team in NFL....
Good point. Like my dad has said on many occasions(who's a packers fan and is not of fan of Jay at all). "Jay isn't great but he's not horrible either. You can with him but he's not going to do it by himself"

That's a good point. And I remember quite a few last yr as well if I'm not mistaken

How do you turn this team around?
Anyone want to go back and listen to what mccown had to say. There was nights Jay went mccown's house to help him study and learn things. Forgot that's not mentoring is it. If we don't see him happy go lucky and helping on every single play on the side lines the dude gets absolutely crushed. Why is it. You know what. Why should he care anymore. If I was treated as bad as we th fans and even worse the media I would have asked to be traded a long time ago. It's ridiculous how badly he's treated here. I start to wonder what crime did he committ to piss everyone off so much. So he hasn't lived up to expectations. By now we should be use to QBs not living up to expectations. He's pouty on the sidelines and vets in teammates faces. So does every QB in the league. I've seen Rodgers get in the opposing HC's face and no one bats an eye. But if Cutler doesn't smile he's the devil. That's my rant for the day. And I'm not a huge supporter of his anymore. I guess I'm to old and dumb to understand why such hatred. I hate him for 2 reasons. He's making big time $ and check out his wife. but that's more jealousy. I admit

How do you turn this team around?
I love the idea of drafting a qb high as a successor to Jay. You are right about Jay. I think he's owed just $5M gtd from when he restructured so we could grab Allen but after 2016 he can be cut with no cap hit. Also regardless of what we think about Jay his teammates love him and Jay knows the game so he could help teach and mentor a draft pick. Not these 6th and 7th rd guys that pretty much have no shot. Draft someone high who has big time talent. I really think that's the problem in today's nfl. QBs ste basically just thrown to the wolves.

With the first pick...
We see players like that every where. Clay Matthews comes to my mind. I think his pedigree played a huge part in it as well

Allen confident Bears will rebound
I just heard that we lead the league avg 4.9 yds per carry. So the fact that gase ignored running the ball when Jay was at QB compared to Jimmy is really disheartening. Shouldn't the coaches try to call the best plays with chances of succeeding over calling a play just to boost a players confidence level. And I even like the coaches but I know this sounds like I'm crushing the staff

How do you turn this team around?
My philosophy is BPA. How does that work. We have questions marks all over the field except Kicker, RB and currently RT. I've never been a fan of limiting it to a single position. Especially in the 1st rd.

Allen confident Bears will rebound
Obviously I am to dumb to get your point. Give me Cutler every day of the week. He can at least get us into the red zone. But to answer your question directly it's play calling. When we get into the red zone regardless of qb shouldn't we try to run the ball? We attempted to do that with Jimmy In there but with Jay in there not so much. So I guess my question now is why is that. We were all screaming when we had 1st and goal at the 2 and gase called 3 straight passes.

When was this I thought I saw this morning Goff was #1

Allen confident Bears will rebound
Seriously. That's your argument. Lol. Really wanna debate who gives us better chance at putting up points? Cutler has had a history of success and failure or clausen who has the history of nothing but failure. Hmmm. I know my choice
-
Allen confident Bears will rebound
Yeah it'd brutal but we all knew when the schedule came out there was a good possibility of starting 0-3
-
Allen confident Bears will rebound
Exactly we went from competitive with Jay in there to looking like 1 of the worst teams in league when he left. Sad but totally true

By far and away worst team in NFL....
Honestly does it really matter who's fault it was. It's not Wed and we are nitpicking the only blemish on Jay that he had on the day instead of what happened afterwards. Like 2 of the 1st drives clausen was given the ball inside the red zone and we failed both times to punch it in. That to me is the bigger issue. If we punch it in both times what then becomes of the game? To me that was the ultimate turning point

Allen confident Bears will rebound
Well considering one of our biggest problems is the penalties and penalties are indeed correctable. The problem is that this has been going on for several years and it's the same players making the same mistakes

How do you turn this team around?
If bosa plays DE in a 4-3 why are ppl clamoring for him here. I'm just asking. I don't know anything about him. But if he doesn't fit a 3-4 scheme I want nothing to do with him. We don't need to draft ppl who wouldn't fit obviously
-
With the first pick...
Being a fan of this team I've come to realize it won't matter who our #1 QB is. We will hate them lol. Sad but it's so true. Majority ppl hate our starter and love our back up
-
With the first pick...
Problem is "off field issues". That is the quickest way to throw your career straight into the toilet. It's fantastic to be compared to jj watt but if the person isn't available on Sundays it doesn't matter who he is compared to. That's my biggest fear. We all see it all the time. Not saying I'd immediately dismiss him but it certainly would be a red flag

Cutler out at least 2 weeks
I'm just saying let's not purposely throw the season. Which is exactly what we would be doing if we didn't play Jay the rest of the season. Now if we try hard to win games by putting our best players out there and we still end up with that worst record then so be it. I absolutely hate intentionally throwing games by sitting best players unless playoffs are locked up or we are mathematically eliminated
-
With the first pick...
Didn't someone say bosa has off field issues? If that's true I don't want him if we are talking a top pick.
-
Cutler out at least 2 weeks
No obviously not but how do you overlook the fact we haven't drafted a qb who was a Franchise qb for us since Sid luckman. There's bad luck and then there is us when it comes to qb's. Everyone wants to think it's so easy to find them yet we can't find 1 in more than 70 yrs

What is going on here?
It's also been said several places that if ed donatello can't get fuller to play then there is no hope for him. Donatello's track record speaks for itself

How do you turn this team around?
For once Jason and I agree. Kinda scary

By far and away worst team in NFL....
This past week the guys for college football were starting to come down on nkemdiche as well

Cutler out at least 2 weeks
Franchise qb? With our history at drafting qb's? I just don't feel very good about that
