Wow. Did anybody catch the emery chat today. He talked about SMC and says its clear we get much better production with him on the field and says he's a player that transcends schemes. I'm confused. Would really like to see some stats back that claim up but my eyes tell me a different stoey

Exactly. This is why I made it a point to show that cutler though he has is flaws was avg 28+ a game. Where josh has avg 22. And if I'm not mistaken at the end of the day it's about scoring more than your opponent. Don't get me wrong defense is the problem. Last yr Josh and his 22 a game would have been good enough on most nights but this yr we can't expect to win much with just 22

With all that said I'm sticking defense heavy and early.

Mccarron ain't going 3rd rd. I'm hearing some chatter that he's in the conversation as #1 QB taken in this years draft. I love mccarron. He can make all the throws. Can spin it very nicely. I've seen a lot of his games and I get more impressed with him every game. And he's a kid that just gets it. Nothing is to big for him. Don't think he's a pro bowler at all but very nice qb to have I think. Obviously all this is my opinion

Yeah. Cant blame a gm if team losses half its starters on 1 side of the ball to injuries. That's just horrible luck. His past says he can evaluate the talent just fine but question is can he draft it when he's the man. I think he can. When he 1st took job he had to revamp the offense that had no real weapons outside of knox(injured) and forte. And defense had plenty of weapons except at safety. Now the offense is loaded and defense is old. If he can revamp it just as quick everyone will be signing his praises and not just local people

I agree with going almost entirely D in the draft. Question is how much should we offer Melton. I think Ratliff could be had fairly cheaply on a 1 yr deal

Problem is the D is getting old even the original starters. And most players on last yr of deal. I want Melton back but at what cost? Peppers is probably gone at years end so who steps in for him. Obviously if we are going to keep this same system we have to have a consistent push fromtthe front 4 in order for it to work. A ton questions lie ahead and emery will be very very busy this off season for sure

I'm not mad on josh. How can I be. I'm sick of all those ppl claiming we should cut Jay and give big bucks to josh. In the end I want the qb who can put the most points on the board. And so far its been jay. Its just facts. Sure mccown so far has made less mistakes but he also doesn't take many chances either. Once again just facts. And honestly I'm not sure jay is best long term answer either. Just think that if both were healthy give me cutler

I agree. He's reworked that offense real quick. But he will be put to test with that D and he will have plenty of $$ to help in FA. Hopefully he can hit it big

If that happens I'll need to take a few days off work as I would be hung over. I wish jay coming back would cure all ills but that defense is just enough to make me drink if I was home. It might actually be best to at least miss playoffs to get better pick and see what Emery can do with all ygst $$ to make defense at least competitive

Yeah and if jay did same exact thing y'all would be absolutely crushing him. Amazing that jay this yr was averaging 28+ pts per game and that's completely ignored while josh has averaged 22+ pts per game and he's being praised as a saint and guy can do no wrong. Anybody realize we had 480 yds offense. Yet only 20 pts and only 1 trip to the red zone. Which of course we failed. I like josh. AS A BACKUP

At this point when we have a short yardage of 1 yd on any down anywhere on field the defense should just fully expect a run up the middle regardless of who the back is. We need to be a little more creative than that. The whole world knows exactly what we are doing now in those situations
