We have to take advantage when defense steps up

I think today we will finally see that streak of 100 yd rushrs come to an end. I think this could be a low scoring game as we are looking at a game in snow. The key for me is to establish that running game right away to help jay get into a rhythm early

Excellent point about trestman. In my book he's earned major brownie points. In 1 off season we go from 1 of the offenses and offensive line to the offense we see now that can win shootouts, the oline though not great has been very good in opening up running lanes and although pass blocking isn't where we would like it I think its easy to see the major improvements made where josh/jay aren't getting hit every down. So because trestman has earned it I'm completely behind his decisions for right now

Exactly. We need those top picks to revamp the defense. If we let jay walk it would take away a potential playmaker on D all the while your hoping that trestman truly can plug any qb in and win

Cutler can't run this system effectively. He was a top 10 qb in the league when he went down and that includes the lions and skins. Do where in the world are you getting that from. Don't listen to the media who wants us to believe that jay is downright bad and has sucked all yr because itssimply not true . Keeping both is our best option.

For Josh I think he could be had a roughly $2M deal avg so go 2 yrs and $4M. I'm saying this based on the reports that Marc, Josh, and Jay are extremely close. Also heard that Josh absolutely loves it here in Chicago. Maybe because us fans love him.

Excellent post but only 1 gripe. our #2 receiver is Alshon JEFFREY. NOT JEFFRIES. its singular not plural. I know all media people are starting to finally come around now that Jeffrey has showed that he is a complete and utter beast. like i said small gripe but excellent post. Exactly. Adam scheinn did an article for NFLN and all the execs that he talked to said we can't allow jay to walk. Ppl will be beating down his door

I see a 4 to 5 yr deal. I'm with emery that I don't like using the tag. Especially at that position but I can't see us letting cutler walk considering all the holes we have on defense. We have a top 15. A lot of execs say top 10 QB. Hard to let him walk when he's still I'm his prime yrs

Your right. Obviously need to go best value. I would prefer a DL guy bug if a run happens there (and realistically that could easily happen) then I agree with going HHCD. Overall I want a playmaker in the 1st that can contribute immediately

1st rd I go BPA at DT/DE then look at safety and CB in 2nd rd. Of course this is if we can resign jay. Otherwise I think we have to QB in rd 1. And I hate that idea with so many holes in the defense

I think your stars are right on with what to expect. Cleveland D is really good but they have struggled on 3rd down EFF I believe I saw and they have struggled when there opponents get into the red zone.

I'm gonna go into hiding if cutler doesn't go for 400 yds 6 scores 0 turnovers and we win by 40. Because you know what the morons out there will say. Mainly talking about national pundits or ppl who just hate on jay to begin with. They all will ignore top 5 defense. Ignore 5+ weeks off and just jump immediately to "see, I told you jay sucks. Josh is the future". Which is why we should all be smarter and judge jay on combination of all 3 games

I agree. I never believe anything from "sources". For all we know it could be some hater of jays as there are a lot out there. I personally want to see how jay does over nxt 3 weeks as a whole. I won't scream he's horrible if he struggles against clev. If he performs well as a whole very easy to see him back however on the flip side if he struggles as a whole then its fair to look at drafting qb early
