  1. Lovie Smith is not choosing offense starters. "Genius" Martz is. Martz is in charge of everything offense, so criticisms should be directed at him.
  2. This. It gets annoying, doesn't it.....
  3. Dude this is Talkbears. Shouldn't be surprised about misinformed bitching at all.
  4. Usually that is the case, but you have to remember now we have a Martz offense. Perhaps that will be a fit for his type of offense.

    Furrey???

    Your thoughts on this
  6. I hear ya. I actually got the info from Windy City Gridiron first. I think as a single source if would be somewhat iffy to use those stats to form conclusions. But used with 2 or 3 other pieces of info, it starts to paint a not so flattering picture. At the end of the day, I'm glad he signed with Arizona cause I got the feeling that it was going to be another Pace situation.
  7. Well, it was more of a whimsical reference than a hardcore, Omiyale is better than Faneca. I agree its an impossible task, but at least it is something to look at. I didn't watch a ton of Jets games to even know how Faneca was doing. If it wasn't for some people on here posting the sack stats and stuff like this guy, I would have assumed Faneca was playing as well as he always played.
  8. I actually found an article in which Faneca graded out worse that Omiyale. Here it is
  9. I hear ya. Every quote and story I hear and read about Wootten and Wright makes like like them more and more. They seem like real leader types so I am pretty pumped about these two guys. Perhaps the defense will get some leadership this year.
  10. The fact that someone thinks that the Bears drafted a frikin seventh rounder to argue with message boarders years later is, frankly, insane.
  11. I hope so. I love the big hits. If he can become a legit starter at free safety then this draft is already a good one.
  12. I just hope he is alot better in coverage then the reports state. If not, we have another SS.

    Dream Scenario

He is what we do, Get Taylor Mays and Major Wright then we will have every safety in the last five years who can hit but not cover a soul. Next we release all the linebackers and CB's so we can start SEVEN strong safeties.........
  14. This is what Roach has done: "Roach started 15 games last season and was fourth on the team with a career-high 82 tackles. As we detailed here, he was especially productive when it came to tackles for his position. The strong-side linebacker comes out during nickel situations and Roach averaged a tackle every 7.41 snaps, second on the roster to only Pro Bowl weak-side linebacker Lance Briggs." Brad Biggs Pretty sure he is a little better than a special teamer and would be in camp with another team if we cut him.
  15. Maybe he is the new starting right tackle....
  16. This is exactly my fear too. People are talking like he will change his offense to fit the personnel (Olsen, Cutler's mobility), but we have never seen that before. I just fear Cutler will get beaten to a pulp.

    Sims

I guess the bigger question is why a "fanatical Seahawk fan" doesn't know the guy started all but two games. lol
  18. Did he say why the coaches told him to let people run fades against him to lose games? Or why they told him to run slow? Maybe he just isn't a starting corner anymore and not worth the cash.
  19. Plus, I dont know how much money they are willing to throw around any more. I think at this point we will be looking for deals not overpaying guys.
  20. Actually, I dont think this is a Lovie move at all as Brown is one of his guys. But being one of Lovie's guy doesn't hold much weight anymore (AP, McKie) This has JA written all over it. I'm fine with it. This is a guy who would make all of his money in two or three games a year getting multiple sacks and disappears in the rest. I'd rather see some young blood in there.
