Briggs is going to practice 3 times this week, and will play if everything is good.

The defense deserves a lot of credit today. They've only let up 1 TD and there was the field goal off the turn over. They also scored a TD, so they made up for even the one score. Good job by Tucker this week.

The INT's haven't been there lately, but in coverage Bowman and Jennings have been doing pretty good with Tillman out, big play there.

I say he can't run the offense effectively, because he doesn't run the offense with in the system. A play is called. Cutler stares down Marshall. Marshall cuts. Cutler throws the ball. A.) An amazing throw is made that fits it into a small window. B.) Defense makes a play, and it's viewed as no one was open. C.) Cutler throws it away. To me that's not working in the system. McCown in the same situation would: First and look off Marshall A.) See if Jeffery is open, then throw it to him B.) Progress past Marshall and Jeffery and see if Bennett is open C.) Dump it off to Forte D.) Throw it away. Running the system to me is being able to work through your progressions. It involves throwing the ball before a player cuts and trusting the WR. Cutler can not do either thing with in the system effectively. He can just play the same football he has played since he joined the NFL.

Ok here is a question, is Alshon Jeffery really not that good due to the defenses he played?

He listed the redskins by rank, but Cutler sucked against that same Redskin defense. He list the Lions, whom Cutler sucked against twice, and McCown lead one drive. I've heard every excuse for why McCown did better than Cutler. The first week, it was teams hadn't seen tape on him to gameplan, even tho McCown hadn't practiced with the team all year. The excuses changed every week, and this week it is defensive rankings. It's as simple as this. Cutler can't run this system effectively and makes costly mistakes. McCown plays better in the system as it takes advantage of what he does well. Cutler doesn't work through progressions, stares down wr's, and panics in the pocket due to years of sacks. McCown, the old less talented QB can do all of these things and the offense works more efficiently. Cutlers arm isn't needed for an offense like this. If arm strength and athletic ability was all that mattered, Vick would be starting over Foles right now and be considered the best QB in the league. A Super Bowl will never be won by the Bears with Cutler at starting QB, especially when the Bears defense isn't good enough to make up for his mistakes.

Other than thinking the article is utter bs, it make me think of a possible conspiracy. Josh McCown just darn near pitched a perfect game. It's possible that Emery and Trestman have seen enough to make a decision to proceed with McCown. Cutler is coming off of weeks of injury. Letting Cutler finish the season let's the Bears build up trade value by showing he is healthy and inserting him into an offense that was clicking on the highest level in the last game. I'm not saying a tag and trade is happening, but if it does Emery could be an evil genius by this move. More than likely, they just see Jay as their QB this year and the decision on Jay will be made in the off season.

Same here. I drafed Newton because he played the saints this week and in the chamionshi in my money league. I stole Marshall in a trade, picked mccown, and drafted forte in the second round. I needed forty oints tonight and i got 80 from them

Well last years bearstalk league chamion has to bow out to you, but after starteing 0-6, going 6-1 to get in the play offs, atleast McCown made it interesting with his 51 points. Lol, well I will have a 2 to 3 weeks after my league is over to get that taste out of my mouth. I'll be up against him next week in my local league's semi finals.

I have no doubt that McCown can win in a shoot out. I don't think Trestman will allow him to play that way tho. I'm 50/50 on who will win, I'll go with the Bears since I am a fan. Tillman being injured will hurt against Bryant. TE's kill the Bears and Dallas has one of the Best in the league. Murray has had a solid year and should thrive the way the Bears are allowing yards to running backs. That said, Dallas's D has been horrid this year too. Trestman's offense should feast against a cover 2 D. Marshall and Jeffery are the best wr duo in the league. Forte is the most complete running back in the league. It should be an exciting game if the temperature isn't a factor. It's definitely a game that Cutler could have looked good in if he had played. He's practiced against a more talented version of their d for years. Edit: And i forgot about the Black Unicorn. McCown will ride the Black Unicorn to victory!!
