"Imply" Only everyone I know would agree with you.

I'm 50 in December. Cutler is by far the best QB the Bears have had in my lifetime. I liked Jimmy Mac a lot better and was probably more enthusiastic about the club when Kramer and Miller were QB'ing them, but on all measurables, Cutler is better. For some reason, some of the "haters" here expect perfection because he's paid well. Foolishness. But that's just my opinion, although it's backed up by the numbers, facts, etc. Most don't want to take into account the constantly changing offenses during most of Cutler's career here, under a defensive minded coach, with no O Line talent, and a GM who absolutely SUCKED at picking offensive players. They're entitled to their flawed opinions too.

Don't care. Anyone who swings from one end of the spectrum to the other in that short of a time, like some of the gals here, ought to have their opinions discounted.

Was Gould's missed XP this weekend his first ever?
-
Very concise. I agree. I wanted him when we drafted him... And then he cried. And I knew, right then, I was wrong.
-
Yep

I agree with everything above. Miami in our place is a must win at this point.

It was shocking, SHOCKING I TELL YOU, to see Conte injured in the game. That NEVER happens. Good game summary Adam!

I don't know why I'm ever surprised by the "sky is falling" crowd here anymore, but the raging hormones of some of our members is just so disappointing. "Cutler Sucks!" Then a few days later... "Cutler Rules!" Cutler hasn't been the sole reason we've lost or won, all season long. He's a team leader and he could improve at certain aspects of his game. Even yesterday he wasn't perfect (although it was pretty damn close.) Here's a recommendation, before some of you come on the board in the future, take a Midol. QB's aren't perfect, even really good ones. So chill out and enjoy the ride. This team has several flaws and so we can expect the chicken little crowd to chirp away each and every time there's a bump in the road. Of that I'm certain.

The Bears would've won that Superbowl if they had a more seasoned QB that year. No doubt in my mind. It was there for the taking and they just couldn't get it done. Grossman wasn't the only reason but he didn't really do anything to help, either. Cutler is a far better QB than Grossman. Anyone who says otherwise is a moron.

Time to test the "We can just outscore them" theory.

Unless we're playing the Packers.

I hate it when we have douchey players on our team but can live with it as long as they don't embarrass the team. Suh is widely known as dirty and he's definitely embarrassed the Lions. If we did bring him here, I'd want the coaches to make it clear that he was expected to go all out, within the rules, and that the dirty shit doesn't fly here.

Probably. Hey, real quick, name one QB who never has communication problems with his WR's. Thanks.

I think some of his earlier WTF's (from prior to Trestman) were due to shitty O Line. But this is what I meant by the next threee weeks are critical. If we lose 2 of those 3 games, we're going to see Cutler press more and things will get worse. I sense if we can, instead, win 2 out of three, he'll calm down a bit, things will come together and we'll make a serious push for the playoffs. This is in Jay's control and he's paid well enough that we have every right to expect better than we've seen. It's on him.

First off, let me just say this... I was pissed with Cutler's play this weekend too. And he has to get goddamn better or we're not going anywhere this season. With that said... Statistically Cutler is still a top QB in this league. Question what you want about how he handles himself during interviews or when you see him on the sidelines in the few shots of him we're shown, whatever. Facts are borne out by numbers. There's certainly room for improvement and he's got to get his head outta his ass on various picks but they weren't all his errors either. Marshall hasn't been 100% and he quit on one last week. This week on another of Jay's picks the Bears sideline was up in arms about interference or holding on the D that wasn't called that held up the receiver. So Jay only has 6 picks on the year and I've already talked about 2 of them. I'm sure more research would address a few others. Meanwhile Luck, Ryan and Brees all also have 6 picks and they most certainly don't SUCK. For me, I'm very disappointed in Trestman. His play calling seems stagnant. There is no way this team should be without a RB rushing TD this far into the season. And let's be honest, Forte didn't help with his fumble late this week either. With better play from ALL players, better play calling, better health from our WR group, this team could be 4-1 right now. They've got flaws but they aren't unfixable. The D has been OK. I'd give them a C grade. And according to all the minds here before the season started, that was supposed to be good enough. Special teams still blows but at least we're now smart enough, most of the time, to take a knee and start at the 20. Earlier this season we were bringing it out, getting to the 10, getting penalties or fumbling. It was brutal, now it just sucks. The sky isn't falling. We should've expected some of this with many of our games being road games or against Green Bay at home. We've played very well at times and then horribly at others. Some of that is leadership, losing poise, and some of it is just bad luck. We need the key players on this team to step it up, Jay to spread the ball around better downfield than he has (generally) and the D to continue to improve. I'm still all for firing Tucker right now but he's likely our DC for the season so we'll just have to deal with it. Obviously the same goes for Jay being our QB and that's for longer than just this season. Blaming him for everything that's gone wrong these last two weeks is just foolish. We're at a turning point for the season over the next three weeks. Things have to improve but I've seen enough to know that it isn't all doom and gloom.

Did I hurt your feelings?
-
I've got a good feeling about this game. Hope I'm right.
-
LOL!

You've been surprised a lot recently. All the guys you liked, suck. All the players you ripped are doing well. Congrats. You're the kiss of death.
-
I think the answer to that is probably "It depends" but yes, stingers are usually a short term injury.
-
Dude is an idiot. Sooooo glad this happened to the Lyin's!!!!

Not sure if it's universal or just something else going on this year. The Eagles who have one of the best offenses in the league have started off slowly, IIRC, all three weeks. Maybe it's just the lack of practice in preseason due to the new agreement. Hell if I know. But it isn't just us and it isn't just West Coast Offenses.
