  1. If Brisker leaves via FA, he could get us a comp pick. Dexter needs a contract and personally think he sucks. If keep every other DB except Owens and McCloud. Some players will stay here more cheaply, like Billings and Byard. Need a youth movement at LB. And pass rush is paramount.
  2. Wow! I think Smith would make a great FS. I also think Stevenson would make a great SS. Either way, our secondary is stacked. Owens and McCloud should be easy cuts...
  3. I hope he stays too. I keep forgetting about that rookie we have that is built just like him.
  4. Yes, then no, definitely. Brown unfortunately saw it first, then hit the brakes while manipulating Wright's momentum. It was a classic Michael Irvin push off. If Wright sees it first and makes the first move, it's PI. Brown is a monster. Great play by Brown.
  5. It's not Sunday, I don't need preaching because of one person.
  6. Good Lord man, it's so windy, the goal posts are shaking. We are dominating this game. I'm impressed.
  7. Water seeks it's own level and so will the Bears. I'm thankful that we're all hopeful.
  8. I never saw Benedet as the answer. He is a prototypical guard/center. I'm very happy Ozzy has shown he can do it and if only for a game.
  9. Something Orlovsky just broke down from the Eagles Cowboys game intrigues me. Flus deployed a five man front to stop the run and it was successful. It kept the Eagles OL from being able to run their trap blocking scheme. Why not have Billings, Jarrett, and Dexter working the middle. Of course, Philly will learn from this and expect some of it from the Bears and prepare accordingly. It may also help with our shortage at LB.
  10. Barkley and a wake up game is enough. If we win, I've totally underestimated our talent.
  11. I'll apologize in advance, but I believe we're gonna take an ass whooping Friday. Philly is gonna be pissed all week.
  12. Pretending I didn't keep tabs on the game and a buddy called me to recap. If anyone would have told me we lost the TOP, plays, yardage and penalty stats, I would say we lost. If they also told me, we didn't win the turnover battle and our opponent scored a defensive touchdown, I would say we got beat by double digits. Instead we beat our first team with a winning record. And y'all know the injury list. Great win, Jason! Not your Lovie Bears...
  13. Could be another says who, but overpaying doesn't make it right. The entire reason for our current rebuild is because of Pace trading the future away. Now, if Poles wants to trade some capital to move up to get a blue chip pass rusher or two in the draft, I'll bite.
  14. I don't want us to trade away draft picks to continually fill holes. At some point, the draft has to suffice if winning is to be sustainable.
  15. Any given Sunday is very true. We could be overlooked and under prepared for by our opponent. We could call and execute a perfect or flawed game. We could get breaks or get hosed by the officials. What we can control is our attitude. The right attitude, leads to better focus and intensity. Those traits lead to better practice and study habits. Repetition of those lead to consistent execution. We are seeing this at the end of games lately. The team is learning to win. I personally believe that the fold part is over. Don't get me wrong. We can still take an ass whooping, but we aren't gonna lie down for it anymore. Bear down!
  16. This a consensus of draft gurus from ESPN.
  17. As up and down as the Steelers are, it would be nice to get our first win over an above 500 team.
  18. As of now, we pick 23rd and look for us to fall into the 18-20 range as the season progresses. I did a mock draft on PFF and changed our pick to 18. Five edge players were drafted before us. Things always change and a star may be born in the coming months.
