  1. I was a fan of Trubisky, but thought the trade was idiotic when it happened. My thought was always, plan B if plan A didn't work out. I've never hated a GM more than Pace. So embarrassing...
  2. He has prototypical size and amazing athletic traits. Quick release, mobile, cannon arm, accurate deep ball, known clutch performer, plays in a pro offense and succeeds with lesser talent around him. Another plus, is that he comes from a well rounded athletic family.(other D 1 athlete) I encourage you to read the latest Athletic scouting article on him as well. Mack Jones is not the same coach that Trubisky had, so similarities should end there. The system that he plays in is one of the few that asks the QB to read both safeties on every given play. This is important in that it gives a better assessment of his pro abilities...
  3. Fields makes something like 7 mil in 2024.
  4. Swifty is off his damn rocker sometimes. Nobody called Mayfield, Goff and Young generational. As far as Harrison Jr is concerned; he's a stud, but at what cost. If drafting him makes us miss out on fixing the offensive and defensive fronts, I'm out. My hope is that Poles makes a free agent splash to give draft relief for BPA.
  5. And what is Justin? Oh, and what is Justin again? You are trying to turn a battleship with a squirt gun in this argument. 2,507 yd, 14 td, 5 int, 99.1 rat 1,201 yd, 11 td, 6 int, 91.6 rat Which stat line do you like? Do you want the wins and losses? I'm dying to be wrong about Fields...
  6. 100% He was one missed pass from winning the Superbowl. Justin would've not even seen the guy.
  7. Here's one I like. The front line rebuild is complete, on both sides of the ball!
  8. It's not working properly yet.
  9. This is the standard to go by. I believe this was the last draft of two generational prospects. Of course we know Manning and Leaf went polar opposite directions in their careers. Taking it full circle to Trubisky and Fields, some still believe in Justin like others believed in Trubisky and vice versa. Say a football prayer for the last seven games...
  10. You don't know your ass from a hole in the ground, when it comes to generational quarterbacks.(just like me, so you know the above was for laughs) Cleveland didn't draft one and neither did we. Nobody called the Cleveland five and our last two generational. Experts determine that crap. Guys like you and I just have the eye test. They considered Luck and Lawrence the last two "can't miss" guys. Now they are saying Williams and Maye will be the first two generational talents, in the same draft, in decades. You were right about Trubisky being a scrub. I hope you also correct on Fields, because that would be our best draft scenario.
  11. I think current circumstances will lead Harbaugh out of Michigan. Michigan rescinded the contract extension, signalling the beginning of the end. As for him heading to the Bears, I have always been a resounding no. It's for personal reasons, due to things I know from his time in Indy. That being said, I'm over it and he may be exactly what we are looking for to be that dog. Harbaugh the coach, builds great fronts, so he should really like what Poles has been up to. I'm still in Flus's corner. Will re-address that in January.
  12. I noticed that. One thing I really liked seeing, a couple of weeks ago, was Justin calling the plays as if he were in the huddle. That's a benefit of the headset.
  13. I don't think Bagent had lost confidence. He was probably told that he didn't have to push anything to win this game.
  14. Halfway through the season, we are now 3-6. It's not where most thought we'd be, while it was with others. Sitting in year two of a massive rebuild, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Poles: he's brought over 60 new faces into Halas Hall in the last two years. He has taken us from relying on the likes of Germaine Ifedi, to having the makings of a solid offensive line. We have yet to see them all healthy this year to date. What other team has faced that? The Montez Sweat trade was huge. Great cap space and draft picks are again top of the league. His biggest failure is with Claypool, Velus and lack of a good center. Victories include; Sweat, Bagent, Braxton, Moore, Edwards, Edmunds, Sanborn, Stevenson, Scott, Pickens, Dexter, Brisker and Gordon. It's looking like we'll be around 1 and 5(or 10) in the draft. I imagine Poles pulling another monster trade and getting us the best player at the following four positions.(LT, EDGE, 3T and C) Flus: the team is playing hard for him. See how fast it goes bad for a bad coach like McDaniel? He lost his DC and RB coaches due to HR, which I still don't understand. It makes me believe Kevin Warren has instituted an HR team that draws a hard line that has McCaskey written all over it. The defense is playing a lot better and, like the OL, haven't seen them all together yet. Getsy: some say he's unimaginative, some say too cute. What I'm seeing is a coach that is adapting and overcoming. Bagent had four turnovers last week, essentially costing us the game. Getsy dialed it back to protect Bagent this week and result was a first down, yardage and TOP domination. Most importantly, no turnovers. Getsy trusted Bagent on third down and he hit Mooney with the dagger. Fields and Bagent: their combined superpower is that they both can move the sticks with their arm and legs. They compliment each other by being complete opposites with intangibles. Both can be good enough. Their greatest value, in staying, is what Poles can do with the draft and free agency. Here's to Keeping the Band Together...???
  15. That was the worst offensive PI call I've ever seen. The DB was literally ten yards from the the called area.
  16. We continue to have the worst stadium fans in the NFL. I can't comprehend the negativity and booing. Karma is real...
  17. The best thing for Justin was to sit there and watch Bagent execute the offense more efficiently than he has. I truly think Justin has a little stubbornness in his play style. If he develops a sense of urgency, which may take some humility, it may save his career.
  18. This gives me hope. I'm still thinking Maye is the deal, but really want Fields and/or Bagent to take it.
  19. I'd just like to start with having a QB to over pay in the first place...? Seriously, they are hosed...
  20. I've had a few of them. Since you are dealing with tendons and ligaments, it takes some time. I can bend mine like it's double jointed now. He can actually re-injure it by squeezing the football too tightly. If it were a huge game, he could suck it up and play. The smart bet, is to have him come back after the Carolina game.
  21. I think Arizona is in full tank mode regardless of Murray. They know he's not the guy and want one of those pics at the top. I'll be surprised if they win another game.
