  1. I highly doubt Poles will go in big for a player unless he sees them here and productive for at least four years.
  2. After seeing more of him this morning, I'm really looking Marvin Harrison junior. Dude is upgraded clone of his old man. Three inches taller and faster. Exact same body shape and outstanding route runners with great separation. They had to accentuate/alter the NFL rules from the way New England played against Sr in attempts to stop him. He's my 2024 guy.
  3. When you factor in the hit they are going to take for Carr, adding Adams to that would be huge.
  4. Mustipher is terrible. We are on year three of him not being able to perform a switch off. Either every QB he's played with can't call a protection scheme or it's him. One of the most ill used comments I hear is, "the best ability is availability". I've watched three years of him being available and think it's only because there is nothing left in the cupboard.

I was just talking to a buddy about some of the bowl names. Big daddy bowl, mayo bowl and Tony the Tiger Bowl. WTH...?
  6. I've never seen where Poles was in on Wilson. Wasn't that a Pace thing?
  7. What would we be saying about Fields if he didn't emerge as a running phenom? Would we be beaming about his improvement in the passing game? I still see that he's slow to read, slow release and throws from a low arm slot. I also see an improved release time and quicker reads. What I'm deeply concerned about is his inability to work the middle of the field. Fields made his bones in college as a pocket passer and certainly believe his progress has been slow to get back to that. I also don't mind him running 8-10 times a game. So far, he's not taken any bad hits on designed runs. He'll also continue to see stacked boxes until he can make a defense pay consistently. Once he learns to put the safeties on notice, our Superbowl window opens.
  8. Poles measured the value of getting a WR in FA and found it lacking. A second rounder for a developed secund rounder is a good gamble, while being technically feasible. I've stated many times how important a go to reciever is in today's game. Poles has had a look into what we may get from Claypool. That look may lead him to Quenton Johnston.
  9. Kinda cool rooting for Lovie again. As much as I hate losing, sitting at the top of the draft could be lucrative.
  10. Yes, Quenton Johnston. If they like him that would be great. I watched video and read a good scouting report on the The Athletic. He's a Christian Watson that runs good routes with excellent hands.
  11. I'm simply fixated on three positions this off season. Number one type reciever, OL and DL. I'm not convinced that Fields skillset is good enough to overcome the lack of a true number one and the fronts. My tagline at the old site was, "It all starts up front". I still believe that to be true after all these years. There is only one chance at a number one this year, and it's through the draft. (Unless an unforeseen trade occurs) The front lines can be made solid through FA, trade and the draft. If we land at the 2 spot, I think we can get our number one and have the draft clout to stock it up front.
  12. Jeudy would be perfect if Claypool emerges. I don't have faith in ESB and Harry to amount to anything but a good blocker. It was very nice to see Jones track that ball yesterday. After that, I like Mooney and Pettis. Mooney, Claypool, Jeudy, Jones, Pettis and two picks 23' and 24'.
  13. Go Lovie! Remember all of the meaningless games he win for us at the end of the season. Used to drive Jason and others nuts. Oh the good old days...?
  14. As long as the reciever is a stud for us in 2024. If you go back 8 years of Superbowl winners, you won't find a winner without at least one stud reciever. Most have two. Reciever is very key in today's football.
  15. Here's a draft focussing on 2024. I really like Quentin Johnston out of TCU, but can see drafting him before 6. So, I traded down a couple of times to get the second best WR. This draft has it all.
  16. I didn't get my number 1 reciever, but think this could be damn good.
  17. Leatherwood can improve. He has the prototypical physical traits. It seems he dominated at the collegiate level on pure talent. As a pro, he's a little soft and late by just a hair. Players that get beat, over compensate by leaning. That was greatly noted when Leno was going through his issues. Leatherwood needs to want it so bad that he hits the fight button and stays there. Late feet, late hands, weak punch and late ass-set all lead to lack of aggression and confidence. (Both are mental) If he truly wants to make it, he can and will. Right now, it doesn't seem so.
  18. They have optims on how they'll do it, but please never mention Tevin Jenkins as a tackle candidate again. Same deal as Kyle Long. Leave the stud where he is a stud...
  19. Dieter is s great cold weather name. Get him in there!
  20. Jones and Jenkins are set. I wouldn't be surprised if Patrick is our center next year. Whitehair is not worth 14 mil, so I'm looking to get him to take a cut or be cut. Leatherwood is worse than my "fatal flaw" commentary, as I watched Greg Gabriel break him down. I failed to mention that he's waist bending instead of knee bending. I would try him at left guard and if he can't do that, he's out. Will Borom ever be good enough? For next season, give me a massive upgrade at LG and RT and draft our future center.
  21. Heck, I wouldn't even need the 37. In
  22. I'm thinking a little more like Stinger. For continuity, I'd rather see two good upgrades come in and think they would help improve the others, especially when young guys are expected to improve. Money is funny, even when it's crazy abundant. Looking at years and balance between O and D are imperative. I don't want to see us in any sort of cap situation for at least five years.
