  1. Lamar Jackson is an idiot. The media is doing him no favors, as they all decry foul play and how crazy the Ravens are. How many playoff games had he won? He's missed the end of the last two seasons with injury. Lamar is locked in and doing nothing but costing himself and his team. I don't see Mac Jones going. Last year was a complete crap fest with Belichick's enormous ego thinking a career DC could switch to OC. Belichick has jumped the shark and his owner knows it. Kraft said, regarding Belichick sticking around to break Shula's record, "we keep people around that produce".(paraphrase) Can't wait for the surprises.
  2. You guys gave me all insight needed to make things clear to me on a positional basis. In that I was thinking of Peter Skoronski. His short arms have given people pause to be excited about him, but he's still considered top 12. With his agility, strength and technique experts are saying, forget about the arms and play him at any position on the OL and he's going to be a day one starter. If we draft Skoronski, at worst, he'll be a bigger faster stronger Kelce. I'll take him all day long.
  3. Again, I'll disagree. Out of the successes you stated only Fields and Burrow had dismal offensive lines. Marino, Kelly, Brees, Manning, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Jackson, and Mahommes all had decent offensive lines when they were thrust into action. I don't want to begin the list of sacrificial lambs that didn't have the luxury. All situations we choose to highlight have individual circumstances that can't be quantified. It comes down to individual philosophy like the chicken and egg...
  4. When is the last time it worked?
  5. If a Jason Kelce was coming out, as a rookie, and you knew what you were getting, where would you draft him? I'm going somewhere with this and need your input...
  6. The only way I could love this any more is to add one more thought. When you are a cellar dweller, get your house (OL) in order before you draft your franchise QB. Why lead a lamb to slaughter when you can feast on your opponent...
  7. Hands down Georgia...
  8. This is going to sound goofy, but he's one of those skinny ankle guys. I don't trust them to hold up. If you look at Donald as a comparison, Donald has Fred Flintstone ankles. Another skinny ankle dude is Terron Armstead. Yeah he's really good, but also gets hurt a lot.
  9. If this is the case and it works out well, I would be ecstatic. If not, I'll be sorely disappointed in a another blown opportunity that would sting like other administration's failures. I'm in a mindset to over-invest until it's no longer a talking point...

That's what I love about Poles so far. He's humble, yet assertive. He's also very anchored in a way that gives him conviction and discipline. The fact that he has a distinct process gives me confidence that he won't have any of the "dumbass attacks" that Pace had. If Fields pans out we're gonna start a really good run in 2024...
  11. Center is the one position that the experts aren't agreeing on. Wypler, Tippman and Schmitz all garner top center from multiple gurus. Avila has even received a top vote on one. Scheme fit may separate the big 3. It would be cool to see a consensus.
  12. That's a good guess. The only other ones I see in there would be Nolan Smith and Miles Murphy.
  13. They have to catch and cook his dinner if they want serviced later...?
  14. I like it from a development perspective. Eiselen has shown tremendous improvement the last two years. Having solid backups are tremendously valuable. If they can turn into plus starters, even better. I still want the thoroughbreds drafted, knowing you have a contingency plan of they fail or are hard to extend..
  15. I like it. My preference would be to address RB and move TE in the 3rd. I think Deuce is going to be a handful, but our offense hasn't evolved in able for him to succeed with us.
  16. For my entire life the Chicago Bears have been portrayed as blue collar, hard nosed, black and blue, great defense and great running game. It hasn't worked for over 30 years! Time fix it, once and for all. We have a chance to create the greatest offense we have ever had. It all begins with my tag line from the old site, "IT ALL STARTS UP FRONT". It's time! We have an opportunity to draft the final two pieces to an OL that has been neglected for decades. Those are decades of not developing a QB or winning a Superbowl. I'm not saying who Poles should draft, he has multiple options at RT and C. All I am asking is to get it done and do it with certainty. Other than OL, I really want him to draft a young bell cow running back, a 3T(or two) and a "move" TE. I honestly don't care about them fixing the defense until they give Fields 100% of what he needs to succeed. Fields succeeding will improve the defense greatly; more than a rookie DE ever could. I'm tired of waiting and hoping. I especially don't want to have all of the Trubisky talk about Fields. This IS the decision year on Fields, no debate. Give me Skoronski or Johnson Jr at OT and Schmitz, Avila or Wypler at center and you'll never hear me complain about OL being neglected again.
  17. This draft is deep in what we need and Pace ? didn't get a chance to trade our picks away. I like Skor, but Johnson looks like the smart pick with him being able to play LT as well. With 10 picks, the draft should be lovely.
  18. Totally agree. Plus, this is not the year anyway. Make solid moves and draft BPA.
  19. How long has it been since we had a receiver consistently draw double coverage or shade from a safety? I like the brashness, as it builds high intensity to back it up. With Mooney and Claypool coming into next contracts, they'd better step up.
  20. My guess is that they'll continue to address in the draft and maybe a cap cut. A better front seven will do wonders.
  21. Did I read it wrong? I read it like Justin said it...
  22. Absolutely! Film shows that his agility at contact is generational.
