  1. I don' know if he'll fall, but I'd be willing to give a 4th or 5th to move up and get courtland sutton... come on pace, knock it out of the park!! I thought for sure he'd be gone before rd 2...
  2. My guy: Nelson.. he's been compared to hutchinson... nuff said... if we are going to finally have any offensive aptitude, it starts up front...it's not rocket science... protect trubisky and the offense thrives.. btw I wouldn't be opposed to moving Nelson to tackle as his measurables show he could be a damn good one... I would then hope for hubbard in the second as I'm a big buckeye fan ( he reminds me of vrabel ) and think he'd make a great olb... Guys I'd be ok with: Smith/Edmonds with Billy price in the second. Guy I'd be pissed and would scream fire pace: Ward... like I said huge buckeye fan.. ward is overated and benefited from the great pass rush of hubbard and bosa and young.. he is not like lattimore... he is like Callahan but went to a big program and benefited from it...
  3. First, I've gotta say DAMN!!! For some reason I wasn't able to log in or send any admins messages for help... This new format made recovering my acct possible... second, I'll say this... I'm a huge buckeye fan, and ward is overrated... I'd rather trade back and pick up a late first and second rd. pick... then if you want to go db, go Jackson from iowa, maybe take those two seconds and trade back in to get conner williams, but if you're gonna go with any osu player this yr, make it hubbard... he will be a helluva olb...
  4. Jason, are you a scUM fan or a bama fan cause you sound like it... I have been a buckeye fan since I was old enough to watch football. Ohio state doesn't even win the big ten let alone the national title without Elliot! He gets faster as the game goes on, he gets stronger as the game goes on. I've never seen anything like it except for peterson... Zeke is the best rb OSU has had since Eddie George and to be honest .... he's better! I watched every game I can tell you I knew he'd be great way back when he was coming in for Carlos Hyde in clean up time...Seriously he's like T.O.??? Get the facts! A. It was right after the loss to msu, his first of the year (almost two yrs ) he was emotional and is a young player who knows he could have done more... He had the flu and was in the hospital the night before...the coaches only called 12 running plays I believe on the day... a day that was cold and rainy.. the kids wants to win and wants to carry a team what's not to like about that? Also, OSU offensive line the championship season was almost all new there were no huge holes ... Zeke has a rare mix of vision, power, and speed!
  5. http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2016/4/21...sand-yard-backs Forget the myth of you can find a good rb in the later rounds... forget the bull sh#t that the rb position is devalued... its all a crock!

  7. Jaylon smith if he falls to the third

    Rumors

I know a lot of people are comparing him to adrian peterson, and as far as sheer power and speed are concerned I would agree but I think his running style and his catching the ball out of the backfield I think he is more comparable to ladanian tomlinson...

With your first round pick, you should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS go pure BPA!!! You bring up millen because millen was a dumbass and went wr each time... if BPA is a position that doesn't need adding then you try to swing a trade... its common sense! Many people will say oh its a lot harder than you think and not just anyone could do it then why the hell does it seem like every player that I have wanted the bears to draft for almost ten years turn out to be studs..? This isn't rocket science its football! See most GMs over think it and then they have to overpay for top talent in f.a. don't over think it... at 11 if Zeke is still there you take him because he is BPA don't believe me... watch just about any buckeye game I won't even narrow it to the playoffs two years ago... he is the best rb. to come out of the draft in a LONG time he will be a game changer... if Dallas takes him he will go to many many pro bowls!
  10. bear trap

    Rumors

Not to mention he gets stronger later in the game when everyone else is tired.. he's the best rb to come out of college since a.p. or maybe even ladanian Tomlinson who he reminds me of...

Well I personally hope if he is on the board, they take him. Passing on a player due to need is how most g.m.s get fired after two years. Think about it, by you logic the vikings in 06 had a 1200yd rb in chester Taylor but look who they took... its all about taking BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE and if Zeke is on the board, that's him!
  12. [quo016, 12:52 PM' post=156935] It's that time of year when some of us are spending way too much time looking at draft guides/highlights/etc. So inspired by the recent All Athlete Draft I saw posted, any other fun All "Something" drafts you can put together for the Bears. I can make a very credible "all Florida" draft with one little cheat that I actually wouldn't be upset with for the Bears: 1. Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida 2. Jonathan Bullard, DE, Florida 3. Keanu Neal, S, Florida 4. Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida 4. Kelvin Taylor, RB, Florida 5. Antonio Morrison, ILB, Florida 6. Jeff Driskell, QB, Louisiana Tech (but formerly of Florida) 6. Alex McAllister, OLB, Florida 7. Jake McGee, TE, Florida Any other schools this would work for? How about an all injured draft? All same first name? All undersized? Just trying to kill time to get me through the next three weeks . . . Ohio State draft 1st Ezekiel Elliott - best rb in a draft since a.p. 2nd Vonn Bell - Paired with Amos shores up the def backfield 3rd Adolphus Washington - Day 1 starter at the 5 tech opposite hicks 4th Joshua Perry - future olb to replace young and houston 4th Tyvis Powell - Back up safety/ nickel back 5th Cardale Jones - Cutlers protege... perfect for the windy city because he has the best arm strength in draft 6th Nick Vannett - Replacement for Bennett 6th Jalin Marshall - Speedy slot receiver/ return guy 7th Corey Smith - Special team contributed/ depth at wr
  13. My bad, I could've swore it said both, but either way I am not down with giving up either for him... we've pretty much given Marshall to them and as far as I'm concerned we need to play hard ball back... if they keep him, enjoy the cap hell they'll be in cause as far as I'm concerned I'd rather take rankins and save the money... not to mention he's coming off a broken leg. If they get desperate maybe offer a 3rd and a 6th...
  14. Okay I've gotta share... I just read the most dumbass article I think has ever been written. In the article the suggestion was the bears trade for mo wilk. and what it recommended we offer: wait for it.... the 11th pick AND alshon Jeffrey!!! If Chicago actually did that I would start rooting for the puckers just in spite of the bears... I would seriously beg someone to hit pace in the head for being a moron... just had to share... I guess Wilkinson is now worth a 1st rd pick and a pro bowl wr....
  15. I would love that draft, just not who they have us picking... I would love to see Ronnie Stanley in the first and A'shawn Robinson in the second, followed up with Darren lee in the third and move him to safety.... that would bring a smile to my face!!!
  16. They will probably trade kyle long for a third rd pick because he's on social media too much and that kind of distraction isn't tolerated... we may have to throw in a 6th rd pick to make it work though...
  17. http://nflmocks.com/2016/03/22/chicago-bea...erson-scenario/
  18. Yeah you better bet your ass I'm bitching! But some of us aren't gonna PRETEND that losing a pro bowl receiver and a probowl tight end for a fourth and fifth rd draft pick makes the team better... only morons would say that...BTW how did that terrible teammate marshall do for N.Y. last year? Here's a tip... being a fan doesn't mean you have to agree with all the dumb moves your team makes and it doesn't mean you're pretending to be a fan either...
  19. Well it shouldn't take much from a recent logic stand point.. he's had some injury concerns and they've already got his replacement so he may be cut.. according to dumb-moron logic we should be able to offer our 5th rd pick for clady and their 7th rd pick right... maybe throw in a couple N.Y. strip steaks to seal the deal... oh wait we're talking about the bears... better offer two 1st rd picks and naming rights to cutlers next born...
  20. Looks like John Fox places personality over production Email Facebook Twitter Steve Rosenbloom THE ROSENBLOG Recent Columns 1 of 91 JOHN J. KIM / CHICAGO TRIBUNE Bears tight end Martellus Bennett 9:57 am, March 17, 2016 It doesn’t matter whether you’re productive. It only matters whether John Fox thinks you’re all football, all the time, and nothing but football and don’t even think about writing a book or even reading one. That’s the message of the Bears reportedly trading their best tight end to the Patriots along with a sixth-round draft pick in exchange for a fourth-rounder. I suppose Fox feels better, even if his team looks worse. The Bennett trade mirrors the Brandon Marshall deal last year in which a productive player was packaged with a lower draft choice for a higher pick. Marshall was a distraction to the entire organization, seemingly from ownership on down, an embarrassment that Ryan Pace was forced to trade. Marshall wouldn’t have been a Fox guy, anyway. Not even close. Not from the first syllable of telling Robbie Gould to shut up. Bennett did not foment the same kind of internal anger, but he didn’t have to go that far. Bennett just had to miss voluntary team activities while demanding more money to redden the backside of the footbally Fox. By the time Bennett threw a hissyfit in November about losing red-zone targets, Fox seemingly was done with the player. The end was nigh because the attitude was pretty much the opposite of what Fox wants. What Fox demands. Old-time-hockey. Eddie Shore. Toe Blake. John Fox. But here’s thing: Fox hasn’t won. He has his footbally ways and his footbally mindset, but being all footbally hasn’t produced a championship. And here he is, forcing the team to dump a talented player for which there is no reliable replacement. Zach Miller is a nice player. Sometimes he’s great. When he’s healthy. That has been a big when. Rob Housler is another Bears tight end. Did you know that? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Point is, if the Bears have a 6-7 tight end who can catch and block at high levels, then they’ve done an excellent job of hiding him. Last season, the Bears thought they had replacements for Marshall’s production, but Alshon Jeffery was named First Team All-Soft Tissue Injury and I believe top draft pick Kevin White got suffered an injury hearing Roger Goodell call his name. Raise your hand if you can see Fox’s team losing Miller to another injury this season the way they lost Jeffery for half of last season and then not having an answer for where one of Jay Cutler’s favorite outlets used to be. Fox has defined himself as a coach who’s limited in several areas. Clock management comes to mind. This case appears to confirm that Fox can manage diverse personalities on the 53-man roster as long as nobody has a personality. Bennett’s new boss, Bill Belichick, has managed Rob Gronkowski. That’s some kind of personality. Belichick could not manage Aaron Hernandez, but then, no one outside of the penal system could. By placing more importance on personality than performance, Fox has forced his general manager to make the Bears less talented. Pace has done well to get something for players that everyone knew he had to dump, but he, too, is a culprit in making the Bears worse. This move is all Fox, however, and in forcing his roster to become less talented, Fox has ramped up the pressure on himself and sped up the expectations of winning a title. The Bears aren’t talented enough to throw away productive players, but Fox has forced his organization to do it, so he’s wearing it. Fox wants things his way. That’s what a coach does, even a coach who has never won while wanting it his way. Now it’s on Fox to show he can outcoach the handicap he has placed on his roster.
  21. Maybe go d.l. with the first third rd pick but looks good to me...
  22. FanSided: Chicago Bears Mock Draft: Post-Free Agency Surge. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwxOvCwSk
  23. Everyone in the front office wanted him gone because he was the only one with a sack to publically hold cutler accountable... really mental stability issues??? They knew about his issues before they traded for him.. if you buy a pet snake you can't be upset one day if it bites you! Yes Marshall was TOO PASSIONATE he HATED losing and called cutler out for playing like a dumbass! He was the only one who had the balls to do it and I respected that about him!
  24. He may be a stud, and Bennett and Marshall may have had red flags, but did Jones not just show up at the police station disorientated in january because he was high on pot... really is that not red flag... seems like a pretty similar situation... and though edge rushers may come at a premium, last time I checked complete tight ends are at a premium as well and so are top elite wr but hey Marshall was too passionate and Bennett is discontent cause he wants paid so we better not expect them to get much in return.. why couldn't they just smoke pot!?! Then we'd get some good draft picks... yeah the sarcasm is running pretty thick I'll chalk it up as teams are just dumb as hell! That or everyone wants to make new england look smarter than everyone else...
