  1. I've watched Wright from Tennessee play several times and would be a perfect RT. I think he would start day one. May be able to get him in the second round.,
  2. I think (Poles) either keeps Monty or drafts a mid round RB( maybe both). Several good ones in free agency but thinks he spends the big contracts in the trenches.
  3. This group of WRs doesn't seem to be as strong as the last couple of years. Not sure any are a true# 1. Having said that I like JS-N and think he may be the best of the group. Only way we get him is in a trade back extra pick in top 40.
  4. Pretty much agree with all you stated. We will know more by who he resigns back on the team. I think other than a rookie WR that our wrist set. Claypool-Mooney- V Jones- ESB- rookie and brings back Pringle or Harry. If he brings back Morrow and Adams, then he will probably add a couple draft picks to the LB room with Sanborn. There are several good ones from 40-80 range ( Sanders, To o To o, Sewell, Campbell but it may be late rounds. If we stay in the top 10 , BPA will be a DT or edge rusher. Our next pick could be anything but there are some edge rushers around there to. I think he attacks the OL in free agency plus one DT. Then drafts the hell out of DL in the early draft.
  5. I'm not sure if it will matter but Jenkins just got married. It seems most of his problems come from inmaturity . Maybe he grows up a little. He's a stud when he plays, but his brain makes chaos for him. I think Poles drafts a third round versatile offensive lineman that can fill in if someone fails or beat him out of a job. Cunningham came from Philly and what does the Eagles have? Good OL and DL. That's where the money will be spent. That's what successful teams have, then you fill in the wow players.
  6. I agree if they move on from Whitehair. Get Ben Powers probably cheaper than keeping Whitehair.
  7. Since he's been with the Bears, he as only been tried at the LT spot. Jenkins was put several spots, Patrick was moved around but I think Poles will stick with him there. I think that is exactly what Poles will do. One DL and a RT. I also think he will add a OC. There are several out there and they come at a cheaper value. Remember last year, the first day in FA he offered Brian Allen a higher contract than LA did. 2 OL that is here for2023 is J Carter and Kellen Diesch that may be inline to be depth this year.
  8. I think he knows this off-season is the best situation a GM could ever had and wants to be a part of it. If it works out Poles will be giving him credit to. He will have more job options next year with lots of job credits. Another thing is , he played at Virgina and worked in Baltimore and Philadelphia. He might just be a Northeastern man that wants to stay in that area. He'll wait for a job there.
  9. That's great news, there is always a few quality players released because of salary every year. If Washington franchises him, if they remove the tag, he is automatically a free agent. He can go anywhere. I suspect they make him an offer and hope he comes back even if Payne gets a better offer. Most ego ridden athletes want be the man and he will always be behind Allen in Washington. Here he would be the man.
  10. With Ian being here next year, when he leaves we get two 3rd round picks for having a diversity hire. That's starters in Poles draft capital. This year Velus sucked but next year he will surprise everyone.

  12. There are a lot of smart people that thinks he's the bomb. Not a lot of DLs but lots of edge players in this draft. If we get Payne definitely have to get Anderson.
  13. I like all the names Wright will be a day one starter. Don't see Poles trading for Adams, older player with big contract. If we get a player back, try Waller or Crosby. At least there younger.
  14. I believe Poles can find talent in later rounds for depth. I think he drafts in the 3rd round a versatile OL than can fill in several spots if one of his choices fail. Otherwise later rounds will add depth.
  15. Do you guys think Washington tags him? They have to try to get a QB, their paying Jonathan Allen 21 mil in 2023, and only have 7.3 mil in cap space. I think he will be available.
  16. I just read that 100 players were drafted that was in the senior Bowl last year.
  17. I'll try to find it on YouTube, I think you have to have a Twitter account to open.
  18. The Bears have already been meeting with players. From the Hula bowl Jordan Ferguson/ edge Justin Ford/CB Got this information from Eric Kramer so I hope it's accurate
  19. More importantly I think Flus and Poles likes him. With lots of choices in free agency, it will drive Montys price down. He a team leader, hard worker, and brings physically to the offense. I think we led the league in rushing, not sure we need to change anything. Yes a Pollard or Barkley would bring more to the table but I think he invests cap money in both the O and D lines not in the RB position. Bring a late round pick to compete with Ebner. Plus I suspect the development of Velus will add to the running game also. If Monty leaves its because someone offers him more money that Poles. I suspect it will be the 6-7 range per year.
  20. It may move some players up on our board a few rounds but definitely Killa is spot on.

    Trade Status

Jones ended up being an equal option for much less. I would say Poles expected more than he got either way. If you look at comparable players in the NFL, Jones is a good player, just not a difference maker.
