As of right now we are 10.6 mil in the hole with our cap which is listed at 190 mil. There is a chance that drops another 10 mil which puts us at 20.5 mi. Our biggest cap saving are Fuller-11, Hicks-10.5, Graham 7, Leno 6.5, Massie 5.4, and Skine 2.7. Skine , Massie, and Graham are surely gone. 15.1 in savings. That probably doesnt even get us even with the cap. I think because of Hicks injuries and age , he gets cut. Another 10.5 (cap at +5.1) We could restructure a few contracts Mack, Foles, Goldman, Whitehair, Fuller, and Jackson. Which at best could get us another 10 mil. Cap 15.1 mil. We need to resign some of our own FAs. O'Donell, Santos, T. Gibson, and Bush that would be above the vet min. - 5 mil from the cap. Rookie pool 5 mil. If we franchise AROB, -18 mil. Cap would be 13 mil in the hole. How is any of this even going to work? Even if I am off with the contract restructuring we have big problems.

For the money we are going to have to pay for a Golladay, we would franchise AROB. The only other good WR out there that is young is Corey Davis and he will command to much money. Marvin Jones, A J Green, Watson, Hilton, are either to old or not a good injury history. We will have to go with a secondary player with some upside but our best option is AROB on a tag.
  3. The potential QB candidates for trade are Watson-Stafford-Wentz-Goff-Ryan-Garoppolo. Ryan-Wentz-Goff carry large dead money hits for the teams trading them that would make it impossible to trade. 44 mil cap hit-59 mil cap hit-65 mil cap hit respectively. Watson-Stafford-Garoppolo are user friendly. 5.6 mil hit-19 mil hit-2.8 hit respectively. So if we trade for anyone it would be out of these three. Watson will choose his own fate and has better options than coming here. Lions will probably never trade within the division. Garoppolo is our best option if he is cut. His salary is to high for any team to trade for him because of his injury history, 25.5 mil in 2021. I doubt we would want him unless for a team friendly contract and we would still draft a QB.
  4. If they go for it, they will try to acquire Watson but they will only trade a player to help get Watson, not be trading their stars that they will need to win with. Mack is untradeable anyways. Like NY said, we have to eat his bonus cap hit which would devastate any potential cap space. NE, Colts, and Washington are the only winning teams with cap space to take on Watson, also stable front offices.
  5. With Pace and Nagy on the hot seat for one more year, they are going all in , not rebuilding. They will franchise AROB, try to upgrade the QB position, hopefully upgrade the OL and keep as many pieces on D that they can and still function under the cap.
  6. Pace would be the one negotiating with Watson to come here. Why would he tell Watson that he can pick the new GM and coach if we fail? Didnt Houston say that and then screwed him over?
  7. You're right, so if he holds the cards, why would he choose here? Unstable front office. Probably AROB gone, poor OL. lack of cap and draft capital to get better.
  8. With lack of revenue , I suspect they promote this stuff to make money. Ill send the jersey designs.
  9. Why would he choose here? We are not in the position to give a good enough package in comparison to other teams. Miami, Jets, Carolina. I seen one where Carolina gives them Bridgewater plus higher draft picks. Our best players have to big of contracts to be considered.
  10. I think Pace should be gone, blew the QB thing and keeps buying players to replace his bad high draft picks. I think if Nagy gets the players he wants, he has some value. Hiring a coach by a GM that will be gone in one year is just standing in quicksand. After this year unless something miraculous happens, they will both be gone. Nagy is learning on the job, the first year gave him to much of an ego that he got stubborn. I think he could be a good coach if he just plays to his personal and or Pace gives him a QB he can go with .
  11. What's your opinion on these designs? Apparently the NFL had an artist do a do over on helmets and uniforms going forward.
  12. Are you a pro scout? I have read some bad and good reports about him. There is only one stud in this draft Trevor Lawrence, and top prospects have failed before. I personally like Zach Wilson but he will never be available at 20 , plus , I'm not a pro scout so my opinion only matters to me.
  13. Even if we let Hicks go, Goldman is back, EJAC and Fuller have to play better. Smith will be all pro, Nichols , Johnson , and Quinn will play better. We will better on D but a better scheme will help up us a lot. Fuller/CB-Johnson/CB-Shelly or Vidor at NB. EJAC/FS (we need to bring back Bush, Gibson , Lucas) Mack-Smith-Trevathan-Quinn (we need to bring back Mingo) Nichols-Goldman (we need to bring back Urban, RRH, McCullers, Edwards)
  14. He would be an upgrade but at what cost? We have to go with Foles, draft a QB and hope we can get a decent backup at 3. If we make the OL better, better for Foles and a rookie.
  15. That type of year wont happen again but he could play a lot better than last year. If he just held on to the ball with the chances he had, it would have changed conversation.
  16. There is no way we have the ammo and they will not trade in the division.
  17. Many football people think he's a stud, I only look at EJACs performance this year and cant figure it out.
  18. 20 Christian Darrisaw OT Virginia Tech 52 Kyle Trask QB Florida 83. Dyami Brown WR North Carolina 150. Alaric Jackson OT Iowa 181. Robert Rochell CB Central Arkansas 197. Lorenzo Neal DT Purdue Here is a straight draft using PFN mock draft simulator Mac Jones was gone at pick 52 and not worth pick 20 to me. IMO PFN draft simulator is free if you want to look at it. www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft/
  19. That sounds about right.
  20. Anyone notice most of the D coaches they have been talking to are from a 4-3 scheme ideology? If they change who fits and doesnt? With Goldman coming back and the possibility of letting Hicks leave(most cap savings) , how does that look? Mack-Goldman-Nichols-Quinn. That is a scheme Quinn was more successful in . Since they are in more sub packages that regular alinement, probably means very little. Linebacker would be the questions for the D. Smith at weakside, Trevathan at middle and bring back Mingo for stronsside?
  21. I think that would be a bad idea. Better hires out there with more recent successful experience. James Bettcher should be the guy.
  22. I read where if AROB hits free agency, as long as we dont bring in a high priced FA that the 3rd comp pick comes this year and not next. Anyone know if that's true.
  23. With the gang coming back, I think they will find a way to franchise AROB, draft a QB, and keep Foles and probably Bray. I hope I am wrong. If their guy is there, it will be QB at 20. Lance or Jones? I personally like Wilson, and maybe Jones. There is a deep OT position so probably find one in the second. I want Leno gone but he played better when they did the emergency OL lineup. I hate to say this, but they may bring him back if its not OT in the first on a ready to play prospect. They are going to try to get a winning season and make the playoffs to save their jobs.
  24. People that analyze the draft have Lawrence--Fields--Wilson as the top 3 QBs and to be drafted in the top 10. The next tear is Lance--Jones--Trash not necessarily considered first round picks but could be because of the need of so many teams. I only have a little information on QBs and they are hits and misses in the draft. Lance is by most counts the 4th rated QB. I would say Jones and Trash could be there at 20, not knowing how everyone else rates them. I would say a few of these 6 turn out to be very good, and the rest hit and misses. Darrishaw is the 2nd rated OT and has a good chance of being there at 20, we need to take him and look in the second for a QB prospect and WR in the third. You can grab a another OT later and resign Ifedi at a cheap price until you can develop one of our prospects.
  25. If we dont promote Jay Rodgers, he will go somewhere else as a DC and we will lose him. Same as Brandon Staley who is now being considered for some HC job after success in LA.
