  1. SO 1) bad idea
  2. We still have Foles maybe with a better OL, he can produce better this year, also draft a QB prospect. We are definitely more desperate and have a GM that has no problem trading draft prospects but it Watson is truly going to be traded, there is a long list of teams that will go after him.
  3. I personally think AROB is a top 5 or 6 best WRs in the league. Having said that, for the 18.6 mil it will take just to tag him this year should we? How about sign a Cory Davis made 6 mil last year, ( maybe 10 m) and Curtis Samuel who made 1.6 last year (6 mil contract for this year) and throw in a Phillip Dorsett 1.2 mil this year (3 mil contract). None are as good as AROB but gives us a upgraded WR room, for almost the same money. That way we can concentrate on upgrading the OL and a QB prospect in the draft.
  4. Time to quit dreaming on Wilson and Watson. If the Seahawks trade Wilson they have to take a 39 mil cap hit. No way that would ever happen. If Watson forces a trade, there are several teams in much better position to give higher draft picks in any kind of trade scenario. For example, the Jets can give them Sam Darnold and the number 2 and 23rd picks in the draft. For example Miami can get them Tua and the #3 and 18th pick in the draft. Plus both of those teams have cap space to add help to make their teams better. We have Foles here, sign Alex Smith and draft a prospect , for example, if he falls to our spot, Mac Jones, OR take a OT with the first and draft Trask or Mond with our second pick. Build the line, tag AROB and hope one of those QB prospect become a future starter.
  5. Of the four teams Wilson stated he would accept a trade to, Chi is the only one that makes any sense. LV just came out and praised Carr, that wont happen. Dallas has to jack with Zak, NO is in cap hell. I just dont see Seattle giving a top QB away without having another in play. Wont happen.

They are not adding any new franchises out in the NFL, so what team is in the position to want to change cities? None. Best scenario is the Bears buy Arlington and put in a big enough enclosed stadium to host a SB.
  7. The only thing crazy about this draft is we don't have a 4th or 7th round pick. Good names thou.
  8. I agree with most of what you say, I think they will have to be lucky to get a legitimate starter in any of their options. They either get lucky or both will lose their job after this year. Mortgaging their future drafts for a big strike is probably not going to happen, why would the teams trade Watson or Wilson? They should get fired if they do. Although, if anybody is capable of over paying and forcing a trade it would be Pace.
  9. Trading up in the first is going to include one of the next two round picks plus our first. Even if we include a next year first, I still seeing us having to give up more draft capital this year.
  10. The top 5 QBs are going to be gone by 20. I think they will all be gone by pick 12 which is SF. Between us and pick 12 are NE and Wash of which will be in a better position to move up. With the unlove of Cousins in Minny, I can see them getting a replacement attempt before us. So if we dont have a chance to get a top 5 QB, as most consider the drop off begins, that means we probably dont get to draft one in the first round. The next group, Trask and Mills actually arent rated high enough to take with our 2nd pick either. So anyone we draft is way down on the list of starting in the first couple of years. Getting any of the potential good QBs being traded to us are slim and none. There are other teams with better draft capital or more cap space. I personally would be in for bringing in Minchew but that isnt even in the talk right now. So we are stuck with the potential of Foles starting with a middle round QB prospect. I would prefer a better option of Smith being added to the mix.
  11. Sounds like a perfect Nagy scenario. Wont cost much , no draft capital, and then still draft a QB. I would say better than Foles.
  12. There not getting rid of Wilson without a couple of firsts and some other considerations. They'll be competion AND they don't want to get rid of him.We are already missing a 4th and 7th this year. I seen one proposal of the two firsts, Foles, and Jaylon Johnson, plus a 3rd this year and 4th next. We need two OTs, another WR plus resign several of our FAs plus AROB. If we lose Johnson, we are missing a CB and SS with little in backups. Sounds like a something that just isn't going to happen.

They didn't keep them around and think they are going to fail. They think we're close and are a few moves away from being a SB contender. The only way both of them survive is to hit a Ryan Tannahill type of move. Which probably won't happen. George is viewing the situation as a glass half full no matter how misguided that may be. Changing regimes this year wasn't going to make us a winner this year, their playing poker. We can only hope for the best.
  14. Almost any QB mentioned in trades is much better than having our past QBs. Obtaining the elite would devastate our next 2 years of draft picks. How would that make us a SB contender? Watson didn't make Houston a SB contender. Our cap situation puts us in a [ it ain't happening category].
  15. Seahawks aren't trading Wilson without getting a QB back in return. They don't pick high enough to draft a starter. I would say Carr goes back plus maybe a couple 2nd round picks. Mariota might be in play, he is set to make 10 mil this year and they will need the cap space. So what would he command in draft capital? We don't have a 4 which is probably the right value, a 3rd?
  16. I seen where Wagner (RT) from GB got cut, anybody interested? He was average last year but at least bring him in on a cheap price to compete with a rookie at RT , definitely a better option than Spriggs who wasn't very good. We need to draft 2 OTs, 1 WR, 1 QB, DT, CB,SS, ILB, TE, and pass rusher. All of that is not happening in the draft. So the first 3 picks have to be OT, QB, and WR preferably in that order. We need to tag AROB, but keep him. Why trade and then draft a rookie or sign a free agent that will not be as good, that doesn't make sense.
  17. I don't think there is a dream scenario we can look forward to. No Derek Carr, no Watson. Maybe after a year in the system, better OL, more of a commitment to the running game, Foles has a better chance to succeed. Maybe defense plays better.
  18. I agree he will be a situational pass rusher but how much is that worth? 3-4 mil? He will get paid somewhere else. I'm not sure why but the disappointment which is Quinn, I'm thinking he has a bounce back year. For some reason, players never do what you expect them to do but when you expect nothing they surprise you.
  19. Getting Minchew would be the upgrade over Bray with potential to start if Foles fails. Foles will be the starter in game one. Ideally we draft Jones or Trask and mix it up and see how it works out.
  20. If we got him at that price, I would have been okay with deal. I'm okay with adding a vet as long as we don't blow our draft up. I would go after Minchew, what do you think Jags would want.
  21. It's a good addition to bring in some that have good experience instead of all first timers. Probably helps.
  22. The only way he comes here is if we pay him. He has a lot attention and that will drive the price up. His age and injuries put him in risky situation. I can see him go to TB on a 1 year- 6-8 mil deal.

Nagy has a 28-22 record since taking over. That doesn't make a good coach or bad coach, it makes him average. Especially since he has had poor QBs along the way. The single most important position in football. I'm not trying to drink Nagy coolaide but he's not terrible. Having said that, I prefer to move on from him.
  24. If Wentz does well enough for someone to want to trade for him, they would just keep him. If they have to give up a +1 for him , if he does bad, they would be lucky to get a 3rd pick back. This will be win win , or everyone gets fired anyway.
  25. The problem is if the defense does well Desir will get the credit and we probably have winning season so no one leaves.
