They have made good and bad plays along the way, to many TOs today, but we did enough to win two games in comebacks. I will hang my hat on that.
-
Alright something positive out of your mouth, I will have to stop with the sarcasm.
-
I dont care for negative people which puts you on my shit list also.
-
I have to admit we have looked terrible two weeks in a row coming back to win two ball games. I am not sure I can stand to watch such shabby football, Im on your side 4 ever negative.
-
Oh I apologize if I hurt your feelings, so what did we do wrong on our winning TD pass?
-
So are you married? you look at the negative aspect of everything, would hate to be your wife.
-
the weather seems to be affecting our offense, we should have more points.

Trestman might not be as endearing to his players as Lovie was but I think he is a much better coach. If people dont cut it on this team, he will try something different. Lovie would just stick with players until they killed us.

I would like them to win 55-3 but that wont happen. It always bothers me when we are over whelming favorites. I think it will be a tight game, 23-20 with a turnover late in the game and Gold kicks a FG to win it.

I think the problem is poor tackling. With the lack of hitting in the offseason, it just creates the situation where you have a couple of games before we get the art of tackling down. Peppers and Melton didnt show up and that is a result of lack of work in the preseason. It will come around.

On paper the Bengals looked like a better team, but they lost there cool and gave the game away. The Bears had enough resolve to snatch the victory. One game is not a good sample size to gauge this team, but it was a good start, with some good and bad and they won the game. Thats all that matters at this point. In the NFL there are always a couple great teams, a couple really bad times and everybody else in the middle, what separates the good teams from the bad teams is taking advantage of what the game gives you and win it. our ranking are close to where they should be right now, and after 6 games we will know exactly what we are, but for now were 1-0, that works for me.

I learned along time ago to just play your best players. Nelson will have a good game, but I think Welker is on a roll as Manning's favorite target. I would go with Welker.

I agree, the Bears handled it in a proper manner, where the whining comes in is the fact he is still talking about it, and made out the Bears didnt tell him they werent giving him more money. Well they offer you a contract, and they have to explain were not giving you anymore money? It dont work that way, his ego got the best of him and he stated he wouldnt work for that but would if someone ELSE offered it. He was my favorite Bear but instead of going out with class, he blames everybody else for him not being on the Bears. Its his fault, let it go and later be honored as a great Bear that will come in time.
-
I totally agree, he comes across as whining when tries to rationalize the circumstances that led to him being out of football. He was my favorite Bear at the time, but his time has passed and people need to just let go

One game is to of a small sample to judge a whole season. It will have its bumps in the road, but entertaining for now.

The Bears might not have won? Go thru and pick most games and there is always something, that if went the other way, could change the outcome. We played lousy the first half, but came back from 11 down to beat a very good team. I just cant find the negative attitude worthy of our first victory.
-
Small sample size, but lots of upside here, could turn into a strength. One year and we actually put a good line together, so much for the old regime.
-
Thats a tough hand to draw to, but lets just hope they play well.
-
Since Cutler has gotten here, were are 5-22 in games we were losing after 3 quarters, but today were 1-0 with Trestman as coach, cudos to a new coach.
-
I think Williams best fits what they need right now, with consistency but Bostic will have the more play making ability and will eventually get the nod. Nice to have a couple of decent options for a change, instead of mediocre backups.

Im a plumber not a english teacher, I dont really care about the form, its readable can be understood.

Before the games start to roll, I would just like to say, I really like what Emery is doing. He looks like he had a really good draft this year with 10 rookies finding spots on the team. Last years draft is still a big question mark, but with Lovie still around I suspect he influenced the draft quite a bit. If we get more contribute out of the ones left from that draft, it will be considered an decent draft. He is remaking the roster, and not afraid to get rid of people he drafted if they dont cut it. With DeAngelo, he would just hang on to them because he kept trying to prove there valve. He didnt jack with a defense although being old, is still productive, with adding some new blood. Trestman is a breath of fresh air compared to the way lovie did things. I guarantee no more delay of game penalties, wasted timeouts and bad decisions all around. I dont know how successful this team will be going forward but it sure has me enthusiastic with the prospects of us becoming a very good team. We're all here because of the beloved Bears and I think our future looks bright, there will be some bumps along the way, but lets remain positive and keep the soothsayers at bay. We have a lot of smart people on this site, and it is one of my favorite places to visit. Along the way everybody, but maybe Mad, says something stupid and then them heated debates get started. We are all opinionated and thats what makes this site interesting. If it was rose gardens and Barbie dolls, I wouldnt be here. Alot of things I say is meant to be humorous (doesnt always succeed at that) and will get misconstrued, most is not said with malicious, but I have been a jerk a few times on here. For that I apologize. It is just human nature that when name calling starts you say something stupid. I have jumped in on hot topics without lining my facts and said somethimh that has looked dumb, but willing to admit that. I have had heated debates with many on here, but when they have made a good post,I have given them a pat on the back. I will never condemn the board because most dont agree with me, I like it here, and if I tell you this is my last post, you wont see me again. Let the games start.

What are your expectations for Game 1 and the entire season?
Stinger226 replied to Bears4Ever_34's topic in Bearstalk
On offense, I would like to see continuity, where the offense runs smooth. There playing a very good defense, so this will be a hard game to measure the success of the whole season. A few big plays, no turnovers and Cutler making good decisions, would go along way to giving me confidence we going in the right direction. I would like to think, we come out look great and whip the Bengals but with everything so new, I think it will take 3 or 4 games before were running wild on the field. Defense will look good, get a few turnovers, and let the MLB spot take care of itself, hope the passrush is there. -
Actually I think we should have gotten more money back from Bennetts production.

As someone said it is time for football, instead of talking about a player that no longer plays for our beloved Bears.
