There are only a handful of QBs that make people around them better. Cutlers body of work has been mediocre, but all of the odds have been against him until 2 years ago when the team started giving him some help. He is not an elite QB but he will be remembered as a top 10 type of QB after he has team success in the next few years. As far as the money , there are only a few in the league worth all of that money, he doesnt deserve it anymore than Flacco,Romo,Capernick, only the Mannings, Brady's of the world are. Trestman thinks he is the man and our best chance to success so I will trust him and see what happens. Your opinion is moot, same as mine, only the brass has ones that count.

I agree, but better for us than the distractions that show brings to a team. The Bears have some characters on this team, would have been much more of an interesting show with us in it. I wont watch anyways.

If history tells us anything , when installing new offenses, the biggest leap forward is in the second year. Considering the stability of bringing every starter back and adding some depth, we have the potential to be the best offense in the league. Add an improved defense and we are talking about a SB contender sittings on our doorstep. I cant wait to see the results of all that Emery has done the past two years.

I think he will be a good football player but to say he is great in coverage and a good tackler after what we saw last year , is a stretch. He played terrible, cant see giving him any credit for a lousy first year.

Say what? His production on the field sucked last year, he has the potenial to be a very good player but if you go by last year, he has a long way to go.

That's fair to put in that category, but this year will change your mind on that.

We will be out of a 4-3 but it will have different variations for the more attacking defense. I think it will be hugely better than last year. It will not be top of the league but will have its moments and with such a wonderful offense, will shine at times.

I would never leave because I argued with someone. I would only post more so I could irritate them. They is always new faces to jump in on opinions, if people leave its there lost. There are plenty of characters on here to chew the bone with.

Thats a pretty stupid idea. His body didnt grow new ligaments because he hasnt played for a year. I have had both of my knees replaced that they dont get better once damaged, its never going to happen, he is probably smarter than that to even try.

I agree, I think once a ball gets rolling its hard to have it come to a stop. We just need to just keep on track with talking about the Bears and let the small talk die. I think if health stays good for us, we are a SB contender this year. We look at this on paper and say, we could be really good, but we all know each year takes on its own story. I am a optimist and have reason to be that way. It is all not perfect, but makes me smile when thinking about what this season could mean. If some people leave, that is sad but that gives someone else a chance to take a front seat and keep this going forward. We all just need to keep things in perspective and control what we do and not worry about the other guy and move on.

This is a Bear football blog and if you ever went to any games before, you would realize this is an extension of sports fans. All of there language is not under control. I personally pick and choose when I swear. If children or the chruch ladies are around, I watch my language, if I am amongst a bunch of guys, I havent heard people complaining. You,as I, are entitled to our opinions. If this site it to vulgar for you, I suggest you find a different site to visit. If you want to save the world I think you can use your time more wisely. Everybody looks at things differently, and I assumed we are all older and mostly male Bear fans, I am never an opponent of catering to a select few. The majority fall into to the category of males over 18 on here and if there is a child or women that is offended by some of the things that get said in heated exchange on here, they need to just stop reading it. I dont consider this a PG site, more of a R rated type. With all the blogs I have jumped on and read dealing with sports this in not more vulgar or cleaner than any of the others. Point is , is something offends someone be your own moderator and turn off your computer. I think we should cater to a majority and go with what standards they wish to have. By all of the opinions given so far, I think this site is alive and well.
