First of all (I am sensitive) and secondly FAs will not look at letting go of a old veteran as mistreatment. Every time comes for vets, it just happens to be his time. As I said he was my favorite player for many years, but if we can get him cheap, I am all in. I guess that means I am disrespectful to such a legend. He will play average at best,and not play a full season and I dont think that helps our team be better.

Your right, but it will have to be a risk,because we have limited draft picks, and will have to concentrate on more pressing needs. You cant fix all problems in one off season. We missing bodies at other positions, at least we have many there.

Your love for Urlacher is way off base, we need a competent LB not a past hero. Because of our cap situation if you bring him back on the cheap and that will be worth someone, but first of all he wont be playing a full season, so we have to bet a backup to replace him anyways. Secondly he is a liability on the field, you get some valve from leadership quality but that is all your getting. He is a year older and his body didnt miraculously change. Look to the future and quit living in the past.

The problem is the 3-4 needs more LBs, something were short on. No way we change now. Melton cant play NT, Paea is a better fit for that spot.

Kolb just got cut, maybe he has some upside that Testman can get out of him.

I think there are a lot of above average CBs hanging around in FAgency and once some teams blow there load some of the top names, we can get one on the cheap.

I dont hate him but am considering his football skills. He was my favorite Bear until Peppers got here. Does anybody remember last year when Lovie got fired and he said he dont care about the fans and they dont know anything? He was an oustanding football player at one time, but his time has passed. I think we can upgrade the position, so why not want that? If he comes back cheap I am for having him here. You dont pay people for there past performance, its detrimental to the team. I am huge Bear fan, but dont wear rose colored glasses. A good draft prospect will give us a better game that he will this year. He will be lucky to play 12 games any of his years going forward. (Daryl Smith) played with Tucker at a high level (Brad Jones) played well last year as a fill in in GB (Larry Grant) played well when Willis was hurt in SF (Thomas Howard) had a torn ACL but played at a high level before he went down (Kevin Brunett) played well in Miami, but at 30 only a couple year stop gap Draft-possible Olgetree in 1st, or Brown,Collins in 2nd, Reddick or Bostic in 4th speed WR- we have Golden Brittan,Joe Anderson ,Weems Options (Titus Young) no way (Daius Heyward-Bey) speed guy that didnt live up to expectations (Louis Murphy)not much of a football player (Brandon Tate) KR type Draft- Austin in the first,Baliey or Wheaton in the second, Stills or Swope in the fourth,Boyce or Robinson in the fifth OL we have Brown, Williams,Carmi,Dennis,Brandon,Priscal, Webb, Garza, Options (Louis) our best option at RG (Scott) with Webb and Carmi back to RT, dont see this happening (Moore) older pro that can still play (Boothe) can play both OG and OC Draft- Cooper, Warmack, Fluker in the first, Warford,Thomas,Jones in the second,Flotz,Winters,Schwenke in the fourth, Gilkey,Cave, Madsen in fifth OVERALL- I think we should trade down with AZ and grab a 39,68, and a extra 6th With that we 2nd-Warford/OG 2nd-Wheaton/WR 3rd-Scjwenke/OC 4th-Bostic/LB 5th-Gathers/DT 6th-Wilson/CB 6th-Knott/LB We resign Louis,Idonije, McCown. How about bringing back Josh McCown ? He played better than Campbell played last year when he got to play the year before.

Nick Roach will be playing in Oakland next year. No big deal. We have a new regime so its time to add new players for the new era in Bears future.

Like Ditka said(losers live in the past) When he retires I will admire his great moments, but when I want my football team to succeed, hes not worth it.I would bring him back on the cheap, but to pay him a lot of money for the performance your going to get is counterproductive to a winning football team. He can come back and be a leader, but if you want a good football player, we need someone else. DEAL WITH IT
