  1. I agree with you on his valve but he has been rising up boards and probably will be drafted in the first. I say if we slide 10 spots and an extra 3rd would take a flyer, if our other options arent there.
  2. I have read an article about Jared Crick /DE/Neb. He had two productive years until last year when he tore his pictoral muscle. As a 3rd round pick he could be a great valve, since they say he had a first round grade until his injury. Also he could slide in to the 3 tech tackle spot as he has played inside before. Andre Branch/Clem/DE in 2nd or 3rd. High production senior season, long armed, non stop motor. good speed. Jack Brequette/AR/DE at a 4 th or 5th rounder has good size, non stop motor, stength and 10 sacks senior season.
  3. I would say it would take more than two #1 to move to a spot to draft him. May a #1,3,6 this year a #1 next year. We need to many spots to fill to take that jump. If we didnt have such an aging defense, I would say maybe.
  4. I think we draft him as a DE, but I can see the situation where he could be put in Urlachers spot when he is gone and become the next big thing in LBers for us. Urlacher was a saftey in college, and was first tried at SLB and then moved to the MLB spot and flourished. The moving down thing is a more valve for him, but do see him still as a first round pick.
  5. I think he is stating the obvious more than slamming JA, I guess the point is we need to make the oline better and I totally agree with him.
  6. All of those are right on, which one do we take in the first. The problem is the first or maybe second is the only spot you will find a LT.
  7. Haugh had a nice article this morning in the tribune( I am to computer stupid to transfer the article here), about Emery and suggested we are a good Oline away from being a very good team.
  8. With his attitude and football presence I can see him taking Urlachers spot in a few years if drafted here.

Its a mute point because no one will know how well he may play or whether he sucks, because , no matter what the reason, he will never play in the NFL again.

here is a 5,000 comment, yes yes yes. Depends on who is available in the first spot.
  11. I agree except for Allen has the potenial to be better,IMO.I think Webb is what he is and not much more of improvement going forward. I think being a starter for 2 years , his second year should have shown more improvement.

It was 16 sacks and thing he is great upside going forward.
  13. I would love to get Coples and Quick would be a nice addition. I think Massie could be there in the second, but Allen could be an aternative choice, more of a third round valve.
  14. There are still a few safeties out there, I would think with the weak draft at that position, we might get a FA.

Were getting close to the draft so everybody want to have a say as to who they want and who they think the Bears will pick. It has to be somewhat realistic, like Claiborne, the qbs, the rb, one WR, the LT wont be there. There is a possible one someone dropping but not who I mentioned. For me , it would have to play out but would like Kuechly to drop to us. He is a stud, 532 tackles in three years. He would continue our Legends of LBers we have been lucky to have had, even thou we have more areas of need. Who I think the Bears will draft would be W. Mercilus/DE/ Ill. I think they like him a lot and the other couple of players they may want will be gone.
  16. We would never get a good enough draft pick to make it worth it.
  17. The SLB comes off when we go to the nickel package, so I doubt if that changes.

You cant really compare TO to signing Rachel, number one there is 9 years different in age and if your going to roll the dice, 28 is a better age to have someone than wont give you a one year and done. TO is getting no attention from anybody, and I think there must be a reason, and its not just because he is a pud, I would say he just cant run anymore. Moss gets a chance, because he still can, but doesnt mean he will be that good again, plus he isnt getting the vet min. salary. We gave a one year diva a chance last year, and I doubt if Williams will even make someones roster.

First we have a different guy drafting so , I think we need to see what he can do before we compare him to JAs first round choices. The fact is 50% of the first round turns out busts, so its a crap shoot, but the better lineman in the league are high first round picks. There are exceptions to that but 2 out of 3 were in the first round. Rachal at the min. does not have many expectations that come with him. He is a big, nasty attitude type that may get his short comings corrected in a fresh start with a new team.
  20. We wont be asking him to start, and with him being a 3 year starter for the Bucs, maybe he has the chance to be better than Roach, we wont know until training camp, but one thing for sure, he can add more than the other backups we had last year.
  21. Yah, if they banned players that smoke pot, half the league would be sitting. The problem is not being smart enough to get caught.
  22. What gets me is all these scouts watch tape of the whole year, and rate these guys and then The Combine, and some off season whoas and the players arent any good any more. He would be a great 2nd round pick. Like you said he is a play maker.
  23. Here is how I would like it to go with realistic valve at each draft pick. #1 Whitney Merculis/DE/Ill I think they like him a lot. #2 Bobby Massie/LT/Ole Miss Best LT prospect on the board and has valve at this spot. #3 A. J. Jenkins/WR/Ill Could turn into a #2 WR for us leaving Bennett at the slot position where he can excel. #4 Jaye Howard/DT/Flo Has great potential with speed, just needs to find consistincy. #5 Shawn Prater/CB/Iowa Fits best in the cover 2 scheme #6 Terrell Manning/OLB/NCS Productive speed guy. #7 Lance Mitchell/SS/Oregon Productive with some size. My unrealistic draft(they wont be there when we draft them) #1 Kuechly/LB/ BC a stud that will make any team better #2 C. Jones/DE/Sary got some upside and is moving up to the first round #3 J. Allen/OT/Ill could eventually become a starter #4 Josh Norman/CB/CC tall cb with starter potential #5 Jaye Howard/DT/Flo see above #6 Ryan Broyles/WR/Olk caught passes, passes, passes #7 Tavon Wilson/SS/Ill good size and consistent player.
  24. There looking at anybody that can generate a pass rush and I think they will find the right one.
  25. If your head aint staight when your in the limelight looking for a big contract, let someone else take a risk on him, there are plenty low valve LBs that were productive and be worthy of a chance. I have only seen him play in one game but AZ54 has more info than anyone on here, so I go with him. FORGET IT
