  1. And as importantly I have zero interest in a RB at 10. Zero. The Boston College DE had a ton of sacks and on field production as well which I like. But Mykel Williams tools are elite - he is young, production not quite there but I think he has Chandler Jones upside.
  2. Simmons is the one I actually like the most but obviously coming back from injury. Reality is I can get on board with anyone they think will stick at LT and be good. Don’t want to take a guard prospect in round 1 given the other moves they made. Missouri tackle has very good athleticism if they think he can grade out at LT as well. Would also be fine with Mason Graham at 10 but can’t see him there.
  3. I haven’t watched the tape - so my opinion is purely based on some oline scouts I tend to like who seem to question his ability to stick at LT. I don’t see that same question with Campbell. But being clear - I still have homework to do and could change my mind.
  4. Myles Williams or Cambell are who I really want at 10. If I can’t get one of them - I’m moving down for Simmons.
  5. I agree - Bears now need blue chip impact players. That is an area Poles has struggled to find and we need to see that change.
  6. Rondale Moore and Mecole Hardman visited the Bears today. I really would love a short term deal for Moore. 24 with tons of speed - coming off injury and I think in right role could thrive as a slot / take the top off guy with some gadget and special teams thrown together. Both players are speed guys. Moore was like 4.33 coming out - injuries have been a big issue with him and he missed all of last year.
  7. Definitely a name I like - my guess is we see dline, oline and RB with 3 of first 4 picks…so maybe wideout is the next (or te) or safety or another dlinemen. A trade down or two to get a few extra picks in a draft where the top isn’t super strong but than the next pool is deep would be awesome.
  8. I agree. It would take a team who needs a wideout or has a high grade on an interior linemen or a better grade on one of the tackles than the Bears (imo).
  9. This is my view. He is a utility guy - can’t give a first round pick to a guy who doesn’t project a starter in the next year (and an elite starter at that). Would much rather take a shot at Simmons - high high upside presuming he is healthy. Or the Missouri tackle - shorter arms but elite LT athleticism.
  10. I really think unless they have Avery high grade on an LT or DE there, or they have the TE or RB super elite - they are best moving down (but they need another team willing to move up). The one wildcard - is there an elite LB or DB available? If so - even if not a position of need, I can see Bear surprising us there. But given needs and depth (with lack of elite likely at 10)…if they can get something to move back 7-10 spots, I think it would be worth it. Than take the back or move back one more time and take Hampton and than go with a TE, Guard, Tackle (Simmons) and a linemen or two with the slew of 2nd and 3rds they would have from moving back.
  11. Thuney is getting one too - presume this basically helped with the cap and gave Bears basically the prime of Jackson’s window while he is under contract. Thuney probably gets a 2yr extension is my guess - probably 40M. Maybe a 3rd year that is like dead money.
  12. I think they still need one more wideout - unless they plan on drafting one in first 3 rounds.
  13. Keenan is still out there too - wouldn’t be shocked if he ended up coming back. Figure it is here or LA. Don’t think he will go anywhere else. Haven’t looked to see what Chargers did but I could also see Keenan on a 1yr 10M type deal (big cut from last year but with a better coach). I would prefer one of the other guys - just cause it seemed like the broader parts didn’t compliment each other well enough - but I know Caleb got along real well with Keenan.
  14. Cooper Kupp, Amari Cooper or Lockett would all be very good short term deals at wideout. I say Kupp because it seems like he is trending towards a release. Great route runner in slot / 3rd down option for Caleb.
  15. I wonder if Jeanty is a smokescreen and they are trying to hope one of top OT or DEs make it there to 10.
  16. Tyler Lockett would also be a good slot guy on a short-term deal. Older but he's been a model of durability in his career and has made his money on 3rd down.
  17. I'm not going to lie - I have said I'm going to wait until I see in season productivity from this franchise - but Poles and Warren and McCaskey's have killed the off-season. From hiring Ben Johnson and the staff they put in place to how they have upgraded the trenches significantly in the past week - and with a combination of youth and vet's as well. Really really fired up about what they have accomplished - better than anything I could have put on paper and it feels like the draft matches up well for them to really take this off-season next level and truly put the franchise in a position to really accelerate forward. Just don't take Jeanty - I don't do RB's at 10.
  18. Amari Cooper on a 1Yr deal would look great.
  19. This fits DE in Rd 1. Ayo plays both DT and DE. On rushing down's he is outside, but he moves inside a lot on passing downs - which is kind of perfect in terms of length and flexibility and means if you draft someone in Rd 1 at DE (or even with Rd 2 pick) that is a really nice duo along with Sweat. A lot of talent plus versatility if done right.
  20. I would lean towards a trade down or a DE / LT at 10. In free agency at this point - I'd be looking for a potential vet LB to replace Sanborn (unless we like someone in-house) and still need a vet wideout or two. I don't expect any more moves for a while - basically sit and see where the market is. But what I do like is - they invested in the lines, now we just got to hope they found the right players. I also like that these deals are all largely 2 year deals, so the Bears still have a ton of flexibility in play. No doubt the team has made significant investments into the 3 biggest weaknesses of the club (Oline, Dline, HC/Lack of Offensive Minded HC)
  21. Very interesting - they have put their money into the lines and really invested there. I expect we'll also see a couple draft picks there, but clearly RB is going to be a spot they go early (I still hope it is Rd 2 vs. Rd 1).
  22. I think all of these give the Bears quite a bit of flexibility when Caleb would be due to get paid, etc.
