No denying that our offense has been improving each and every week. Hopefully it continues to improve and Jay continues to get better!!!
-
Not really. We lost in the super bowl because the Colts ran down our throats. Manning was mediocre in the super bowl and it was a joke he won the MVP.
-
We state that, but in the year the Bears made the super bowl, the cover 2 defense did an excellent job against a nice New Orleans west coast attack led by Drew Brees.

Belated Xmas wishes and happy holidays to everyone here!!!

I allow a defense that has played as one of the best in football to have 2 bad games in a season. You overreact to everything.
-
His best plan is to sit on the bench, if Webb struggles and they fall behind, he says, I'll give it a go. If he fails, they say, oh wow, he tried, if he succeeds, he retires with a very strong PR related story.
-
Regardless, it is time for the players to shut up and worry about the game. Like CUtler said, if he'll play wherever you ask him too. He'd prefer a safe football field, but if it is a parking lot or an ice hard field, so be it. Kick some ass Bears!!!
-
I think he will play.
-
Favre may or may not be playing, either way, the Bears better bring there A game and get this stupid stadium issue out of there heads. Kick some ass and play good football. Lets clinch Baby!!!
-
And I could honestly care less, since those have been our best games of the season, sans last weeks disaster. Jay spreads the ball around so if Olsen is getting open, he'll get the ball. Olsen has been a much improved blocker (outside of last week) though.

Just an FYI gents, our cover 2 is dependent on a pass rush. In snow it is damn near impossible to generate much of a pass rush against a team running quick passes. In hindsight we should have blitzed a ton but that isn't the Bears style. Play the game in different conditions and it might be a different game. Either way, I tip my cap to to the Pats. They are a great freakin football team. But you know what, the Pats once got their asses kicked by the Browns and it didn't end there season and I'm not writing off the Bears because of one bad loss. Shit happens.

All of you crybabies can piss off. Pretty pathetic how you pretty much sit around rooting for the team to fail. We get our asses kicked by the best team in the league in conditions where no team is better than them. On top of it, we had horrible turnovers (fumble by Knox) which really burried us and we failed on opportunities early in the game to stop the Patriots. Once we fell behind big time we were screwed.

Ah shit, that means I'm going to get that same go. I guess I'll be at Patsys in Laguna Hills/Laguna Niguel. -
To be honest with you, our WR's are better suited for making the big play short and breaking it for TD's. I'd like to have a bigger more physical wideout that we can utilize on deep balls where Jay can throw it up in one on one coverage and our guy goes up and gets it. He can't do that now so the margin of error is much smaller as Knox/Hester need to be wide open and he needs to make a perfect pass.

It is hard for me to be as optimistic as you are. Jets are probably the most winnable game on our schedule and they have 9 wins for a reason. Pats are damn good and a road game against the Vikings who are playing much better will be tough. I think our game @ Green Bay is our toughest. I also think we need 2 wins and that 1 probably won't be enough given what the other teams have done. If that 1 win was GB, than I'd say it probably would be enough. Bears are going to have to earn this thing. Lets hope they do it
-
The scary part is, with the way the rest of the NFC is doing, it really will take 11 wins to be safe. Which means the Bears need to win 2 of the next 4 and that is not an easy task. Come on Bears, keep on improving and keep on winning!!!
-
The offense bailed the Bears out big time today. The defense played flat. It reminded me of the 07 through 09 defense where you expected big things but they were just slow and beat up. Hopefully they'll elevate their play against the Pats. Drew Stanton played well for the Lions though.

No trap game, lets win baby!!!

Getting rid of Lovie at this current point in time makes zero sense. If he keeps this up and they either A) win the superbowl or continue to win early next season, the man deserves an extension.
-
I'll say this about Jay, it seems like more people are talking about what a fiery leader he is and how he's the type of QB you wouldn't mind playing for. I still think everything is a bit early, but I hope we continue to see him grow and develop at QB cause we know he's got the skills, its just a matter of maturing!!!
-
I'd say the coaching scheme worked fine. They forced Philly to eat up the clock and accept high percent short yardage plays knowing that it would be tough for them to hit the end zone. I still dont' know how that TD pass made its way past all the Bears in the area. The game was completely dominant. Oline played well outside of a stretch in the 2nd quarter where they forgot what blocking was (3 sacks in a limited number of dropbacks). Again I will say, touche players and touche coaches!!!
-
Dilfer is a giant shithead and I hope he is talking in February about how lucky the Bears were to win the superbowl.

Huge game for the Bears, could be a statement game for the Bears!!! lets hope it is!!! -
It only makes sense. Now the better question is, when will Brett stop playing?

I'm not trading our draft picks. We need those things right now.
