Martz might have ruined Cutler. Cutler looks bad, Bears offense looks work, and I as a fan have to watch this shit. I don't know how we have the wins we do, but this is just some sad ass shit right now. I hope they figure stuff out and fast.
-
I'm sorry, but this is freakin ridiculous. Martz is so bad. I wish we had Turner back.

Against average lines, those blitzes would get teams in trouble. teams can blitz versus the Bears effectively because we can't currently do anything about it. Blitz like that against an average mediocre line and decent offense and a team gets torched.

Wow. Decent blocking skills? Are you kidding me? Are you serious? No way, no way at all. He is one of the worse blocking TE's I've ever seen and it is evident when you watch the games and watch all of the plays where he is supposed to get his body on a guy before going out on a route or when he is just blocking. In fact, in the Denver game alone there were numerous sacks where he was responsible for blocking the CB and he either A) whiffed completely or did a horrible job. Gets open? When, usually when I look his speed hasn't been a factor, especially at some of the gamesI've atended. Tough catches? He's made a couple nice catches but by and large never takes advantage of his large size or speed for that matter. And from a hands standpoint he did have that nice seam catch but I can count his nice catches on one hand and that means he isn't that good of a wideout (and I'm talking over his career). And quits on routes, there were two different interceptions thrown on seam plays down the middle where Olsen broke off the route inproperly because he was being jammed and both of them resulted in picks. There was another player this year where he gave up on a pass that was away from him, but in range, and because of that instead of breaking up the pass it turned into a pick. And he has a history of doing this.

In defense of our oline, communication is the biggest factor that goes into blocking and we have new guys in new spots each and every week. You can't do anything when you have absolutely no cohesion, when you aren't familiar with where the guy next to you will be. And that is something that takes time and doesn't happen over night. The problem is our offensive system will kill our best offensive player by the time that happens. And yes, this oline should improve soley because they should develop a better chemistry. They won't be good though, no talent is still no talent, but no talent mixed with no chemistry is the worse oline in the history of football.

His plays don't take advantage of anything but our giant weakness. And by take advantage, I mean, completely assist the oppositions dismantling of our QB. All I know is late last year, the Bears put up quite a few points with the Turner/Cutler show. And no, I'm not saying I want Turner back, but he's never been this pure shit OC that you all think he is. Turner was at least smart enough to limit his offense when he had no talent (which was most of his tenure) to ensure we could take advantage of our D, etc. Maybe if we invested into our offense under Turner we might have seen something. I hope Martz shuts me up, but right now he looks like shit and unfortunately I see the Bears killing our QB as Cutler will be playing in a 3rd system next year (and if you think about it, 4th system in 4 years...1 of those years being the Shanny system). And that is a complete and utter joke and no way to develop an offense (you can't develop offenses when you are always changing things). It is why I thought the Bears should have went with a young up and comer OC and sold him on a possible opportunity to become HC if he did well and Lovie struggled (and at least with Bates, unfortunately we had no shot with him, it would have been Cutler going back to a familiar system).

It isn't even close. Clark was a superior TE in every way imaginable to Olsen.
-
Who are you watching? Are you watching the TE that can't block, fumbles, rarely gets open, and oh, quits on a ton of routes?
-
I completely agree with your assessment. I thought Cutler did a better job today getting rid of the ball quickly but in most instances where he was hit, he was hit early and quick and it was in situations where often times there wasn't even an overload, it was just one of our tackles swiveling the wrong direction and not even touching the guy. Cutler might a couple poor throws, but he also did a nice job avoiding the blitz on multiple plays and during those situations into something and he did a nice job hitting some under-neath crossing patterns. He also suffered as a result of some drops. Still, I wouldn't say Jay had a good game, nor would I say he had a horrible game. But it really is almost impossible to have a real good game without an oline.
-
I can't agree with you at all. Martz is completely hindering the offense right now. The oline is terrible and instead of adjusting and dealing with it, he is putting the Bears offense in even worse situations to succeed. Oh and DA needs to be on the field. You can't just have small receivers because there is such a smaller margin for error with those guys than there is when you have at least one bigger WR on the field. Oh and Olsen with another POS game.
-
WTF, another tackle doesn't block anyone and Jay gets killed. Worse of all, we had a shot at a FG to tie this thing. Absolutely freakin disgraceful.
-
Martz combined with our oline = Cutlers funeral. Shit.
-
Time for a Bears TD!!!
-
That looked like an underhand pass, possibly a fumble.
-
Omilaye with an atrocious job there. Nice analysis by Billick all day. Our OC has been incompetent as has our oline.
-
freak u oline, pick up the blitz
-
After those three passes? The ball to DA was only catchable by DA, it wasn't a turnover looking to happen. bad pass, certainly. The pass to Knox was ill-advised and on 3rd down Jay was just throwing it away. Why Martz called for 3 straight passing plays is beyond me. Dude is showing why he hasn't been in football the past couple seasons. Hopefully he adjusts. That said, Cutler has had some nice plays today too. He's been rusty too though, but he's made some real nice gains and big plays out of nothing and is clearly head and shoulders better than the crap we saw the past 2 weeks.
-
Another nice throw to Knox. This is where I want a run and than a TD pass to DA.
-
Cutler with a nice throw under pressure to Knox. Knox with some nice open field moves, might get over-turned (the YAC at least).
-
2nd deep pass where we've had two players in the same spot. WTF.
-
Man, oline stinks. Jay avoids the blitz again but gets taken down. I must say, it is great having DA back in. I feel more confident now. And that pass to Bennett where Jay avoided the blitz, kept his eyes downfield and hit Bennett was a thing of beauty. Cutler has now gotten hit 6 times by my count though and it hasn't been because he's taking deep drop backs. He's made the 1st guy miss and still is getting clocked quickly.
-
Ok Jay, no mistakes here. I want at least 3, but lets get 6!
-
Seriously, a draw and you get burned for a TD.
-
It is one quarter. Seattle is owning the field position right now though so the Bears D had little room for error.
-
I don't understand that last deep pass. 2 Wr's in the same spot?
