no team is giving up a 1st rounder for McNabb, period. He is 31 and has injury concerns, I guarantee no team gives up their first for McNabb unless they receive something else in return.
we'd be lucky if he is there at 15th overall (where I project us to be picking)...
If we shift to a WCO, Jeff Otah is the tackle we need to draft... If we decide to keep the more traditional offensive scheme, then Clady is the guy we would go after...
I wonder if Ruben Brown would fit into the WCO, which typically uses bigger offensive linemen.
face it, Grossman is not good. How many times has he completely choked? How many times has he thrown easy touchdowns to the other team? How many times do we need to see his inconsistent play to finally realize he isn't the answer?
Bold are my answers...
Also, the two biggest question marks about McNabb are 1.) Can he stay healthy and 2.) Our personal is not that good for the WCO (maybe the second one is more of a statement)
of course I meant 7 million per year... and there is no way possible any team would offer him 62 million over 6 years. He'll make anywhere from 2-6 million per year, but with a 20-24 million signing bonus. He'll probably wind up making an average of 7 million per season.
Beekman was a 4th round pick and good value... he didn't work out, but you can't be considered a bust if you never were considered really good in the first place.
It deals with gain and loss... so the only way we'd get a 3rd round compensation pick for Briggs is if all the guys we sign in his place don't do good...
And Lance Briggs is worth every penny of 7 million over 6 years (which would be needed to get him...)
well, if we aren't gonna keep him, I'd hope we'd be able to get something from him via. trade... so, hopefully, I thought I'd never say this, Briggs won't be healthy enough for next week...
We can't just keep spending a couple million on a player who will be injured for the whole season. I love Mike Brown as much as the next guy, but this has been his 4th staight season that he has ended up on IR. If he will except the vet minimum w/ incentives, then maybe, but I doubt he would except that.
