Injury Update
Pretty much. Benson gets the rock on 1st and 2nd, and Peterson gets it on 3rd down. Benson isn't a third down back yet, he still needs to work on his routes and blocking. But the question is, if Benson explodes and has a huge game, who starts?

The MVP strikes like lightning, but he's no Bolt
Maybe ROY, but that is even a stretch.

Tank Johnson?
Hopefully he has just some crazy girlfriend who was into drugs. Please not let it be Tank, because he is one of my favorite players. If he is into something big, a DT in the first day could be a possibility then...

Bears Contract Situation
This is what I think who will be brought back... Free Agents after 2006 Offense Justin Gage - WR -Maybe brought back to try and earn a spot Gabe Reid - TE -Probably not returning Ruben Brown - G* -Probably not returning Defense Alfonso Boone - DT -Probably will be brought back fairly cheap Ian Scott - DT -I don't think he will be brought back. Tank has stepped up this season, and DD was drafted to take his place Antonio Garay - DT -Will most likely be brought back fairly cheap Lance Briggs - LB* -Hopefully resigned Todd Johnson - SS* -Probably brought back Cameron Worrell - SS -Maybe, but will probably not be returning Free Agents after 2007 Offense Rex Grossman - QB* -Who knows Thomas Jones - RB* -probably traded this offseason Bernard Berrian - WR* -hopefully and probably will be signed long term Rashied Davis - WR -depends John Gilmore - TE -who cares? Defense Leon Joe - LB -Probably brought back Brendon Ayanbadejo - LB -Most likely brought back Charles Tillman - CB* -Either him or Vasher, not both (Vasher should be on this list also. Isn't he a FA after 07?) David Wesley - CB - Maybe

Bears Contract Situation
Ruben Brown is as good as gone, I think, and he probably will even retire. Metcalf, who started last year and was signed to a long contract in the offseason, is waiting under Brown now and will be the starting LG in 07.

QB Situation...
This is the final thing I am going to say about the QB situation... This will be the last week there would be any controversy. Grossman played good today, but not great. I have a feeling it could get ugly against the Bucs, though. But if Grossman survives next week, and plays like he did last night, Grossman will stay at QB. Even if he does tank the final two weeks, I find it hard to believe that Lovie would make a QB change letting Griese only getting one week of playing time. With that being sad, I will not saying anything else about the QB situation. No matter what I think or say, the opposite always happens, and I don't feel like looking stupid anymore.

Hester playing offense.
I think he played very well last night for his first time really playing the Coner spot this season. I was impressed how he just came up and took out Stephen Jackson, preventing the 1st down. He did get burned by Torry Holt, but come on, who doesn't? Peanut played like shit last night, but both Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt aren't the types of recievers Tillman matches up well with. Someone like Plaxico Burress is a better match up for Tillman.

Are you ready for some football? Gamethread: Bears @ Rams
My question is why was this the first week the coaches made a big deal about checking down and such? Maybe if the coaches stressed it like they did this week a couple weeks ago, there would be no QB controversy.

Actually, he has been playing very well this season. This has been his first bad game all-season. And just about all corners get toasted by Steve Smith.

I'm still in between on Grossman. He played decent, which probably warrents another half for him. He has looked more comfortable in the pocket today, which is a plus. That TD was all Berrian though, Grossman got lucky imo. The corner jumped the route a little too early, and the rest was pure speed by Berrian. If that corner waits another mili-second, that could have been a pick-6.

So far, except for one play today, Tillman has been garbage.

How can you blame the o-line when they blitz the house? Thats what I was thinking.

Then who? Kyle Orton? Okay, about 4 hours until game time. I'm out until then. And I will post durring commercials like usual (freaking laptop pooped out on me), except this time there will be twice the ammount of commercials because it is primetime. Well, you get more BearSox on primtime!

I just want to see Griese play, see if he can lead the team.
-
Rex's struggles
Griese got half the snaps in practice. I think that means it is official now, Grossman has only one half to prove if he can lead this team...

That's a great story. And what type of low-life's leave a dog all alone like that? People like that make me sick. Well, like you would probably say, their loss.

I don't know what type of Dog mine is though. Unlike my other dog which is a full-bread Airedale Terrior, this one is a mutt from the pound, and she is also fat as heck.

Hey! Your dog looks a lot like one of my two dogs! Almost identical.

Update: Tommie Harris done for the year
Lets hope Brown, Scott, Johnson, Idonije, and Garay can step it up.

Lets go Bears, and let's hope Rex doesn't suck it up. The only real problem with Monday night is that the announcers suck, and it is a day and a half longer to wait. Hopefully we will see a Bears victory.

Rex's struggles
Isn't that what people have been saying for the past couple of weeks now? Grossman has one more half, IMO.

Well, if it wasn't for the spammers, I would have never been member 355 on a board with only 200+ members Bust seriously, damn spammers.

Brian Urlacher
Urlacher looked really young in those commercials. It was probably after his first season or something like that.

Niners waive veteran S Parrish
Parrish would be a great signing. He would probably be brought in for the league minimum, or close to it, and could be an impact. It would be a win-win situation. Tony could stay inactive for a couple of week's, while learning the team's system and plays. And he could make an impact. He would bring something that neither of the current safties have, and that is veteran leadership and experience.
