  1. Come on Bears, don't be the first team to give up a TD to the Bucs in the past couple of weeks! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  2. I think we will see mainly Benson and AP after this series. yuck, Rattay is picking apart this defense I am kinda hoping they get the field goal, and then hopefully they will kick it off to Hester. I just love seeing Hester run...
  3. But Ricky Manning isn't a distraction to the team. Right now Johnson is. It's not that much of a matter of a players personality, it is if they aren't distractions to the team. Also, it seems as if Briggs will be returning, IMO. Brian Urlacher and the rest of the team seem to be petioning for Briggs to return. Urlacher is willing to restructure his contract if it helps re-signing Briggs. And if Briggs is resigned, WLB won't be a need. And I think SS could be a second day need, because Mike Brown will most likely returning and Chris Harris and Todd Johnson have both played pretty good as backups.
  4. Mike Brown is on IR, and Vasher could have probably played today, but is not as a precautionary.
  5. Appearently the League is considering adding protection for the Umpire. For those of you who don't know, the Umpire is the referee who is in the middle of the field, behind the LB's and in front of the safties. So, for protection, they might have them wear helmets. I just think it would be kinda funny to see the umpire with a helmet on.
  6. yeah, that ^^^ Clark basically disappeared because Rex was doing nothing but looking and going downfield.
  7. That is what I thought a while ago. But it just seems to me that the team is getting tired of "Gangsta" Johnson, and might just let him walk (RFA) or trade him. And Ian Scott isn't going to come cheap in free agency, considering a lot of teams will be interested in him, and the Bears no. 1 priority in the offseason is to resign Briggs. If Briggs is resigned, there might not be enough cap to resign Scott also. Boone would resign cheap, though. Lets say Briggs is resigned and there isn't enough cap to sign Scott, then the DT situations is: Tommie Harris (who would be comming off a season ending leg [hamstring, right?] injury), Dusty Dvoreck (been on IR all season, no one knows how will perform), Alfonso Boone (he's alright), and Garay (never really seen him play). Then there is Terry Johnson. Right now no one knows if he will be around next season, or even around for the end of this season. I don't know. If someone like Quinn Pitcock or Amobi Okoye fall to the Bears in the 1st round, or some other good DT's fall to the Bears in the 2nd or 3rd round, why not?
  8. 3 arrests for Tank in the past 18 months. At least everyone else waits until the offseason to get arrested
  9. That shut me up I got owned But I still think Tank Johnson is more of trouble maker and distraction then anyone else on the team.
  10. Tank has had constant run-ins with the law. This is not a rare occurance by any means. We all knew he was a thug comming out of college, hoping he would change. But he won't. Before the Deny's incident, Ricky Manning didn't have any prior run-ins with the law in his NFL career, IIRC. It seems to me that Manning's issue was a stupid mistake. Tank Johnson seems like he'd rather be a thug then a football player.
  11. Going to be a tough game, IMO. Even though the Bucs aren't that great this year, their defense is still very good. I think they are going to give Grossman some trouble, but lets hope Rex succeeds. And Carnell Williams could have a field day with both Tommie Harris and Tank Johnson out. Thomas Jones and Mushin Muhammed are probably going to be inactive tommorow also, because of minor injuries. Lets hope Benson and Bradley have good games. GO BEARS!!!
  12. Benson will rarely be in on 3rd down, the usual passing down. It is going to AP in on 3rd down, and Benson with the rest of the carries. Maybe even a jumbo backfield with McKie going to RB and Runnels comming in at FB. I thought Jones sucked, and Benson should start no matter what because he is god-reincarnated?
  13. The thing about those players compared to Tank, it that they don't have a constant run-ins with the law. Tank is becomming a distraction to the team. All the other players you listed seem to have made just stupid mistakes.
  14. I really don't care what he brings to the team. Tank is nothing more then a thug. At first I hoped he was just making bad decisions, but now I know he is a thug. I wouldn't mind seeing the team making him inactive, and trade/cut him in the offseason. There is no need for players like him who cause distractions on the team. Appearently, Tank and his "friends" were using their backyard as a shooting range. Neighbors complained and called the cops. Since there were guns involved, and the cops didn't know what to expect, they had to usual tactical force, and that is where SWAT comes in.
  15. I'll have to agree with Allen, there should be a cubstalk. I am a sox fan, but it always fun to have a little jarring with cub fans
  16. Thats what I meant by catching the defense off guard. Use him as a decoy, and give it to him when they least suspect it.
  17. Tommie Harris - Beast, but did get injured Tank Johnson - Another run-in with the law again the other day Ian Scott - Free Agent Dusty Dvorecak(sp?) - Been on IR all season Alfonso Boone - Free Agent, not really a starter Antonio Garay - Free Agent, never even really played this season Isreal Idonije - Tweener between DE and DT That is a list of all the Bears players at DT. Ian Scott will probably not be resigned, and Tank Johnson just got in trouble with the law again-and could be potentially traded or cut in the offseason because I don't think the Bears management likes to have players who consistantly have run-ins with the law. Also, the run D has been pretty bad. What are your guys thoughts on the Bears possibly drafting a DT first day again?
  18. It would be stupid to take him away from the defensive side of the ball, because he has a lot more potential at CB then he does at WR. The only way I wouldn't mind him playing WR is for tirck plays and to catch the defense off-guard.
  19. Yeah, me to. As long as the guns don't match any guns used in recent crimes or acquired illegally, Tank should be safe. I don't think he will get in any trouble durring the remander of the season. But if it does get more serious durring the offseason, I think we can say bye-bye to Tank, and either welcome back Scott or high to another first day DT.
  20. Like someone else said, he will probably spend a month in jail, probably not even that much. But, this is not as serious as first thought though. At first when I heard this, and SWAT teams searching his house, I thought he was in some big time trouble, like 200 lbs. of coke or something. Why does Tank need 25 hand guns, 10 sniper rifles, and a grenade launcher for anyway?
