Great first defensive drive, pressure and then an INT which leads to an easy TD drive and Kmet's first TD catch. On the 2nd drive, the Panthers move down the field easily with these deep slants that seem wide open. However, the defense tightens up and forces a FG after 1st and Goal. That was a great stop. Bears up 7-3 early. Now let's see how the offense responds with a normal drive.

Pix, I agree, the odds of hitting on a rookie seems higher than trying to resurrect a journeyman who has failed elsewhere. Before Trubisky, the last 3 QBs drafted were David Fales (6th) in 2014, Nathan Enderle (5th) in 2011, and Dan LeFevour (6th) in 2010. Enderle is a funny one, they passed on Tyrod Taylor, Charles Clay (TE) and Pernell McPhee, who all went within 20 picks after Enderle.

Darnold is much better than both of them.

You should be able to put him in the IR spot, and yes, unfortunately, you have to keep him on your roster. For eligible keepers, you have to draft them and they have to be on your final roster.

My bad, yeah, I would like to see what Miller can do. He carries way less drama and baggage. The only unknown I guess is Miller's health.

Miller is 26 and in his 4th year, he is who he is. At best a WR2, but more than likely a WR3. He shows flashes but lacks consistency. He is not a WR1 for sure. ARob is 27, just a year older than Miller, but look at the career production. ARob's best year is better than Miller's entire career.

He would not cost much since he is already getting paid a ton by the Jets. I would assume it would be only a 1 year deal for the remainder of this year.

This is a pretty big game as we are directly competing with Carolina for a potential wild card spot. If the season ended today, we would be WC2 behind LAR. There are 3 teams at 3-2, TB (we have tiebreaker), CAR and ARZ. NO is 3-2 but is a division leader. The Rams are playing SF, Arizona is playing Dallas, and TB is playing GB. So we have a chance to pad our playoff status with a win but a loss could put us outside looking in at 4-2, which would suck. 62% of the bets coming in are taking the Bears +2.5. I know that doesn't mean much, but there is more confidence out there, at least among bettors.

It's amazing how close their career arcs have been: - Both were stuck behind QBs in college who didn't make it to the NFL - Both only had one year as a true starter - Both had big years, though Haskins was waaayyy better, their last year before the draft - Both came out of school early - Both were first round draft picks and 1 of 3 QBs taken in that round - Both ended up starting games their rookie years - Both were benched for vets I don't know, college is such a different game that if you went solely off college stats, guys like Kevin Kolb and Colt McCoy would be All-Pro NFL QBs. To me he has similar traits as Trubisky, athletic but can't read a defense to save his life. That scares me about him, especially after dealing with Trubisky for so many years hoping that this year would be the year he graduates to 201.

Compared to other young Head Coaches: SF 19-18 (Shanahan) PHI 19-17-1 (Pederson) LAR 26-11 (McVay) Only McVay has a better record since 2018.

I agree, the Lions ownership is very loyal and they have given him several passes (Stafford injury, etc). However, I can see him being another HC firing in the next couple of weeks if they don't improve. It's crazy to think the Lions are 2-15 in their last 17 games with their biggest win being 5 pts. They are not far removed from their 0-16 season either.
