I wonder where the Bears are in the Power Rankings this week. They have been lingering around 15-16, they are tied for the 4th best record in the NFL. It is hard for me to not see them finally crack the top-10 but with so many naysayers, I suspect 12-13. What is funny is they will rate teams like Buffalo and Cleveland higher but what's crazy is both of those teams have 4 wins and a negative pts differential. The Bears have an elite defense and if the games were called fairly, we would all be talking about a 33-9 blowout win.

Bears start out as 6.5 underdogs. For a 5-1 playing a 4-2 team, you would think the spread would be closer to 3. This still shows that oddsmakers do not respect the Bears. I love it. The Rams just lost to the 49ers with Kittle and Samuel having success against the Rams defense. The vaunted Rams defense did not get a sack or turnover. We need a big day from our TE's (STOP THROWING TO HARRIS). Goff only completed 50% of his passes, had 1 INT and only 5.2 yds per attempt. He didn't get sacked, but they had pressure on him all game.

This game was not even close though. The refs made it close. ARob doesn't get the same call that Fuller gets called on when Jackson takes it back for 6. Then Johnson gets called for a phantom DPI that puts the ball on the 1. That was the Panthers only TD. They had 7 1st Downs from penalties. If those calls are corrected, the Bears win 34-9 and it's a blowout.

Now your 1st Place Chicago Bears. The Packers got absolutely embarrassed by the same team the Bears beat last week. The difference is Foles is getting more scoring drives than Trubisky. 3 out of 4 games with 20 or more points. 6 losses from last year were when the team scored less than 20. That is the Bears magic number. If they break 20, they have an 80-something percentage chance to win the game. Trubisky was continually providing less than 20 pts per game.

Somehow, someway. 5-1 after 6 games. The defense has been elite. The refs have really cost the team a ton of points. Nagy needs to just be the HC and we need a new coordinator.

We need a real Offensive Coordinator. 5-1 never felt so weird.

It wasn't Trubisky, it is not Foles. The problem is Nagy. Complete incompetence on the offensive side of the ball.

The Bears defense is overcoming Nagy's incompetence. Just run the damn ball!

Panthers have received 7 first downs from penalties.

It's been BS, the team really needs to send these plays into the league. They are blatant calls. Zero consistency. Johnson had brilliant coverage and got called for a phantom PI.

The refs have cost the Bears 17 pts. This is unbelievable. It should be 30-6 right now.

Eddie Jackson with a pick-6 but its called back because they said Fuller got there too early, yet ARob is mugged from behind and there is no call. That's 10 pts taken off the board.

Wow, Santos hits a 55-yarder (would've been good from 60) right down the center to give the Bears a 13-6 lead going into the half. The Bears get the ball first to start the 2nd half.

The refs did everything they could to gift the Panthers a TD and the defense held again. Great stand to only allow a FG after 8 free plays.

Refs keeping the Panthers in it. No DPI against ARob, but that hit by Fuller is a penalty? It's football, the dude lowered his head, if anything it's an offensive penalty for leading with the helmet, what is Fuller supposed to do there? I am sick of these officials.

Bears have a great sustained drive, then ARob gets interferred with from behind at the 1 but no call. That is one I see called every game, but apparently not for the Bears. They settle for a FG 10-3.

Miller is such a disappointment. How can you flash crazy skills then just disappear. He had the first down just by lunging forward, but instead bouncing backwards and they are forced to punt. Ugh.

Yeah for sure. Leno needs to go. He has been terrible since signing that big contract. Coward has actually played decent for switching from the right side. Supposedly this is not easy (compared to skateboarding with the opposite foot forward).

Great first defensive drive, pressure and then an INT which leads to an easy TD drive and Kmet's first TD catch. On the 2nd drive, the Panthers move down the field easily with these deep slants that seem wide open. However, the defense tightens up and forces a FG after 1st and Goal. That was a great stop. Bears up 7-3 early. Now let's see how the offense responds with a normal drive.

Pix, I agree, the odds of hitting on a rookie seems higher than trying to resurrect a journeyman who has failed elsewhere. Before Trubisky, the last 3 QBs drafted were David Fales (6th) in 2014, Nathan Enderle (5th) in 2011, and Dan LeFevour (6th) in 2010. Enderle is a funny one, they passed on Tyrod Taylor, Charles Clay (TE) and Pernell McPhee, who all went within 20 picks after Enderle.

Darnold is much better than both of them.

Kawann Short, DT out for the year, a huge blow for an already weak rushing defense. Another reason why we should be able to get the running game going on Sunday.

Yep, worst or close to worst in the league, depending on the metric used. If we can't run the ball against them, you might as well pass 50 times a game for the remainder of the season.
