Yeah, I wonder if Seattle asked to move up, or the Bears were looking to move down. If Seattle was looking to move up, no way do you take that deal. If you are moving completely out of a round (19 slots), you should at least receive their 3rd this year and next.

I thought teams overpaid to move up, not down.

I don't see it as a reach. With Unger off the board, this was their next biggest need. He was ranked #48 and went #46, so I reached by 2.

Nice read. Thanks for posting. Last year I looked back at the Bears picks for the last 10 years to see basically the same thing, except from what I remember, the results were much different. So teams may vary between each other. The Lions are a great example, with all their WR picks over the last few years.

The 1st Round is complete. The Detroit Lions (Dabearsdabomb) are on the clock with the 1st pick (33) of the 2nd round.

Hopefully some of the FA veteran WRs sign before the draft allowing teams to shift needs to other areas. There are still a few viable options out there. Also, every draft has somebody or a position slip which creates some great value in the 2nd round.

These are other scenarios that could be happening in that picture: 1. He didn't like the taste of his non-alcoholic drink. 2. He was saying "derrrr" to Olsen. 3. He was singing "Bear Down" or "Friends in Low Places" 4. Diabetics are known to be gassy.
