2-4 weeks after surgery is what was said. So in other words, 4 weeks.
-
I love the Aaron Curry tryout. Sign this man now! If it doesn't work out, so be it. Can't hurt, could help.
-
Deadspin always seems to be on the right side of an argument in these situations, because they don't feed you the same BS that's been spewed over and over again on Networks like ESPN, that are very agenda driven.

Edit: Meant to post in the other Cutler thread.

Sounds painful. It's really beginning to feel like this won't be our year again. We got through most of the season relatively injury free, which is something that usually has to happen if you want any chance at winning a Superbowl, Green bay not withstanding, and in one week, we are already depleted at several crucial positions. Losing Lance Louis, our best offensive lineman, is going to hurt. Tillman now having to play through a chipped bone in his foot? He might not be the same the rest of the season until it get fixed. Losing Alshon Jeffery is another big blow. And then we don't know how serious Briggs and Forte's injuries are either.. You need a little luck to win a Superbowl, and for a while, the Bears looked like they were on that path until this past week. Lets hope the guys are able to come back and play through whatever is ailing them, and their performance doesn't suffer. We can't afford to lose any more players to season ending injuries.

They're all tough games. It's the playoffs, but given the recent history of the New York Giants, that's a team I really wouldn't want to be facing in the first playoff game. Give me Seattle.
-
Huge loss for the team. Likely to miss a big portion of next year as well.

My predictions: Falcons- Finish 3-2 (13-3) 49'ers- Finish 4-1 (12-3-1) Bears- Finish 4-1 (12-4) Giants- Finish 3-2 (10-6) Packers- Finish 4-1 (11-5) Seahawks- Finish 2-3 (8-8) Vikings- Finish 1-4 (7-9) Buccaneers- Finish 3-2 (9-7) Redskins- Finish 5-0 (10-6) Cowboys- Finish 2-3 (7-9) Saints- Finish 3-2 (8-8) Which means-- Bears would play the Giants in the 1st round of the playoffs in Chicago. If that's how it ends up, I would be very concerned, given how insanely good the Giants have been as "Road Warriors" whenever they make the playoffs. 1- Atlanta Falcons 2- San Francisco 49'ers 3- Chicago Bears 4- Washington Redskins 5- Greenbay Packers 6- New York Giants

It's getting to be that time again. We are closing in on the 4th quarter of the season. The Bears are currently 3rd in the NFC North at 8-6. Seahawks CB's facing 4 game PED suspensions

I wonder what they took. If it's adderall, I'll lmao. -
Allen might get fined for hit (should get fined)
Bears4Ever_34 replied to BearFan2000's topic in Bearstalk
lol, what a weird guy. -
No he's not. Unless you want him to play even worse than he's played already. Carimi has been by far and away the worst pass blocker out of the entire group this year, and it's not really even close. He has ZERO lateral quickness and you want to play him at a position wear he can be exploited even more? Lord help us.
-
I can't wait until the day Kellen Davis is no longer a Chicago Bear. Why do the Bears keep doing this to themselves. Has he not made it clear enough already that he belongs on the streets somewhere? My god..
-
LMAO @ Cutler tying Webb's shoe!
-
Now that was a nice drive. Bush caps it off with his 2nd TD run. That's how the Bears should be playing the rest of the season. Chew up clock, run the ball, and play action passing off of that. Let the defense do what they do.
-
Rough start, but came out of the 1st quarter in pretty good shape.
-
Jesus Forte.. Perfect lane to run through on the 1st run of the game and he fumbles..
-
Yeah, the Jeffery thing worries me a bit. Rookies need to be on the field or their development will suffer. Ask Gabe Carimi, although, he was probably bad anyways.
-
I'll be more interested in seeing what their numbers look like in their second season. Rookie WR's tend to not have the type of impact from the get go as other positions across the league, unless your name is AJ Green.
-
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?
Bears4Ever_34 replied to Wesson44's topic in Bearstalk
Forte isn't really that good unless you can get him to the second level. He does a horrible job of exploding through a hole like the elite running backs, the Adrian Petersons, the Doug Martins, the Darren McFaddens, McCoy, etc.. It pisses me off. Most of the time he does his little jog up the middle until he gets swallowed up after 3-4 yards by the oncoming defenders. If you can open up a run lane for him early, and he can get past the initial defender, he's about as good as they come. -
I think he's playing. They're just trying to make it tough on Minnesota to decide who to prepare for this week. The Bears got bit by that trick last week when it looked as if they had prepared for Alex Smith and were shocked to see Kaepernick throw the ball all around the field from the start.

This is about as close as you can get to a must win. Bears lose this, and they fall to third place in the division.

Another player quits the Bears: Chilo Rachal

I was talking about Edwin Williams. -
Another player quits the Bears: Chilo Rachal
Bears4Ever_34 replied to Bears4Ever_34's topic in Bearstalk
Weren't they playing Edwin Williams as the backup Center in pre-season? I could be wrong. I think both he and Spencer are pretty interchangeable. Williams started a few games at LG last year and did well. Spencer was much better on the right side. -
Reports are, apparently the 49'ers got into his head on Monday, and today he got a demotion. Supposedly he couldn't handle it and quit the team. Lol. And no I'm not making this up This marks the 2nd player to quit the team this year. Remember Devin Thomas abruptly left in Training camp because he was sick of football. Sean Jensen @seankjensen The 49ers knew how to "get in his head," a source told me about Chilo Rachal, who gave up 1 sack, 1 hurry & committed 2 holding penalties Expand Reply Retweet Favorite And Vaughn says vaughn mcclure @vxmcclure23 According to multiple sources, Chilo Rachal became upset after being demoted for Chris Spencer, couldn't handle it, and just left.
