Now that was a nice drive. Bush caps it off with his 2nd TD run. That's how the Bears should be playing the rest of the season. Chew up clock, run the ball, and play action passing off of that. Let the defense do what they do.
-
Rough start, but came out of the 1st quarter in pretty good shape.
-
Jesus Forte.. Perfect lane to run through on the 1st run of the game and he fumbles..
-
Yeah, the Jeffery thing worries me a bit. Rookies need to be on the field or their development will suffer. Ask Gabe Carimi, although, he was probably bad anyways.
-
I'll be more interested in seeing what their numbers look like in their second season. Rookie WR's tend to not have the type of impact from the get go as other positions across the league, unless your name is AJ Green.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?

Forte isn't really that good unless you can get him to the second level. He does a horrible job of exploding through a hole like the elite running backs, the Adrian Petersons, the Doug Martins, the Darren McFaddens, McCoy, etc.. It pisses me off. Most of the time he does his little jog up the middle until he gets swallowed up after 3-4 yards by the oncoming defenders. If you can open up a run lane for him early, and he can get past the initial defender, he's about as good as they come. -
I think he's playing. They're just trying to make it tough on Minnesota to decide who to prepare for this week. The Bears got bit by that trick last week when it looked as if they had prepared for Alex Smith and were shocked to see Kaepernick throw the ball all around the field from the start.

This is about as close as you can get to a must win. Bears lose this, and they fall to third place in the division.

Another player quits the Bears: Chilo Rachal

I was talking about Edwin Williams. -
Another player quits the Bears: Chilo Rachal

Weren't they playing Edwin Williams as the backup Center in pre-season? I could be wrong. I think both he and Spencer are pretty interchangeable. Williams started a few games at LG last year and did well. Spencer was much better on the right side. -
Reports are, apparently the 49'ers got into his head on Monday, and today he got a demotion. Supposedly he couldn't handle it and quit the team. Lol. And no I'm not making this up This marks the 2nd player to quit the team this year. Remember Devin Thomas abruptly left in Training camp because he was sick of football. Sean Jensen @seankjensen The 49ers knew how to "get in his head," a source told me about Chilo Rachal, who gave up 1 sack, 1 hurry & committed 2 holding penalties Expand Reply Retweet Favorite And Vaughn says vaughn mcclure @vxmcclure23 According to multiple sources, Chilo Rachal became upset after being demoted for Chris Spencer, couldn't handle it, and just left. I think his future in this league is as a guard. He's not quick enough to deal with guys on the edge that can just either go around him or through him. That has been made evident over the course of the season. Move him to guard now, or next year and salvage whatever you can before this guy becomes the next 1st round pick that ends up on the streets.

I just think it's insane how a Western team wins by an average of 2 touchdowns 63% of the time in these matchups.

He tries hard, according to Tice.

http://deadspin.com/5934440/the-circadian-...rtain-nfl-teams Heard this brought up on the radio today, and found it to be a bit of mind blowing information. To give you the skinny, basically, the Circadian rhythm deals with our body temperature and overall alertness level based on the time of day. How is this relevant? Well, Stanford University did a study with NFL Monday Night Football games, when a West Coast team is matched up against an East Coast team, and over the last 25 years, the teams out West have won an astounding 63% of the time by an average of 2 TOUCHDOWNS. What's more, the team out west beat the spread 70% of the time! The West Coast teams dominated their East Coast opponents no matter where they played, because players on the West Coast team are playing at their equivalent of 5:30 p.m., no matter if the game is in Seattle or Miami. According to the study, most people tend to perk up around 9:00 AM without the supplement of any caffeine products, and then around 2:00 you start to feel like you need a nap. At 6:00 is when you start to get a second wind, and the body is at its peak performance level. That lasts until around 10:00 PM when the body starts telling you that it's time for sleep. That subtle effect on an athletes body can give you an advantage if your a player for a west coast team, where as those East coasters actually work at a disadvantage because in the 2nd half of a MNF game they are playing at approximately 11:00 PM-12:00 AM their time, while the body has already starting shutting down. This is one of the more interesting things I've ever come across, related to sports. There's more at the link. I suggest reading it through. Might explain why the Bears lost as badly as they did.

You have got to be kidding me. That's two injuries in one year for him. Doesn't say a ton about his durability. I hope this isn't another Mark Bradley situation where the guy ends up being a bust because of injuries. I had high hopes for him this year.

The offensive line had nothing to do with why he got a concussion. As Grizzly mentioned, he was outside of the pocket. On that particular play, none of his receivers were open and the pocket collapsed, which forced him to make a play with his feet. The offensive line didn't tell him to pump fake and hold on to the ball as long as he did before taking a hit. He either should have slid or threw it to Hester earlier instead of opening himself up to hits like that. If I can recall, the concussion he suffered back in 2010 was directly related to an offensive lineman missing a block. Not this one.

Yep. It's pretty cut and dry to me. Keep in mind, Emery didn't choose Lovie as his coach. He didn't have the power to change coaches when he came here. Next year he will. Here's another reason for why Lovie should be fired, if you're one of the people that believe he should be; 4 offensive coordinators he's been through in his tenure with the Bears. Shea, Turner, Martz, and Tice. How big of a leash does this guy have? Not many HC's would survive going through 2 OC's, let alone 4!
-
That play had Ron Turners name written all over it. This time it was Armando Allen on a run up the middle instead of Wolfe.
-
What do you guys think, Frank Omiyale or Gabe Carimi?
-
Jeffery out with a knee injury? You got to be kidding me, right?
-
It's not the season, but these games are typically why I always like to wait to see how to judge a team until they play someone who's actually good at football.
-
Yep. It's a mixture of both, imo. Tice, and the words genius or guru, should never be used in a sentence together.
-
The fact of the matter is that the Bears should have two stalwarts at each end of the offensive line right now. They drafted Chris Williams to be a franchise LT with the 11 pick and he turned out to be garbage. Carimi is well on his way to being garbage.

Gruden calling out Mike Tice. Love it.
