Jon Bostic gone

Featured Replies

I was actually kind of hoping he'd get one more opportunity at ILB since the guys in there now aren't doing much of anything. I understand the move, though. Can't keep you on the roster if you can't stay healthy. Wonder what we got for him.

Jon Bostic is now being shipped to new England per @fieldyates

No issues with this. He doesn't fit the scheme.

Peace :dabears

Bears get two 6th's rounders out of Bostic and Allen. Not bad, I guess. I'll tell you what is bad, though: Phil Emery's 2013 draft class. Only Kyle Long, Marquess Wilson, and Cornelius Washington remain. Very likely one or two more of those guys are gone next year..

Yeah, that draft was awful. Wilson will probably get cut. He stinks. Washington is might stick another year (if he can get healthy). Was coming into his own as a core special teams guy (who has some upside).

Bears love Timu from what I've heard so getting a pick for a guy who's probably 4th on the depth chart is nice.

Next question is who replaces these guys on the roster. I know a few guys who were once high picks were recently released (still young...just busts on existing team). I wonder if Bears take a flyer on some of those guys. Would think we'd be targeting wideouts and guys in the secondary first and foremost.

I think going forward its all young and developement types. With our injuries , we ain't going anywhere. There doing the right thing and with a shitty record higher end drafted players, the rebuild continues.

Is Ratliff on the 53?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Jonathan Anderson come up to take Bostics spot.

One of the rare occasions where we all agree. A 6th for a guy that barely made the roster and was probably going to get released at the end of the season? That's a win.

Yeah right. The Patriots are known for making dumb trades. He'll probably be a superstar in 3 weeks.
