Clausen waived

Statement made? Jimmy is gone and Fales is new backup. Gotta draft a solid QB to groom next year, oh, unless Fales has something we don't know.

Good riddance!

Goes to show you they are rebuilding and continuing to move forward. They knew what they had in Claussen and knew he was not going to be a part of the team next year. Giving Fales the practice time and getting a closer look at him will help them evaluate his worth.

Surprised he lasted this long, especially after the Sea performance were he couldn't throw a 5 yard out route.

He should have been cut after the Seattle game.

Peace :dabears

And he joins the illustrious list of EX Bears QBs. Thanks, but not sure for what.

I put $5 on the Ravens signing him.

Trestman and Claussen reunited!

I read where there was some outside the org. interest in Fales and the Bears brought him up to block teams(Guessing Ravens) from plucking him off the Practice Squad.

Moderately interesting stuff if they think of Fales enough to block other teams from getting him. Must be developing.

Scouts saw him as an NFL starting caliber prospect, more so in a west coast offense.

Who says he cannot be a poor mans Derek Carr?

I remember when AG called for him to start. Bahahaha.

Hey Skippy, when was this? ?

Admittedly I had thought he'd do better than he did but don't remember your claim.

Believe it was before the Seattle game. Not positive, and could be mistaken.

To me this could be due to the Flacco injury or due to the loss essentially knocking us out of playoff contention. Either way, it is a good move. Jimmy the Pickle was horrible in relief and made Caleb Haney look like an All-Pro.

Funny that this also comes after the article about Clausen being the worst backup QB in the NFL.

Harbaugh's brother was a big fan of Fales so could very well have been the Ravens.

Being a ND fan I had hoped Pickles panned out as a good backup. The guy really was a good college QB. I never would have thought he was as bad as turned out to be.

I suggest you guys watch the next ND game and watch Jaylon Smith, he plays Linbacker and is a beast, possible Bears draft pick depending on where they draft
