All "Something" Drafts

It's that time of year when some of us are spending way too much time looking at draft guides/highlights/etc. So inspired by the recent All Athlete Draft I saw posted, any other fun All "Something" drafts you can put together for the Bears.

I can make a very credible "all Florida" draft with one little cheat that I actually wouldn't be upset with for the Bears:

1. Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida

2. Jonathan Bullard, DE, Florida

3. Keanu Neal, S, Florida

4. Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida

4. Kelvin Taylor, RB, Florida

5. Antonio Morrison, ILB, Florida

6. Jeff Driskell, QB, Louisiana Tech (but formerly of Florida)

6. Alex McAllister, OLB, Florida

7. Jake McGee, TE, Florida

Any other schools this would work for? How about an all injured draft? All same first name? All undersized? Just trying to kill time to get me through the next three weeks . . .

Love Karl Joseph and that 3rd round pick scream great value. Honestly, love it. Probably my favorite mock I've seen and I'm not even a huge Shaq fan.

All Visits Draft (based on team visits on WF):

1. Emmanuel Ogbah, DE/3-4DE, Oklahoma State (PRI)

2. Germain Ifedi, OT, Texas A&M (PRI)

3. Austin Hooper, TE, Stanford (PRI)

4. Jihad Ward, DT, Illinois (SR)

4. Antonio Morrison, ILB/OLB, Florida (SR)

5. Devon Cajuste, WR, Stanford (EW)

6. Dan Vitale, FB, Northwestern (SR)

6. Elijah Shumate, S, Notre Dame (EW, COM)

7. Roy Robertson-Harris, DE, Texas-El Paso (WOR)

Toughest part was we only visited with one CB, Jackson, and I don't think we take him at 11 and think he will be gone by 41.

I would not complain with that draft. Just read Gabriels update on a sleeper and Tyrone Holmes was on it. Fanspeak frustrates me but I do a couple almost every day on it. As much as I do not want a QB round 1, I hope we can trade down if one is available like Wentz. I think we can get as good of a player picking a little further down. Would love to gain a 2nd or 3rd and still draft William Jackson, Robert Nkimdiche, or Leonard Floyd.

On not on the premium side of fanspeak so could not do trading, but I agree, trading down and getting another pick would load the team for the future.I still think we draft a QB this year with some protests available. Wentz is the best QB this year and the only deserving of a high pick, but we do not have the luxury of drafting one so high, to far to go.

Here is my all buddy Clemson/Alabama/Notre Dame draft. Because it is so difficult to make an NFL roster going to training camp with someone you know could make the transition easier and I was looking for 3 players from each team. Unsure if Smith gets to the 72nd pick though.

Round 1 11th pick Mckenzie Alexander CB

Round 2 43rd pick Jarren Reed DT

Round 3 72nd pick Jaylon Smith OLB

Round 4 106th pick Jayron Kearse SS

Round 4 127th pick Sheldon Day DT

Round 5 150th pick Kenyan Drake RD/KR

Round 6 185th pick D J Pettway OLD/DE

Round 6 206th pick B J Goodson OLB

Round 7 230th pick Chris Brown WR

I'm gonna try a all "small school" draft.

1. William Jackson CB Houston- More I see of him, I don't think it's crazy to see him taken here.

2. Vernon Butler DL LA Tech- Love this kid. Butler-Goldman-Hicks is a scary front 3.

3. Joe Haeg OT ND St. Solid chance he can stick at LT

4. James Bradberry S Samford- Fits the CB/S hybrid type S Fangio seems to like.

4. Brandon Doughty QB W. Kentucky- Some have called him the most accurate QB in the draft.

5. Tyler Higbee TE W. Kentucky- Not only is he a solid TE, but it also gives Doughty a familiar security blanket.

6. Tyrone Holmes OLB Montana- He's getting some love after a really strong pro day, might not make it here but hard to tell.

6. Wendall Williams WR Cumberland- Supposedly ran a 4.19 at a regional combine.

7. Travis Greene RB Bowling Green- Had a bit of a hard time finding someone here. Greene is said to be an underrated "Beast."

Outside of MAYBE "reaching" a bit for Jackson, that came out surprisingly well. I'd really like this.

that would work quite well , let me throw another guy that we actually had in for a visit, Ray Robinson-Harris/UTEP

Wouldn't mind him as a replacement to the RB pick in the 7th.

Surprised how well the draft worked out using only small school players. If Fangio and Donatell think they can work with Miles Killabrew in coverage he could even be in there over Bradberry. Bradberry has safety size, and turned down a scholarship from a team who wanted him to play safety but has never played the position. Probably where he ends up in the NFL though.

If they are serious about drafting a RB early, in this hypothetical small school mock, trade down for William Jackson, add a 3rd and draft Kenneth Dixon(LA Tech) or Devontae Booker(Utah).
