Panthers (4-2) at Bears (2-4) Game Thread

Featured Replies

Carolina is 3-0 on the road and are due a correction, last two wins by a combined 6 points. Bears win a close one 24-20, with noticeable improvement from Trubisky in his 3rd start.

After scanning the Panthers forums for a bit they have serious concerns with their Oline run blocking giving up a lot of negative plays. That plays into our Dline strengths. Greg Olsen is out. WR Benjamin is nursing a sore knee and even if he plays he likely won't be that mobile in his cuts. Kuechly might be out as well which would be a big loss for their D, not just physical but also from play calling and pre-snap alignments.

I think our D matches up well with their strengths and can once again keep the game close. Trubisky and the offense need to open up the passing game, especially if Kuechly is not in the middle running the show. If Trubisky completes 20 passes or more we win 24-20.

You are correct, Olsen out, Benjamin hurting, and Kuechly in concussion protocol:

Kuechly, who was injured last week in a loss to Philadelphia, would need to return to full participation in practice before a team physician and independent neurologist could to clear him to play in a game.

Rivera was noncommittal on Kuechly’s status for Sunday’s game at Chicago. But given the caution the Panthers have used with him previously, chances are slim that Kuechly will play against the Bears.

As long as we can contain Cam, make him beat us with his arm, and have a couple of sustained scoring drives, we have a great shot.

Danny trevethan sack started off good but then defense looked soft will until Jackson stepped up for that TD. If this defense is going to start creating turnovers this could be a special D

Weren’t there some doubters here about whether Chicago’s D was top 5? Lol!!!!

Yes sir. Still have doubts. But if they continue to get takeways then I'll say they are

The offense is doing absolutely no favors for the defense. Loggains HAS to open up the playbook and let Trubisky throw. Matt Barkley threw for over 350 yards in multiple games last year with this same WR crew. Stop playing not to lose!

It is Eddie Jackson's coming out party. Reminding me of Mike Brown

This isn't the same WR crew from last yr. This yr is even worse. But I agree they need to let trubisky play

Barkley was throwing to Cam Meredith, Josh Bellamy, Deonte Thompson, and Marquess Wilson towards the end of last year and was lighting it up through the air.
