If I had to pick an ILB, it would be Roquan. He's a monster. I just didn't want an ILB is all.

Roquan Smith a Chicago Bear.

Agree. That would have been awesome. I wonder why Buffalo leap-frogged the Bears when there was no way the Bears would draft QB?

He keeps getting compared to Ray Lewis, Patrick Willis and Derrick Brooks, good company.

We now have the next great LB for the Bears, he will be a all pro by his second year. Makes everybody around him better.

TB took the trade so we didn't get to choose, they weren't going to call us first.

probably they were speaking to both, but you make a good point. If we had dropped down to tampas price, theyd still take TBs offer over ours.

So teams traded up at 7 and 10, so the Bears and 49ers missed out on that trade action.  49ers took McGlinchey which seemed high at 9.

If that happened, and the Bears passed, it was a mistake.

#12 isn't that far down, and the two 2nd rounders (on top of the Bears' 2nd rounder) would have been massive.

But if the same trade was there, then one spot earlier makes sense for the other team (obviously).

I REALLY, REALLY want Lorenzo Carter in the 2nd round now. The familiarity would make them immediately amplified.

Pace must have had conviction, not to trade down and to take Smith regardless. I like the pick, but if we missed on that price for Smith he better be all pro and not miss time with injury.

well we couldnt have missed on that price, wed have had to be cheaper than TB, else theyd just choose the higher pick for the same price

If your trading and want a guy, you talk to the next team up. Why would a team call us when they got a descent trade in front of us.They didnt call us and say if we cant get TB to trade we will get back to you.

Possibly Buffalo was concerned if they traded with the Bears Arizona would jump them by trading with Tampa? Both teams needed a QB bad this year. Arizona finally traded up later.

In the second round , we should take the BPA among the pass rushers or OL. Landry-Danvenport-Carter-Sweat or Turay

For OL, we still have Price-Daniels-Hernandez-Wynn-Colbert-Ragnow.

I think if we can trade back and still grab Ragnow/OC then grab Sweat or Turay with the 3rd pick we get. we did good.
