This is a pretty good move in my opinion. He can be traded or cut at any time with no penalty, no matter what happens.

You are entering uncharted waters with that thought.  We would be talking about a double re-tread QB being worth a first round pick.  The NFL has not seen that yet.  The only way I see him worth a first is if he performs well.  At that point, why would we get rid of him since we haven't had that since Luckman?

Dunno but I know there’s a mutual appreciation between HC Reich and Wentz; or at least familiarity.  And as far as being set up for better success now (on offense at least) he’d be better off in Indy.

If Wentz does well enough for someone to want to trade for him, they would just keep him. If they have to give up a +1 for him , if he does bad, they would be lucky to get a 3rd pick back. This will be win win , or everyone gets fired anyway.
