Matt Nagy - Lions OC?

Featured Replies

There is no way. At most I could see him coming back as a QB Coach, but not as a coordinator, especially calling plays. Goff is already bad, I can't imagine how much worse he would look in a Matt Nagy offense. The only other reason to hire him is you have an easy scapegoat if it doesn't work.

This surprises me, if any team should be aware of how bad Nagy is at calling plays, it'd be an NFC North. Lions will always be the Lions lol.

This is shaping up to a rough time for our NFC North foes going forward. Packers in cap hell, and likely to lose Rodgers, Adams, and other key players, and both Hackett and Getsy.  Vikings getting snubbed by Harbaugh, losing out on Poles, etc.  If we play our cards right and Poles and Flus can get the Bears to buy in and be competitive who's to say we can't make a run at the NFC North?

or...nobody else wants to be the OC there?

I didn't think about that lol. What a terrible job, and it's almost guaranteed to fail.

In 2018 , Nagy was coach of the year, we seem far away from that right now. Everyone was praising how good Flores is, and their NFL record are almost identical. I tink if he goes where their is a very good vet QB, he'll do fine. Not in Detroit thou

With Doug Pederson being hired in JAX, I would assume Nagy will get an interview there too. Nagy mentoring Lawrence, lol.

He'll be hired as a QB coach somewhere and will have to work his way back up the ladder. He really could just take the year off because he is getting paid. I certainly would.

Peace

After what Campbell did to his first OC Anthony Lynn, I could see them having trouble getting someone to want to be OC.

I could see Nagy and DiFillipo getting interviews with Pedersen in Jax.

Sounds like there's nothing to the rumors was hoping it was true would have been funny.  Would have been even funnier if he were to get hired to be the Packers OC.  They would go from one of the top offenses all the way to the bottom and start digging.
